Not disqualified eliminated. They had a top 8 session and many of the people whom asked for our help instead chose to vote against us just because they did not like CS nor did they want them representing OUAT. I know for a fact many SQ and ST shippers teamed up but it didn’t amount to anything clearly because CS was still nominated in the top 5.
I saw some of the Rumbellers I helped in voting polls before in on that too
What history? They were together for a couple months tops before she was knocked up and sent to jail. And then he avoided her for like a decade.

Oh yeah, I forgot, using a toddler is reaaaaally hard work. Honestly, I feel like at this point, she’s known Hook for as long as she was with Neal. So again, I’ll reiterate… what history. It’s not good history, that’s for certain. And Neal didn’t really put out a lot of effort to get back to them. And when was back, he avoided going to find her right away soo…
Also Hook is the one who knows who she is NOW. Neal knows who she was then, a decade ago! Think back to someone you dated that long ago? If they suddenly re-entered your life would they know you any better than someone you’ve had an immediate connection with and has spent months getting close to? This can’t just be me but just look what happened between Neal and Emma, she was 18, she was abandoned by her first love who got her pregnant and left her in prison for a year. Then the next time he shows up he’s moved on and engaged to another woman! Now since his ex fiancé ended up being evil he runs back to her? Why would Emma want him back? If you were in a situation where a dude got u pregnant, disappeared for ten years and only reappeared in your life when you happened to find him and then only pursued you when his engagement fell through would you want that guy back? I do not hate Neal, maybe he was trying to do the right thing way back then but the fact that Emma and Neal can be friends now while parenting Henry is a miracle in and of itself!

Yeah that didn’t happen, in fact the haters teamed up to try to get CS eliminated before the top 5 were announced. Which is kind of rude because when Rumbelle, Snowing or any other couple was nominated for anything they asked for assistance from every fandom including CS but when CS was nominated they were just bitter because it was them instead of their couple. That’s pretty two face to me, but yeah it didn’t work and CS had over 500,000 votes in the PCA polls, we lost but we came in 3rd. Which is pretty amazing, I mean think about it this couple has only been around for less than 20 episodes yet they actually put up a fight against the likes of Klaine(glee couple for 3 seasons) and Delena(couple for 5 seasons). It’s pretty dang telling of the support of CS and the commitment to fans.
I remember I was helping Rumbelle in a poll last year asking more Oncers to help support them too. Then when I went back to ask those same people who told me and others it’s about helping the show I got the cold shoulder! I did a lot to help in those polls last year that’s not happening again.
Actually I’m pretty sure we had more votes than that between twitter, and all the other ways to vote I forgot how many exactly but I remember we had more votes than both our other nominees combined.
What gets me is that this is supposed to be a “ship and let ship” community and yet… I and some other CSers feel like we can’t step outside our thread because of Killian bashing. I didn’t think there were a lot of haters on this site but from what I’m hearing….. yeah. Thank goodness I haven’t seen any of this stuff. I like that we don’t have to resort to hating Neal in order for our ship to sail on
I’m starting to feel like that too, I used to like going on the episode thread saying my favorite and least favorite moment, reading everybody’s reaction but after a while it was like here I am happy about an episode when all of a sudden there’s this anti Hook anti CS hissing going on and it was better just to be among shipmates 🙂
I mean I really don’t have anything against Neal, and other than the romantic SwanFire stuff his character is actually starting to grow on me. On the flip side though I hear a lot more Hook bashing than Neal bashing. I know there’s bad apples on every ship but you’d think with as much CS stuff as I see I’d end up seeing more Neal bashing just cause I’m looking at the opinions of a variety of CS shippers (I’d be bound to run in to more bad apples from my ship)! What I see more of is responses to attacks on Hook’s character, a lot of hidden Easter eggs from episodes, parallels, and general swooning (If anybody wants to fact check me on this feel free to but I’m pretty sure it checks out :P).
Dang I must taste the bitter juice in this thread from people whom don’t like Hook, oh well. Thankfully that’s just a minority opinion since Hook is very much a popular character not only to the social media networks(the most marketed character on the show with the most articles) the official FB and OUAT twitters give him the most spotlight and in 2013 the CS kiss article got the most likes based on the show with over 300,000 likes and comments. The only one to surpass it was the announcement that Ginny and Josh were having a baby which had over 600,000 comments but that did not happen on the show or with Snow and Charming so that’s null and void. Screentime charts on tumblr have shown this season so far that Hook has the most screen time. Followed by Emma, Regina, Snow, Charming, Rumple, Henry, Neal and Belle in last. What’s shocking to me is that in S2 despite Colin getting injured and being sidelined for a lot of episodes he still ended up with the most screen time after the big 5(Snow, Regina, Emma, Charming, Rumple). Then again though ABC media even said that they want more Hook on the show. There was a joke that the higher ups saw a scene and they were like “can Hook be in this” and Adam was like “it’s Henry on a swing”, and they were like “well Hook can meet Henry.” Adam laughed and considered it. It was a joke but you get what I’m saying. Couple screen time going from multiple charts shows Captain Swan had the most screen time so far(and with what happened at the end of the finale I don’t expect that to change) Snowing, Rumbelle, Swan Thief. I only found data on these 4. The media writes articles about Hook because they know that writing articles on him and Captain Swan means people(even haters) will click and comment on their articles which by default makes them more money. The traffic from these articles as they have seen goes a long way and the best part of all is you can see the track because they keep a tab on the homepage of the social media site to see which stories have the most clicks and when it comes to Hook and Emma they’re always on the top 5 easily. So I guess the point is be bitter all you want because the media knows what gives them the money, it knows what gives them the views. Ultimately in the end it’s a business and that’s the fact. Hook brings them the money, he and CS bring in the money. As far as ratings I think it’s performing very well and in an age where people no longer have to go by the TV schedule and watch it at the time it airs can watch it through multiple methods the next day.

CS was also nominated for a People’s Choice Award but that’s probably because all the Oncers from all the different ships decided to help with the voting despite them not being Captain Swan shippers themselves… oh wait that’s right that didn’t happen lol
I also called the ending to this midseason finale and yeah I happen to be the guy who started the Captain Swan thread. It was easy for CSrs to see that’s just where things we’re going aside from the spoilers the direction these two we’re taking was always toward each other. I also stepped into the ratings thread just hoping to catch up on some ratings news only to find Hook being slammed like it we were watching our ten greatest Flook moments. I go on rougher boards so I mean as much as some part of me would REALLY like to go there sometimes I try to control myself. Believe me there are times when I feel I’m gonna lose it reading the ratings thread was one of those times. Sometimes I’ll type out a very not so eloquent response to a Hook bashing post then erase just out of respect for the kind of community that they’ve tried to create here. If I see things in the chat I’ll walk away most of the time but it’s easy to lose control. I’m not sure what was said last night but I’m pretty sure from the sound of it it would have been hard not to jump in too.
