I’m so happy to see Regina’s character development in 2×2. Despite resorting to magic, she realized she’d basically just become her mother by keeping Henry a prisoner in his own home. The fact that she said, “I don’t know how to love very well. I wasn’t capable of it for a very long time,” shows that she is now capable of it once more. She even said, “I want to redeem myself.” I think she very much wants to do that, and she’ll try really hard. I just fear that she might stumble again, since she didn’t burn the book of spell, but simply locked it away in the cupboard.

Here’s an interesting theory I saw on Tumblr in the form of gifs:

Perhaps Rumpel could use some of that magic potion on Baelfire’s ball and give it to Emma to follow.

A new spoiler about Emma just came out.

Once Upon a Time has knocked it out of the park so far this season! I’m SO excited! Any scoop — particularly Emma related — would be magical! (I get extra points for that, right?) — Nikki

Emma might be trapped in another land with her mom, but that’s not the only place we’ll see her this season. In an upcoming episode, we’re going to have a revealing Emma flashback that will take us back to Portland.

This seems to confirm the picture of Emma’s yellow bug by the Portland police car is from the episode.

Those are amazing photos! The pictures of Hook and Rumpel are particularly lovely. Rumpel looks especially like a crocodile in them. 🙂 Of course, this episode is bound to quickly become a favorite of mine. Swooning has already started. 🙂

That’s a great theory! I think Baelfire will be connected to Emma, perhaps even be Henry’s dad. Since Rumpel can’t leave, I think this will compel him to help in the search for Emma. The only thing I’m wondering is now that Emma has been to the Enchanted Forest and knows her identity as the child of Prince Charming and Snow White, she does have memories to lose. While she’ll always remember her life as Emma Swan in our world, she might forget her journey to FTL.

So, I agree that the reason the remanent of the Enchanted Forest was preserved is due to Rumpel designing the curse to be that way. I also think Regina had the power to chose whom she brought over when the curse was enacted. However, I like the theory of a good wizard like Merlin protecting the “safe haven” which Mulan called their home. That peninsula could be Avalon/Camelot.

I think Mr. Gold has at least 2 different black pieces of luggage (if not 3). First, there was the black trunk we saw in his shop when Regina came to get her book of spells back. Next, there was a black tote bag which Mr. Gold was stuffing full of maps of New England, Maine, New York, and Massachusetts (suggesting he was going on a road trip to find Baelfire). Finally, there might have been a third smaller black brief case, which we saw Mr. Gold open to give Prince Charming the magic potion that locates people. Since I don’t have any screen caps of those pieces of luggage, I don’t know if the black trunk we saw in the scene with Regina was the same black brief case full we magic we saw in the scene with Charming. Does anyone have screen caps of those different items?

Great point, stelio! Perhaps Regina had control over what/whom she brought over from FTL to SB. Being able to hand-pick Maleficent to come over in her dragon form shows Regina had a lot of power. Of course, she’d want to leave Cora behind. Maybe she was able to choose to bring over Jefferson from Wonderland, because she knew he could be of use to her in the future. Only he seemed to understand the intricacies of the hat when Regina wanted to retrieve the poisoned apple.

Also, I think Rumpel designed the curse with the intention of wanting to return to the Enchanted Forest someday. I think going back there was always part of his plan, once he retrieved his son, Baelfire. I think there’s also some connection between Aurora and Rumpelstiltskin, as alluded to when we saw the spinning wheel by the place where she slept.
