ParticipantRegina, Regina. I thought she’d progressed, but if it hadn’t been for Henry, she’d have killed his grandpa. Yes, she should only be allowed visitation rights from behind enchanted bars that keep her from using magic.

ParticipantCorrect me if I’m wrong, but didn’t his soul get sucked into the amulet. I remember thinking that, but I can’t picture it. If that’s the case it would explain why the wraith had the amulet.
Yes, Phillip’s soul did get stored in the amulet. Eddy and Adam remarked in a post-premiere interview that they didn’t see him die, but that someone will have to retrieve the soul if he’s to survive.

ParticipantYes, it certainly looks like Cora from behind. Same hair color, same body size, same chin and chiseled cheek profile.

Participanthjbau, that’s brilliant! An arrow with fire…. BaelFIRE! Also, Emma said Henry’s dad was fire-fighter! Love the connections. 😀

ParticipantHere’re a couple of more screen shot I took. Sorry they’re such low quality, but I can’t do better for now.
Running shoes on the wall next to desk?

ParticipantAsta wrote: Seemed like a pretty magical postcard delivery so the sender could be anyone who’s had there magic reactivated, and since the episode is hardly linear the postcard could have been sent anytime before or after the curse was broken, therefore the sender could also be someone who has not yet got their magic back like the blue fairy or Jefferson.
One doesn’t necessarily need magic to send a message via a carrier pigeon. In FTL, Prince Charming used one to send a message to Snow White, and neither of them had/has magic. So, it could be anyone in SB, with or without magic. My first guess is August, followed by the Blue Fairy, then Rumpel, Jefferson, or even someone surprising like Dr. Whale.
I agree that the sign saying “Hatters or Cleaners” could be a clear tie to Jefferson the Mad Hatter.

I also noticed the shoes, and thought they might have some significance. For instance, they could be a pair or running shoes, and Baelfire has been on the run ever since coming to our world.
I think the silver figurine on the desk was simply a bowling trophy though, and not a fairy.
Screen Shot 2012-10-01 at 11.38.01 AM.png[/attachment:2bpueh90]I thought the red hand with the fish and a miniature clock in it might have significance, but I’m still trying to figure that one out. Could be a saying like “fish in hand.” Or it could be a red herring. 🙂
Screen Shot 2012-10-01 at 11.33.38 AM.png[/attachment:2bpueh90]Also, I like the parallel between this stranger having clocks and Henry having clocks. Makes me think they’re father and son. 🙂 I didn’t see any obvious ties to Baelfire, except for the running shoes idea and Bae being on the run in a far-off land.

ParticipantYes, there’s more to Regina’s story with Jefferson than meets the eye. In the promo for upcoming episodes, there is a brief clip of Regina meeting Rumpel, and Jefferson is there. I think that could be when she was starting to learn magic for the first time in FTL. Also, I think she may have been playing dumb about Jefferson, because he knows a lot about magic and realm-jumping, and Regina doesn’t want to give away “state secrets” to Emma or the Charmings. She doesn’t want them to acquire magic, and she said it right before she found out Emma already has it. Also, Regina must have been surprised that Emma had met Jefferson and was trying to cover up her lack of knowledge about what happened in 1×17; Regina could be “saving face” so as not to appear vulnerable. Her default setting for 28 years has been one of total control and playing this pretense when Emma and Henry tried to pin the blame on her for events in S1.

ParticipantAlso, did you notice the flash of lightening hitting the tent in the new promo? Dr. Whale/Dr. Frakenstein so realm-jumped to FTL to create a monster by using lightening and a touch of magic. You see it at the 23-second mark:

Participant@TheLadyBelle: I also want to see Regina redeemed, but like you, I think it’s going to be a long and winding road. Also, I think I found the clip of that interview you referenced. Is it called “Magic is Back.” Do you have a link for it? I couldn’t find a direct URL (it was embedded) but I did transcribe what Lana Parrilla had to say.
“Regina’s love for Henry is quite unique, and rare for her. There’s only one person she’s truly loved, and for her that was Daniel. And she’s always been trying to fill that void, and I think that in that season finale in losing Henry, that void had been filled in loving him and also being receptive of his love. And I don’t think she was quite aware of that until he was lying in that hospital bed and took that last breath.”
