can I just point out that August did not “ruin” Emma’s life. Her life was spiraling down the toilet and being sent to jail changed her and ultimately led her to Storybrook. August was just doing his job in ensuring she doesn’t stray away from her path, and if she had continued to steal for a living with someone who only encouraged this poor life choice, Emma could possibly have never gone to Storybrook.
It doesn’t matter if August took the money to self-indulge in Phuket, he admitted it himself that he was weak with temptations, bad August. But you can’t hate him for making sure she didn’t run off with some thief.
Some people are too butthurt over the fact that he took the money and spent it all, even though he told Neal himself that Emma won’t have a need for any of the money.Everyone needs to look at the bigger picture here. Which is, Emma breaking the curse! If she had stayed with that riffraff Neal (a little bias here), OUAT would not have happened.
That first part I get but she was in that situation in the first place because she was left alone. Now after if he would have just come back and followed through on his “I’m here now” then ok I see what he’s doing. August though doesn’t follow through he sees a more self serving option and bails on Emma again. She may not have needed money but having August around would have been better than having nobody for the subsequent 10 years. In the end it didn’t matter that he screwed Emma over again (money aside) by leaving her alone for a 2nd time instead of being the big brother he was ment to be to her as she still found her way to Storybrooke and broke the curse. All his actions do in the end is make August look to put it mildly less than honorable he was entrusted with Emma’s care and he didn’t act in her best interests the way he was entrusted to do. What it does is make it look like the only thing that made him own up to his responsibilities was his own self interest otherwise he would never have come to Storybrooke

The pain could have been because he lied to protect Emma. And I don’t give a crap what the writers said on the podcast, they could say stuff to throw everybody off. That’s what they do.
Protecting Emma was his mission he said himself that he strayed from his mission egardless of what the writers say on the podcast August in show said that he was reaping the consequences of not doing what he was suppose to be doing. Lying to protect Emma or doing something for Emma is still in line with keeping his promise, for him to have been turned back into wood means that he wasn’t acting selflessly or in Emma’s best interest or in the interests of anyone but himself.

Ok, so I think that Gold didn’t really know what he was doing when he brought Henry to SB – or at least not EXACTLY what he was doing. I think that somehow Rumplestiltskin must have left himself, Mr Gold, some sort of anchor that would guide him to Henry but he, Mr Gold, didn’t know the details of it, he knew he had to do this but didn’t know why. I think that smirk when Regina asked him was just about that – he smiled at the fact that he actually outsmarted the curse again and he did it, even though he wasn’t himself.
That’s a good theory, leaving himself a set of instructions to follow to make sure things would play out the way he intended. He can see the future so he could have known that Emma would have Henry and that he could use Henry to lure Emma to Storybrooke. It’s really gonna be interesting to find out exactly how Henry got to Storybrooke.

If he was truly her “guardian angel”, “big brother”, when he already found her, why not wait till she got out of jail and took care of her? I take that he couldn’t full fill his promise taking care of her when he was 7, but at that time, he was freakin 26-28. Why didn’t he full fill his destiny as her guidance? His father bargained to get him to this world just for him to do the thing that Snow+Charming didn’t have the change to do: take care of the savior. He didn’t seem to care about breaking the curse as he claimed to be. He stole the money and ran to Phuket. Not until years later, when Emma finally arrived to SB, his legs went wack, and he started to come to SB to did the lame *** job. and it wasn’t succeed. She believed in the curse because of Henry 😡
Why, probably because he had other missions. We know he knows about the Blue Fairy, and we know she knows alot. For all we know, she got into contact with him early on, and told him what to do. Keep tabs on Emma, but then, also go around the world and look for other possible FTL people. Odd, he went to Phucket, and Phucket Island is notorious for also being known as the Lost Island. A.K.A. Lost Boys-Peter Pan???? In essence, he was one lost boy when he came to our world. You people are so quick to judge without knowing the full story yet. We don’t even know if in fact he did indeed steal the money. Only a stupid person would send 20 grand in a package to an inmate. August is anything but stupid.
No he’s not stupid he’s a smart person who like he said is not very good at saying “No” as evident by what he did he ditched her and went to Phuket on Neal and Emma’s dime. Whatever he did we know that it wasn’t very noble if he was on a mission doing something he should have been doing then he wouldn’t have received a painful reminder of just how far he’d strayed. I mean he admitted to neglecting his promise then coming back when it was a threat to him.

By taking the money from Emma he made sure that she grew up with means of obtaining her own money and not
Just have it given to her. If August gave her the money then she would know that Neal still cared for her and she would want to find him. It’s good to see people on here do have a brain. Not to mention, the last thing you do for your prison pals, especially ones locked up for stealing, is send them money through the mail. They would have been even more suspicious of her, having 20 grand sent to her in the mail. And, we still don’t know if August did indeed steal the money, or maybe he just hid it for her, in case of a rainy day.
According to the official podcast August just used the money to fund his little getaway to Phuket so no he wasn’t doing anything noble by taking away the money. It wasn’t to help her that he kept the money from her it was for his own selfish reasons.

Check out this video at the end of it you see exactly when Rumpelstiltskin got his memories back. As far as how he procured Henry that’s the big mystery. Pinocchio may have had a hand in it some how Henry got from a prison in Phoenix to the town of Storybrooke without Mr. Gold being able to leave the town. The thing to remember is also that Mr. Gold didn’t recognize Pinocchio so maybe it wasn’t a direct exchange between them? The only other thing we haven’t seen much of is if the Blue Fairy had her memories the whole time maybe she was colluding with Pinocchio or had some kind of contact with him. She mentioned final preparations at one point so those preparations could have ment finding out some way to keep her memories and maybe create the book.

– Aurora and Cora are talking only about Emma and Snow (“they just met me”, “your new found companions”) – where is MULAN???
Yes i thought this too. And is it just me or did Mulan look like she knew something that the others didn’t when Snow told her it was the sleepng curse. I have a feeling there is more to Mulan than we think.
“You gonna kill me now? Go ahead. Try”
Hook seems overly confident considering that Cora can easily kill him or rip his heart out. Maybe living in Nerverland for so long has made him immortal…? I think it pretty obvious that Hook doesn’t really like Cora, especially compared to the way he behaved with Emma and Snow. But I wonder why he didn’t try to defend himself and deny that he chose Emma, because the last thing he needs is to get on her bad side.See and that’s why I made a “There’s Something off with Mulan” thread not sure what but sometimes some things with her make me suspicious. As far as with Hook I think he has to have some way to equalize the field against magical enemies like Cora & Rumple that we haven’t seen yet. I love Hook as an anti hero I really want to see him do something important to get Emma & Snow home.
