I can’t wait for this week’s Once Upon a Time! Is there anything you can tell us about Mr. Gold’s reunion with his son? — Dakota
NATALIE: The details of how this reunion takes place were actually foretold long ago, as a flashback will reveal — and that’s not a good thing, at least for one series regular. Suffice it to say, do not miss the final 30 seconds of Sunday’s episode.http://www.tvguide.com/News/Mega-Buzz-Bones-Scandal-Spoilers-1060899.aspx
Does that mean bad news for Rumpel? Emma? Henry? 😕

ParticipantAn Emma and August reunion could be in the works! According to Vancity Filming, Jennifer Morrison and Eion Bailey shared a scene together while he’s in a green suit, presumably for CGI effects to be added later. The green suit makes me think August could still be a wooden man, so maybe Emma could use her magic to make him a real man again.
Source: https://twitter.com/VancityFilmingPlus, there were sightings of MRJ and Keegan (who plays the BF) on set, too!

If the Seer is the Blind Witch that was with Regina when she tried to cast the the Dark Curse the first time then it is possible that she isn’t as nice or truthful as we might hope.
I bet August is hanging out with Neal. He’s in his apartment, chilling. *grr*There is 250-300 years between Gold as a young soldier and Regina the evil queen, so I doubt it was the blind witch. Do you really think the seer could be that old. RUMPLE is the only one that is supposed to be immortal unless killed with his own blade.
For the seer to be the old blind hag we saw in 1×2, it’s possible magic was used to keep her alive for centuries. Rumple could’ve extended her life once he became the dark one, because he thought she’d be of use to him. Just an idea.

So I guess that means the dagger is buried…wasn’t there a suggestion that it was in the library basement somewhere?
Rumple had the dagger in episode 2×01 “Broken” He used it in the forest to summon the wraith. But I do think it’s well hidden either somewhere in Storybrooke or in forest. I think he is the only one who knows it’s location.
The buried treasure tweet suggests it’s…buried. lol. Maybe it’s back out in the woods.
What buried treasure tweet? Did I miss something?
ETA: Never mind, found it.

Maybe his mother died in childbirth and his father was never around or actually LEFT Rumple. If so, it would make motherhood a really noble endeavor in Rumple’s mind as well as being a good father. So when Milah becomes like she was in “The Crocodile” it’s a real slap in the face because Rumple was a good papa Pre-Dark One and Milah loved her son, but did leave him, something that happened to Rumple so he understood it. And then he went and did exactly what his father did. Oh man. Issues, guys. Issues.
Sorry, I haven’t had time to respond to all the reactions, but man, I agree with this one! Poor Rumple had serious daddy issues, and despite his best efforts, he ended up like his old man (if not way worse). Poor Baelfire! Poor Henry! 😥

So you’re suggesting that Rumple knew Emma and Nealfire have a history?
Yes, that is what I’m suggesting. I think that part of the prophesy that the seer tells pre-dark Rumple is that he’d have a son, he’d lose that son, but then a savior would reunite them. I doubt Rumple knows the entire story though like Henry is Neal’s son.
Also, the fact that Nealfire has been running for a long time might lend some credence to the idea that he is Nealfire Pan and was in Neverland for quite some time and is recently in our world: like 28 years recent.
Yes! I was hesitant to bring up this theory here since it’s been posted in other threads, but I agree with you. Neal being on the run really does fit in nicely with him being Peter Pan. A hint in this direction is from season 1 when Emma told Henry in 1×9 “True North” that his dad really liked pumpkin pie (think Peter, Peter Pumpkin Eater nursery rhyme) and why Emma really wanted her code name to be “pumpkin” in 1×4 (not my theory, but I really like it). I’m not saying that Emma knows any of this, because really, before she came to SB, fairytales were all make-believe to her, but they were likely clues from the producers/writers to us about the true identity of Henry’s father.

Hey Guys I’m new to the site but I just wanted to post a small theory about Greg’s role in the show. I have a feeling he will somehow be helpful in making the magic bean stalks grow in storybrook. He will eventually figure out that magic exists there, but I have a feeling he will be helpful rather than a threat. The name Greg Mendel is similar to Gregor Mendel a scientist know as the “father of genetics” and his experiments involved creating hybrid pea plants by crossbreeding them. I think that Anton might have trouble growing the beans in storybrook and it could require some crossbreeding of magic and science and this would be where Greg comes in. Just a small theory based on names and a few hints from “Tiny”
Hi, welcome to the Once discussion! I love this theory, and I think it makes a ton of sense. 🙂

😮 I was previously under the impression that as far as Mr. Gold knew, his son went to a land without magic and that was it. When I first read this spoiler, I thought Mr. Gold simply meant that his son has been lost for a long time. On second thought, however, it sounds like Mr. Gold has been trying to track his son’s whereabouts and has known all along his son was running from him for a long time.
Now that other tweet about Mr. Gold wanting to surprise his son makes more sense. Perhaps he’s tried making contact with Baelfire before now but never was able to get his son to talk to him, which is why he needs Emma to do it for him. 💡
This is why he needs her to do this particular favor for him. It’s not just that Emma is good at finding people. She is the only one who could possibly get through to Baelfire, because she is also Neal’s one true love!"That’s how you know you’ve really got a home. Exactly how I saw that horrible scene too. It was almost like she gave him a command and he HAD to do it. Followed by me screaming at my TV.
Yes! And the way Cora emphasized the word “master” it’s almost the same emphasis Mr. Gold used when he said “please” to Regina in S1. Perhaps Cora made a similar deal with Rumplestiltskin when she was his apprentice, only she is the one with the upper hand.

@Vampirefan12 wrote:1. If you care about Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) at all, the first scene will break your heart.
I’m already crying from the promo. Nealfire running away from daddy Rumple. 😥
2. Answers? Oh, you’ll definitely get answers — including some we didn’t expect.
Like what is in August’s box?! Please!
3. Some powers aren’t all they’re cracked up to be.
Regina probably regrets Rumple ever teaching her dark magic.
4. Someone gets royally screwed over.
This is what I’ve been wondering about the most! I think it could be the seer in the Rumple flashback, or maybe even pre-dark Rumple himself.
5. David/Charming (Josh Dallas) and Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) feature in an excellent scene that provides some much-needed comic relief.
More awkward sex scenes?! 😆
6.”I don’t want Henry to get hurt. I just want to protect him.”
This has to be Regina protesting Cora’s evil plan.
7. Someone tells a major lie.
Gotta be Pinocchio!
8. This show comes from people who worked on Lost, so we guess we shouldn’t be surprised by the increasing number of characters with major daddy issues.
We’re supposed to meet Rumple’s daddy in the flashback!
9.There’s always a price, but we never expected the one we learn about in this episode.
I think it’s a price Nealfire had to pay for Rumple’s use of magic. Perchance, he could’ve been stuck in Neverland for a long time.
10. Robert Carlyle gives one of his best, most varied performances to date.
I’d expect nothing less from our dear Bobby, so at least I know to stock up on tissues in advance.
