Maybe it’s just because I didn’t grew up with Disney movies, but with the theme park (Efteling) versions of the stories (that are the original stories, with a better ending).
It’s not that I want every story to end up sad, I really do like happy endings, maybe it’s just that the Disney movies are almost the same stories, with other characters: Snow White was singing and the prince heard her and he came to her, the same at the beginning of the movie of Sleeping Beauty.
Maybe Malificent woke up when Emma put on her deputy-badge. Because then the ground started shaking and Malificent (as dragon) was down Storybrooke. I thought that the tunnel Emma walked trough was one of the mine tunnels. Because the glass coffin was there too and in Ep. 5 the coffin is down the mine.
Just a suggestion..

My current favorites at this moment are ‘I Am Hunter’ and ‘Trapped Inside A Heart’ by Miss Montreal, that’s a dutch band and they’re pretty good!!

Maybe that’s because Rumpelstiltskin created the curse.. that he’s not in the book.
I think the book has something to do with the whole curse, that the stories are the memories of the fairytale characters. (something like that..)In the pilot, when Emma crashed with her car. You see apes with wings in the storybook, that are the flying monkeys from The Wizard of Oz.
In the same episode or another.. i forgot, you see a picture of Alice in Wonderland.
