ParticipantSomething interesting. I re-watched the scene with Merlin’s voicemail from “The Bear and the Bow”, and there was a piece of dialogue I found that could have been misleading. We thought he said “The Dark One’s found me already”, but what he really might have said was “The Dark Ones found me already.” So maybe it was both Emma and Hook?
I checked the closed captioning for that episode. Merlin said, “The Dark One’s found me already.” The s sound at the end isn’t plural but a contracted form of, “The Dark One has found me already.”

ParticipantI keep promising to read Jane Eyre, too. I admit the Bronte sisters aren’t my favorite authors but everyone tells me how much I’ll love Jane and Rochester so I have to read it.
DO IT NOW

ParticipantSo, this little conversation between Zelena and Hook happened:
Hook: I’m not coming with you.
Zelena: Are you joking? I actually keep my word, and you decide to go down with the ship.Z’s choice of words, “Go down with the ship,” could be a nice little moment of foreshadowing for CS. While this split probably won’t be permanent, it was still thoroughly enjoyable. Moreover, Aruthr’s words to Hook: “It’s always the simple mistakes that get us killed,” was a nice bonus about Hook’s fate.

ParticipantHook: “I want to hurt you like you hurt me.”
Okay then. I get that Hook is amped up on dark magic, yet this vengeful quality does not bode well for Emma.

ParticipantLet’s not forget how Hook actually jumped off of a building to get Emma’s attention (before he knew he was the dark one…how could he not know? *twitch*). I think the toxicity thermometer just broke.

ParticipantBut… but…. family tree!!!!!! >_< aren’t they like, step…. something’s?
I only say so in jest. But um, there’s no blood or close step-relationship between Snowing’s kid and this one. If Regina were this kid’s mom, then this baby would technically be a step-sibling to Snow and Henry. At most, Zelena’s daughter is Henry’s (non-biological) adoptive cousin, not Baby Snowflake’s.

ParticipantI don’t think it MADE him evil. I just think in his anger, he’s choosing revenge against Emma. He is choosing the dark route himself because of what she did. I honestly don’t buy how that works but *shrug* I mean I get him being angry about being a dark one but enough to want to hurt Emma???
I guess that part makes a bit of sense. Hook is a guy who spent centuries seeking revenge on Rumple for killing Milha. Now Emma has turned Hook into the epitome of the thing he hates most. Hook’s not exactly going to see it as an act of love and might even seek revenge on Emma.

ParticipantTethering Merlin to Excalibur didn’t turn him evil; it just took away his free will. So why does tethering Hook to the blade make Hook evil? Also, the fact that Hook hasn’t heard voices in his head or demonstrated dark magic tendencies is ridiculous. Are we really supposed to believe he didn’t know he had dark magic?
