Yeah, Belle should at least remember meeting Mr. Gold in 1×22. However, I think the fact that she had just lost her FTL identity and witnessed Mr. Gold use magic to heal her arm is what has caused her to freak out. She was really creeped out when he kissed her and when he talked to her about charming her cup with magic. She demanded he stop talking about magic and then smashed the teacup. Really, though, who can blame her? In his desperation, Mr. Gold didn’t give much consideration to how strange or frightening Belle without her FTL memory would find magic and intimacy with a sorcerer old enough to be her father (well, actually old enough to be her great-great-great-great grandfather if you consider he is 300-years-old).

I hope the flashback is Neal’s backstory! I’d love it if he were Bae and we get to see what happens after he comes through the portal to our land. We know the present-day story is going to feature Mr. Gold, Emma, and Henry in NYC looking for Neal. I can imagine Emma identifying Neal as her long lost love, Mr. Gold claiming him as his long-lost son, Baelfire, and Henry putting the pieces together in his head and saying, “wait….” as he realizes this man is both his dad (whom Emma had led him to believe was dead) AND Rumple’s son. I cannot even wait for this episode!

Eva is so beautiful and Snow resembles her so much. The casting department got that one spot on. Poor Snow White though! She loved her mother soooooo much. Look how young Snow kisses her dying mother’s hand. I already have tears brimming. 😥

Just yesterday I was wondering if Cora might die in this ep, like they killed off Graham in the ep where they told his back story. Now that we know the dagger is in play, I’m wondering about it even more. Maybe Cora will stab Rumple, and then Regina will stab Cora? I’ve read some speculation that Regina is just playing Cora for some reason, and now that I’m thinking about it…

Yeah, I’ve long had the sense all season that Cora would be the new “big-bad” villain for S2, but once she serves her purpose of trying to corrupt Regina and challenge the status quo with Rumple, Cora probably won’t survive until S3. Sadly, I have a similar sense that Captain Hook will meet his death at the hands of Peter Pan (who won’t feature until S3 at the earliest). I like Colin, and I’d be sad to see him go, but like Graham, I don’t think he’ll last unless they decided to make him Emma’s true love rather than just a love interest. (Since I think that the writers have reserved Nealfire for that special status, I don’t see Hook staying around indefinitely).

Perhaps Regina knew she couldn’t beat Cora as things stood, there was simply no way. But The Dark One can be killed, so if Regina played Cora and Rumple off each other to set this scenario up, she could get rid of her mother. Of course, this would mean Regina becoming The Dark One…which could actually be kind of awesome, because it’d show the SBers that she was willing to make a huge personal sacrifice to save them all from Cora, but it wouldn’t instantly completely redeem her.

Regina as the new dark one – I can’t even imagine how scary that outcome would be! 😮 SB watch out!

If the writers touch one hair on precious Bobby's head I swear I'll stop watching “Once” and for all! Surely, the writers wouldn't really dream of killing off Rumple though, right? He's too central and too much a fan-favorite. He's the reason so many of us are enthralled with this show, because as awesome as the rest of the cast is, Rorbert Carlyle is a rock-star actor.

You’re not the only one to have noticed. Jared definitely is sprouting up. He no longer looks like a little kid. In real life, he’ll be a teenager next year!

Side note: I really want Grandpastiltskin to build as wonderful a relationship with Henry as Robert has with Jared. Rumple missed out on Baelfire’s adolesence and young adulthood. I hope Henry is his “second chance” to help him give up his darker ways and rekindle that spark of humanity and fatherly love that has been dormant for centuries.

Hmmm, that doesn’t bode well. Maybe Hook has gone into hiding since 2×12 left off with Rumple wanting to kill that scoundrel pirate. Or, sadly, Hook might be dead by this point. Emma did say right to Hook’s face, “If I had to choose dead man of the year, I’d pick you.”
