ParticipantI read a really great theory about what could be in August’s box which has implications for Neal being Bae and involves Emma and the BF: http://www.onceuponatimefans.co.uk/apps/blog/show/20065356-the-mysterious-man-the-wooden-boy-the-dagger

ParticipantI think it’s spelt gnostos, which means “knowledge” in Greek (it’s a silent g). Lake Gnostos therefore has some connection to being like a “fountain of knowledge” with the ability to return that which was lost.

I think that signals that he isn’t going to be written out of the show anytime soon, but he’ll be playing a bigger role in the plot.
Which would be a curious move, because didn’t he get demoted from regular cast to recurring status? But now it sounds like he’s gonna be very involved in a major storyline? Does not compute.
Yes, it’s curious, but it doesn’t mean his character will get the axe. Technically, Eion Bailey was only ever a recurring guest, but August played a tremendous role in the overall plot. Archie just never made enough appearances as a character to justify him being a regular cast member, but it doesn’t mean he’s just going to disappear either.

ParticipantI just don’t see Henry doing magic, except as a means to control his actions while asleep. He already refused magic when Regina offered to teach him, and I think he’s too smart to be tricked. No one hated the curse more than he did for enacting such evilness as revenge against his birth family. He knows better than anyone that magic always comes with a price.
I think Mr. Gold has good intentions when it comes to Henry. He said that Henry shouldn’t have to pay the price for Regina’s use of dark magic, which is what his own son, Baelfire, did for Mr. Gold’s decision to cling to dark magic. Gold doesn’t want what happened to Bae to happen to a good kid like Henry, especially since Henry probably reminds him a lot of Bae. I also believe that by showing Mr. Gold’s tenderness for Henry, the writers are setting the stage to reveal Henry as his grandson.

Oh how annoying that they spoke over that scene of Cora and Aurora! 👿 Anyone know how to lip read? 😆
Wonder who she’s gonna turn into a fish.
Well, Peter Pan always called Captain Hook a codfish. 🙂
So wish I could read lips right now.

ParticipantCould Archie possibly know something about Regina from their therapy that will tie into Cora’s arrival? So many possibilities.

Hmmm, that geyser in the title card is curious, especially given that it’s shown right after the shot of Aurora shooting up through the air. Are the two somehow related?
Great connection! Could definitely be the case. My idea is that the water is somehow connected to Captain Hook’s ship being pushed out the other end of the portal hole, but I like your idea, too.

Yes, that’s a great point. I think Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis are fans of that book series, because of all the literary allusions to it. You have the “Dark One,” “Baelfire” and “Morraine” which are all mentioned in that series.

It seems like the episode is all about Cora – and I can’t wait for it! Her back story must be interesting – I mean remember Henry (the father) saying she wanted Regina have everything she never had? And then the original Rumplestiltskin fairy tale when he struck the deal with no more, no less a miller’s daughter? (Henry and Regina’s surname “Mills” hint hint!) Well, who else could it be if not the Queen of Hearts?
Also, this might shed some light: http://www.spoilertv.com/2012/11/once-upon-time-season-2-whos-else-is.html
Yes, excellent points! Also, Daniel said in the Stable Boy that Cora was the daughter of a miller, which is a huge tie-in to the German version of the Rumpelstiltskin fairytale. And the fact that Regina pushed her mother through the looking glass at Rumpel’s bidding is a huge tie-in to the Alice in Wonderland story about the Queen of Hearts (who is likely Cora).
