ParticipantAwesome! I was beginning to think that the writers were going to skip over Belle’s first character centric episode. Can’t wait to see it! And I definitely can’t wait to see her scenes with Regina. I’d like to see Belle express just how lonely she was in the mental asylum. The episode title is very fitting for her. 🙁

ParticipantPoor Snow. Wherever she goes, tragedy follows. 😆

Can someone please explain to me why Rumpel needs to choose between Belle and Baelfire? I’ve read that theory before, and I still don’t understand it. Most people are capable of loving their significant other and their child. So, why does Rumpel need to choose? The show didn’t force Regina to choose between Henry and Daniel, and the show didn’t force Snow to choose between Charming and Emma. So, why does Rumpel need to choose between his true love and his own flesh and blood?
I don’t understand it either. I’m pretty sure Rumpel is capable of loving both Belle and Bae. So, I highly doubt Rumpel will be willing to choose between them. So, the idea of Rumpel choosing between the two of them… I’m not sure if that makes any sense. I don’t think Rumpel is willing to make that decision, and he shouldn’t have to. Personally, I think Rumpel would find a way to outsmart Hook with magic or something so that he can keep both.
And no matter who he chooses, the other one isn’t going to be happy. Belle isn’t going to admire Rumpel for sacrificing his son for her, and Bae isn’t going to like that he sacrificed his true love for him either. These are two very noble and compassionate people, so Rumpel choosing between them isn’t going to make either of them happy. I think Belle wants Rumpel to find happiness with his son, and I think Bae would be relieved to see that there was at least one drop of humanity left in his father for him to fall in love with Belle.

ParticipantSnow, Charming and Belle would probably be my besties. But I’d secretly stalk Rumpel and Regina on the side. I just find them so fascinating.

Cora’s not interested in Rumple so I don’t think she’d be bothered with Belle. In fact she might want to keep Belle around. If love is weakness, then Belle makes Rumple weak.
Hook is the one to worry about. Although I think he may try and steal Belle away from Rumple rather than hurt her in order to make Rumple suffer before he tries to kill him.
I agree. I think Cora and Hook both have separate targets. Hook wants revenge against Rumpel for killing Milha, and Cora wants revenge against Regina for pushing her through the looking glass.

ParticipantAll the feelings! Poor Charming really thinks that Snow will be waiting for him on the other side. I have a bad feeling about this. 🙁
And did I just witness Charming, Rumpel and Regina all in the same room working together? WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?!?!?!? 😮 😮 😮
Just kidding. 😆 I hope we get more scenes between them. I love seeing the good guys and the bad guys team up together.

ParticipantBut to be fair, there isn’t much Belle can do at the moment. She hasn’t been trained to fight, and even though she was thrown out on her own, the Evil Queen kidnapped her before she could learn to defend herself like Snow did. Snow had to learn how to use a sword and survive on her own because of all her years on the run from the Evil Queen. Regina snatched up Belle before she could get the chance.
And I think she does make her own choices. She offered herself up to Rumpel to save her father and her village, she told Rumpel off before she left his castle for being a coward, she told him off again in “The Crocodile” and even gave her father a piece of her mind, and she finally left Rumpel at the end of the same episode.

ParticipantHmm, I’m going to give a very generic, predictable answer to this thread. I think Rumpel and Regina are on equal playing field when it comes to their evil deeds. They’ve both caused death and destruction, they’ve both manipulated innocents, and they both destroyed the Enchanted Forest. Having said that, I highly doubt the writers are just going to end their story arc with “and then they died a horrible, horrible death.” They will find redemption, they will start to make changes for their loved ones, and I really do believe they’ll find their happy ending.
But in the end, I don’t think this debate will matter considering Cora is on her way to Storybrooke. Even though Rumpel taught her everything she knows, at least Rumpel has shown genuine love and concern towards Baelfire, Belle and Henry. I’m almost certain Cora is on her to Storybrooke so that she can kill Regina for pushing her through the looking glass. I highly doubt Rumpel or Regina would kill their own children for running away from them. That’s the difference between Rumpel, Regina and Cora. Rumpel and Regina actually have people in their lives that they actually love and are trying to become better people for. Cora, on the other hand, is on a revenge mission against her own flesh and blood.
So, my vote is going to towards Cora for the most evil character on Once Upon a Time.

Um, I’m really not going to come down on Belle for being chained up all the time, considering all the times Emma and Snow have either been kidnapped, poisoned, tricked by shifty reporters, constantly manipulated by Rumpel and Regina, or left in Elevator shafts. 😆
Good point. 😆 Emma and Snow have ahd their fair share of embarrassing moments of weakness too. In fact, that was my main complaint about their characters in season 1. For the heroes, the writers portrayed them in a remarkably weak light. 🙁
