I think seeing Hook come back for her is gonna open her up even more. She knows he tried TLK, she knows he traveled through worlds to find her. It’s all gonna mean so much to her.

Lately there’s been a better effort by most here to be accepting of everyone’s likes and dislikes. I often test the waters and basically see how happy I can act about things first lol. Most of the people on here are pretty understanding and even go into a little bit of ship talk with you. RG is a great mod but she’s also great just to talk about the show with. MP too, he’s cool to talk to as a non-shipper since I think we make a lot of great observations but we mix them in with some wishful thinking but when a non-shipper sees the same thing it’s “ok we’re not crazy” lol.

because you already one buddy! lol ok that’s just my take on it but idk I think Emma’s moved to a good place in her relationship with Neal and I think from all the things we’ve seen and heard she might be ready to move on with Hook.

Emma’s telling Hook that she know’s that he tried tlk

“I know what you did back there.”

Hook shrugged and forced a smile, regarding her carefully, keeping his distance. He’d done so out of respect since New York, sensing her confusion and obeying her unspoken wishes for space – not that she’d had the time for any of that.

Everything had just happened so damned fast.

One minute she was living a life with her son, the next… all of this had happened.

Emma could still feel the warmth of his arms wrapped around her tight and how it felt to be pressed up against him on that busy city street, the flood of memories returning in an overwhelming pulse, like blood pumping through her veins. Relief, confusion, joy, pain – it had been so much to take in, too much, sorting through the memories, separating them into neat little folders titled “real” and “fake”, knowing it but not quite feeling it, not yet, and it was just too much.

His hug had felt good, it felt real, but her memories of him were a mixed up blur. Her time with Henry this past year, their whole life felt just as real as the old ones that had come rushing back with the swallowing of that potion and the knowledge, the feelings that came with it, her parents in danger, a war she’d been missing…

She just needed a damn moment to herself to process it all and now, here she was, a month and a half later and finally, finally, she had her moment.

“We were in battle, Swan. Anyone would have done the same for one they care for… even moreso for the Savior.”

She could practically see the tension he held in his shoulders and feel the longing in his eyes as he struggled to make himself known while at the same time doing as much as he could to ease that pressure, the tension in her own shoulders from carrying the weight of two lives, of literally inheriting a world of responsibility overnight. She could see how desperately he wanted to ease it and a part of her wanted to let him, but how could she even let him when she didn’t know which part of her that was?

“I didn’t-” Emma paused, closing her eyes to gather her thoughts. You can do this. She opened them and met the unwavering blue of his, questions flickering in the depths, never asking, always waiting – always waiting for her. “I didn’t mean that, but, thanks.” She cracked a smile and he returned it with ease, relief relaxing his features. “I guess that was a pretty stupid move.”

“Not stupid.” She shot him a pointed look and his words dissolved into a nervous chuckle. “Perhaps a tad ill-advised… but you were bloody brilliant, love. Perfect.” He shook his head, rubbing at the back of his neck, and she smiled at how familiar the gesture felt – god, it felt good to recognize things again. “Besides, it worked.”

“Yeah, well, someone needed to send that bitch back to Oz,” Emma smirked, and the amusement on his face made it quirk into a full smile. It felt more genuine than anything she’d done in the past month. “But… that’s not what I meant.”

    “What did you mean, love?”

“Back in New York. When you first-” she pressed her fingertips into her forehead, smoothing out the creases, eyes fluttering closed then open once again. “You kissed me.”

Hook nodded stiffly, swallowing hard. “I had hoped, perhaps if I- I had hoped that you would remember. Clearly, that wasn’t the case.”

“But it wasn’t just that was it?”

    “What?”

“You weren’t trying to make me remember with just any kiss, Hook.”

She ran a hand through her hair, over the top of her head. This was crazy. A dormant, distant part of her still insisting that this was insane, that all of this was some crazy dream brought on by too much double mocha fudge icecream and a crazy movie night with Henry – but it wasn’t, she knew that it wasn’t. This was real.

    “Emma-”

“My parents are Snow White and Prince freaking Charming. My kid has a book of fairytales. I know what True Love’s Kiss is, Hook.”

His jaw tightened and the pain in his eyes shone bright. “Emma, love, I-“

“No. I’m not asking for an apology,” she cut him off, meeting his eyes, for once begging him to read her, begging him to just know what she didn’t even know herself. “I just thought we needed to talk.”

The barest sliver of a smile began to pull at the corner of his mouth but he kept it at bay, unable to keep it from reaching his eyes that sparkled with hope. “And still… even after a year without it, that phrase never ceases to put me ill at ease.”

“Shutup.” She laughed softly, staring at the ground for a moment and shaking her head. “It doesn’t have to be a bad talk.”

    “No?”

“No.” She smiled again. Baby steps, Emma. “You know, David told me something interesting. A story.” She watched him, gauging his reaction before continuing, taking a long, deep breath. “He said that once my mother drank a potion that made her lose her memories. She didn’t remember him or that they loved each other. He tried kissing her to break the curse and it didn’t work.”

“Aye,” Hook nodded, embarrassment creeping across his features. “He’s told me.”

    “And you still tried it?”

He pursed his lips, his expression full of earnestness, sincerity, he’d always only ever looked at her like that. “I had to be sure. Though, shortly after, I questioned it myself,” he teased, chuckling, and Emma grimaced.

“Yeah… sorry about that. Anyway, long story short, it didn’t work on her because of the memory loss.” She took another deep breath, beginning to speak quickly, her heart pounding in her chest. “The point is… it didn’t work on me either and it might not work now and it might not work in a month or a year, but-but I remember. It was hazy but it’s getting clearer and I remember us and- and I guess what I’m saying is-”

    “Yes?”

    “Don’t stop trying?”

He grinned and all of a sudden her heart wasn’t pounding so fast.
