I think magic may be tearing SB apart – that or vandalism.

This is so mind-boggling. Lana Parrilla tweeted about the tree though which presumably Pinocchio and Emma came to our world. It’s now a stump. Do you recognize it, or am I way off the beaten trail?

Does that mean there’s still a way to get to FTL, and that there’s even an Enchanted Forest to which you can return? Kitsis and Horowitz implied at Comic-Con that there may not necessarily be a FTL to go back to after the Dark Curse seemingly blew it to shreds. Yet, you have to take what these guys imply with a grain of salt. They could just be goading us into thinking one thing, when all along, the outcome is something else completely.

there is a sense that I’m setting up Nova to be the next ruler for after the time when Reul Ghorm dies or goes to another realm.

So, fairies don’t last forever. Longer, but not forever. Interesting.

Since the Blue Fairy is also the Blue Star, it makes sense that she wouldn’t last forever. Very massive stars collapse at the end of their life cycles and become black holes.

Keegan: My guess is that she and Rumpel have a history. It remains to be seen what that history is. I’ve seen a lot of talk on the internet about Rumpel and the Blue Fairy, so I’m curious to know whether the writers have plans for it.

Also, with regards to the Blue Fairy’s backstory, I think there is some connection to Rumpel. Yet, even if she is Baelfire’s mother, she didn’t say so when she gave him the bean in 1×19. Perhaps she didn’t to spare his feelings, since Rumpel’s wife abandoned them. Also, Rumpel didn’t seem to recognize her as his wife, unless he does, but it’s less than amicable and that’s part of the hostility in their relationship. Perhaps she really just is a compassionate fairy who continued to have sympathy for a boy, perhaps her own, and tried to help him escape the dark magic of his father. She’s hard to read, and it isn’t certain if she’s doing the right thing all the time, but she seems to think she is.

Keegan: I’ve noticed that a lot of people have questions as to whether the Blue Fairy is truly good or evil in her power. I think she’s certainly been working for the good of the realm. Again, you never really know what people’s motives are. As for the level of her power, I don’t think we’ve seen the real gist of it yet. She hasn’t quite had her turn. But I can remember when they talked about Reul Ghorm in the script, and I read that one line—“the most powerful being in all the land.” And then I turned the page and [gasp] it’s the Blue Fairy! So those guys are very smart and methodical about what they put in the story.

Diane: So Reul Ghorm could be the Blue Fairy????

Keegan: Reul Ghorm IS the Blue Fairy. (Note: Reul Ghorm means “Blue Star” in Scottish Gaelic)

It’s interesting that Keegan used the words “most powerful being in all the land” to describe the BF.Those were the words used by Grumpy in 1×16 and I think SW in the pilot to describe Rumpelstiltskin. Seems like there may be some sort of power play at work in FTL. The words that the character Morraine used to describe the BF were “original power” who was “bigger than anything.” In 1×19, the BF has a funny look on her face after she gives Bae the magic bean, almost like she was secretly delighted to be sending Bae away from Rumple. Another possibility is that she may have wanted to transport Rumpel out of FTL, because she said his dark magic didn’t mix well with fairy magic.

Lil’Red wrote: Since we know Emma will be getting a love interest, and so far only know about Hookand Jack joining the male cast members, do either of them have a chance of being ‘the one-for-now-guy’?

A lot of people have been speculating that Baelfire could be one-and-the-same as Jack. IF it’s even possible for Emma and Baelfire to become each other’s love interest, I suppose that she could have a fling with Jack, who could also be Baelfire. I’m still not convinced that Baelfire is Emma’s true love or Henry’s dad, for several practical reasons like time gaps and predictability, but it’s an interesting theory.

Hopefully, it will make sense how Prince Phillip = Dr. Whale too because I don’t get the connection like I do with the other Storybrooke names.

I’m still not convinced that David Anders (who plays Dr. Whale) is Prince Phillip. He just seems too old for the part compared to Sarah Bolger, the actress who has been cast as Sleeping Beauty. Also, compared to the actors who play Prince Charming or Prince Thomas, the actor who plays Dr. Whale looks more middle-aged than like a young prince. I’m more inclined to think that Dr. Whale is either linked to Red’s or Pinocchio’s story, based on those pictures David Anders has been posting.

Since we all know by now that August IS grown-up Pinocchio, I just thought I’d post this here. Very cute! I’m hoping that the writers explain their different appearances in S2.

Geppetto: Pinocchio? But your hair and your eyes – they’re nothing like I remember.
August: Yes, Papa, but I needed to break with my past and change my appearance completely.

Now David Anders is just teasing us! I’m pretty sure that means he’s NOT Monstro from the Pinocchio story. Or is he? Ahh, just tell us already! ❗
