Whoo hoo! Such a great episode I’m glad we did so well! the football game just wasn’t gonna do well but next week might be a little tougher NBA is back but it didn’t bother us this week, next week gonna be a high profile game the NFL is gonna have a tough one too. These last two episodes have been so good hopefully we don’t slip too much if we do.

I think Peter Pan set it up perfectly to play Hook and Neal against each other he’s setting them all up now the way he wants. Regina’s next on his list she’s not afraid of him yet.

Me too. My inner child got so excited at the point that is my new signature for the forum! Dingelhoppered!! OK favourite moments:
- the real Ursula is totes not OK with Regina impersonating her. Hmmm…..
- all of the Disney dialogue mixed in. “My dear sweet child…” I totally then ignored whatever RegiSula was saying and sang along “that’s what I do – it’s what I live for!” Also mad props for “he could be part of your world” and “oh yes… your voice“
- the dingelhopper test at the ball. “This is?” “…. a small trident!” No. It’s a dingelhopper. Clearly.
- Finally confirming that NL!Belle is really Pan’s shadow, and not a projection of Rumple’s subconscious
- Regina cracking it at the latest diversion and stalking off. Also Regina teaching Emma magic and almost revelling in her role as The Evil Queen again… she knows what she is, and is coming to terms with it.
- “eggs in a basket” – yum! Maybe it’s just because I’m watching this over a late breakfast, but excellent timing by Pan to make me peckish for eggs.
- confirmation that mermaids can travel between worlds. Is this their ticket home?
- Hook doing the right thing – both times. First, telling Snowing straight off that Neal is alive. Second, going first in the cave of secrets despite clearly not being all that keen to admit he was in love with Emma in front of her parents.
- Emma’s slightly freaked out chat to her Mum about snogging Hook. And Snow’s reaction to it. Hilarious!
- Neal’s rescue and the whole secret sharing business. Moves the narrative ahead in leaps and bounds in a really good scene
Not so keen on… not much really. Loved it all. Eric was a bit insipid but you can’t have everything…

So, er, yeah, onto Neal. Neal, Neal, Neal. Ugh, do you remember that whole plot device thing we were talking about? That Echo cave scene could not have made it more clear. Here we have the main characters, spilling out their secrets, horrible, painful secrets that reveal their soul, and then we have Neal, in a cage, revealing nothing. Yet again no development for Neal as a character. DELIBERATE. And then we have this BS about Neal saying that he would: “Never stop fighting for her. Never”. Eh for one thing you already did buddy. But what bothers me about this is that.. ugh was that supposed to be romantic? I mean she had just told him that she wished he was dead so she could move on and that’s what he said to her? Really? It just seems to me like putting his own needs first again, and I can’t help but think that if it were Killian in Neal’s place he would put Emma’s first. Because it seems to me to be YET ANOTHER FORM of Neal taking away Emma’s choice in the matter. Very pushy, and I don’t like it. If Emma had said something about them maybe possibly getting back together someday… I would have accepted it. But I don’t like it. So yeah, those are my thoughts. FANTASTIC EPISODE AND KLAJDFKLJASDLFKJASLDKJFALJ
Not to mention he basically ripped off Step-Mother Belle’s line!

We did say this in the chat tonight but this is only the beginning. I’m a pretty firm believer that CSF goes on HOLD now (you know…TO SAVE THE KID) but once they get back to SB. Hold on, Oncers. Whatever you ship….it ain’t over yet.
I like it, I see both sides as completely viable choices. Hook clearly cares for Emma or else the secret thing wouldn’t have worked. I don’t see either side backing down, Hook went hundreds of years not letting go of Milah he won’t let go of Emma very easily either. It’s gonna be a fun story
Another thing I want to add this episode did nothing to dispute that whole theory of Nealfire being a giant plot device. Saving him became the device to reveal Snow wanting a baby, David lying about his injury and Hook having true feelings for Emma.
