In the book each story has 3 to 5 pages, so I still have no idea.
The books (there are two) are lovely, they’re also versions in German and English.

It truly is “You got someone on your chin.” – Grumpy, btw …
I want to know who it is! Maybe just a guard, but you never know..
snowroseParticipantHonestly, I have no idea which version. I read it in the latest fairytalebook from The Efteling.

and I once wrote my own twist on Snow White for a college assignment.
Really? I would love to read that! I love the stories of Snow White with a twist (like Mirror Mirror).
And I read the story of Beauty and the Beast in one of my fairytalebooks and that was totally different from the Disney-version. That’s why I love that story more in the Disney-version, because that was the first version I ever saw and I love it (I love the musical too 😉 )
snowroseParticipantWhat I actually ment was that they could use a story we don’t know so wel and then change a little bit. But I don’t know which stories you all in the US know, I think the same as here. Accept the Indian Water Lillies, but maybe you know that story too.
I like the stories they put in, that they are different then the stories we know. That’s what I love about the show. It reminds me of an tv serie in The Netherlands: de sprookjesboom (The Fairytale Tree), where all the characters live together: the witch from Hansel and Gretel talks to the Giant from Little Thumb.
It’s in dutch, but I could put a link here if you like.
snowroseParticipantI watch the sneak peaks over and over again.. and everytime I think: first I have to go to bed, than when I wake up, I can see the new episode. Because it’s 05:18 PM here know, so that means that the new episode airs at 02:00 AM. But most of the time I wake up around 04:00 AM, that means that I have to wait 11 hours..
snowroseParticipantMaybe it is a good mix and now I know that ABC is actually from Disney.. It explains why they are referring to it.
But I love to see more real fairytales we don’t know so well.
snowroseParticipantI always thought that the only story where the prince kissed a princess awake was Sleeping Beauty.
I think I have to rent the fairytalebook of Andersen from the library, so I can read all his stories. Because the only books I have from fairytales are the books of the Efteling fairytales, they have the original story, but let the ‘horrible/creepy’ parts out of it. (Like the dancing shoes, the original story says that her feet, with shoes, cut off. But the Efteling story says that her shoes danced forever and she could walk normal).
snowroseParticipantFavourtite fairytale.. hmm.. that’s a difficult question. I like Red Riding Hood, Snow White, The Indian Waterlilies, The Little Match Girl and The Dancing Shoes. But actually, I like them all!
And favourite ride.. that will be Droomvlucht (Dream Flight). Although, the story of Joris and the Dragon is beautiful. (The scene where prince James slays reminds me of this story).
Oh and you’re from Germany! I read you’re comment and thought: Wow, from US? But no.. :p

But ABC is owned by Disney, and they did agree to do that
I didn’t know that, but that explains a lot.
About Andersen, they have to put the girl with the red shoes (don’t know what the name in English is) in the show. That would be fun!
And about true love, yeah.. you’re right. 😉
