ParticipantLet’s move this conversation back to ratings because no one will ever agree on what is popular or essential. It’s a huge problem in the fandom as a whole. Remember the internet culture fandom is an incredibly small portion of of the total viewingship. Like what you like and don’t like what you don’t like. It’s all fine. The Live+7 day for Going Home just came in. Initial Rating: 1.9 Live+7: 3.1 Increase: 63% http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2013/12/30/live7-dvr-ratings-the-big-bang-theory-tops-adults-18-49-viewership-gains-grimm-leads-percentage-increase-in-week-12/225568/
Thank you, I wanted to catch up on ratings news and I thought for minute I clicked on the “Hook’s a jerk” thread instead.
I’m really wondering how this mini season thing is gonna end up panning out for us it didn’t seem that we lost all that many viewers as the season went on and for the most part we stayed pretty solid. I enjoyed the Neverland arc, Peter Pan has been my favorite villain of the series focusing on just a small part of the cast I think was a good move. Robert Carlyle isn’t gonna be in a few episodes to start 3B is he? Hopefully that doesn’t hurt us in the ratings too.

ParticipantWe wouldn’t lose anything we’d just be with the rest of the ships btw I’m gonna try and make that first post I created the thread with better since we end up having to look at it so much.

ParticipantHey everybody I know all the other shipping threads are in the Character discussion board I just found out I can move us over there too if you all think it’s a good idea?

ParticipantI agree. Even some SwanFire scenes we’ve gotten in Neverland, there’s still some CS undertones. Like in Ariel. I think thats a prime example. We have a SwanFire reunion in the Echo Caves, but just before that happens, Hook admits that he’s moved on from his first love Milah and he loves Emma. He’s showing Emma that it is possible to move on from your first love and that speech, helped her realize what’s been holding her back and why she didn’t want to believe that Neal was alive. Even after they get out from the caves, the whole, ‘I’m not going to stop fighting for you’ <– still a very douchebag thing to say to Emma, IMO) it was over shadowed by Hook easedropping on that part of the conversation and him, thinking that Emma told Neal about his big dark secret (confirmed the following episode). In Storybrooke, after Emma runs out on her lunch date with Neal, she goes to the docks. Hook’s ship is at the docks. She’s already thinking about and missing him and she’s the one who brings him up to David. [/quote] The whole SwanFire thing in Ariel was set up by a big moment for Captain Swan, it started with Killian being strong enough and honest enough to make sure they saved Nealfire in the first place. The first thing he did was immediately tell her parents that he might be alive. Parents who to that point would still probably be more in favor of Neal and Emma reuniting than Hook having a chance with her. Then it goes to what u said in the caves, Hook having to confess his feelings for Emma in order to save Nealfire. Finally both times SwanFire have a moment together very deliberately we're shown Hook's reactions. Totally agree about that last part, but I'll add a couple more things she brought up Hook there specifically because she can see herself being with him. No doubt having Nealfire back around her was conflicting and slowed down how she might have otherwise proceeded with Hook but I don't think Hook being around slowed the progression of Emma coming closer to reuniting with Bae. In other words removing Nealfire from the picture definitely speeds things up for Emma and Hook being together, while Hook not being around I think would still leave Emma in pretty much the same place she is now because what stops Emma from going back to Neal more than anything else is herself her own hurt feelings from what happened between them more so than even the "devilishly handsome pirate." The other thing I think Emma was doing there was feeling David out on how he feels about her choosing Hook and I think his reaction was one that basically said "Hook's not such a bad guy" definitely far from the "she's never gonna like you" that he told Hook before.

ParticipantGoing into season 4? I think the witch might die in this half like they got Peter Pan but Robin Hood for sure has to stick around he’s Regina’s true love. Tinkerbelle, but I don’t think it’s all about CaptainFairy surprise surprise lol, maybe there’s a chance MAP sticks around not sure on that though.
