Hmm- I havent heard the whole EDR/RC humors- I did hear about the EDR leaving rumors & they are just that- baseless rumors started by stupid fan/s who have nothing better to do than troll & screw with people. Adam went on record as saying that EDR has Not asked to leave or anything of that nature.
I think personally, rather than jumping the gun & reading into the gossip mill, we ignore it- marriages can be unnecessarily strained by rumor alone these days & I think it is seriously low for fans (because it’s almost ALWAYS the fans making this sort of crap up) to project their love of a fantasy couple, on the actual actors themselves- it’s sick when one or both are married :/
The cast is very close (that much is obvious) & I think male & female, they are all good friends, so it doesnt take much for an outside source, not involved with what is actually going on or the context of situation, to start rumors, based off of unnecessary, unfounded accusations.
For me personally- I wont be buying into any of it, unless any of it is announced officially- I wont give whomever started the rumor mill churning the satisfaction.

That person has SUCH a good point; I’ve thought about how sad and horrible Emma’s life was, and about whether the villains were justified in what they did based on what happened to them, but I never really put it together this perfectly. Emma has been through just as much–if not more–than the villains on this show, but she’s still an incredible person who, aside from some minor stealing for survival, has never descended into any kind of “villainy”. This is one of the reasons why I love this character so much! I saw that as well & I agree- Emma is proof a crappy life doesnt sentence you to being a bad person, it is possible to raise above your circumstances.
Oh finally a Belle I like. And it happened to be creepy dark evil Belle. I really loved Belle confrontation with herself (very Jekyll & Hyde!) It just goes to show that Belle does have some deep reservations about herself and Rumple and that she isn’t so naive, but always chooses to see the best in her husband. I did love her guilt trip to Rumple – I won’t keep secrets from you because I know you won’t keep secrets from me. Ha! I do wonder whether that was her passive aggressive way of saying, ‘I know the dagger is fake, you better tell me or there will be a-trouble brewing sonny boy’

Regina is back to snarky and not nasty – I honestly think last week’s episode was a chance for her to vent because she realised that she can’t save Marion, hence all the ‘you’re ruining my life’ rubbish she was spouting at Emma. Now she has vented she’s back to snarky better dressed Regina (it’s all in the clothes). Heehee Captain Guyliner.

So I wasn’t the only one who thought “ooh backstory!” when Hook said he was a kiddie once too. Also I thought it was a bit rough of Emma to say ‘how would you know?” about scars from childhood usually running the deepest. Just because everything currently is about you, Emma, doesn’t mean other people (ie your boyfriend) don’t have issues in their past that perhaps you might like to hear about one day. I note Emma never says she’d like to get to know him better (but perhaps it’s just a matter of time) And we get the 200 year-old thing. Has she forgotten that Neal was only about 10 years younger than Hook? She didn’t care so much about the age gap then. Anway that’s my small gripe for the day.
Hehe, I dont think she’s serious about the age thing, it’s more her way of trying to stop tipping right over the edge of falling entirely head over heels in love with him- her leaning on the door like it was the only thing keeping her up, with that “Oh crap, I love him… like LOVE, love him…. oh crap” moment she had, was very close on the heels of her deciding to let love back in/ go on a date with Killy (like 2dys after wasnt it)- it’s been what 4- 5days total since she & Killian went back in time? (The time line is so condensed these days it’s hard to sort it all out in SB), that I can understand her hesitancy still, as its not really a lot of time to really get to grips with totally loving someone & allowing yourself to embrace all of them & you as a couple, when you’ve been so thoroughly closed off for so long. She has had some impressive growth & like she says, she trusts Killian- I think it’s more her she doesnt trust yet & I think thats her remaining issue there- will she be able to recover if it doesnt work out etc.
Althoough it could simply be the way the writers have decided to go to remind the audience & inform the new audience that Killian is still “Captain Hook” & as such hasa rich backstory with Rumple (I’m fully expecting that Milah comes up because of this fact- other wise the Rumple & Killian animosity just wont make sense to new viewers).
I think the Emma wanting to know more about Killian is coming- I think Killian is just as reluctant as Emma has been to talk about his childhood/ younger years… although it could have come up on the date I guess…. maybe that is what kicks off Killy’s backstory?
The Anna not being able to climb the mountain to the Trolls I thought was weird. Why was she able to do it in a wedding dress (4×01) but not in her mountain hiking gear? Did they come at it from a different direction? I don’t know, that was strange to me. Oaken was cute. Oh and I did like Belle’s spiky coat. Did anyone else think it looked like she had raided Wilma Flintstone’s wardrobe?
Haha, you noticed that about Anna as well did you- I’m just going with they came at it from a different direction- I also noted that Elsa & Anna popped up to the Rock trolls like they were a short hike away, yet this time it was more like it was at least a day trip if not longer lol.

I am thinking of going on a bit of a spoiler blackout though. I’m enjoying the little surprises I’m getting with each episode, but I think I’ll enjoy them more without spoilers.
I wish you luck with that- if I was a stronger person I’d give it another go, but I’m not lol…. although as far as spoiler go, I havent really seen much of anything about anything …. it is kind of weird, normally we know all about whats coming next but I’ve only got a few little tidbits & I have no idea when they’ll come up or how they will play out o.O Having said that I’m not actively searching out spoilers either- I just see what ever I happen to come across, which isnt a lot… & that is with being a member of a ONCE spoiler group! (Thanks to all the indoor filming I guess).
I am disappointed that Killian hasn’t said anything to Emma yet about the Rumple blackmail situation.
I was as well- then remembered it’s been like a day or 2 since the date & a LOT has gone down… I’m going to rewatch from 404 & pay particular attention to everything that goes on with Killian after Rumple manipulates him into doing his bidding “forever”, as I’m a little confuse at the disconnect between his behavior with the curse & his behavior now :/
Belle is one of my favorite Disney princesses and I have not really liked the OUAT version of the character. I also thought the way her mom died was pretty stupid. Saving books? I was hoping there was more to the story but I guess not.

What I REALLY like is all the mystery surrounding her. How did she get to our world w/o the curse? What happened to the middle sister? What did she do to Anna? etc. I am not fully buying into her reason for being a villain though. I understand that she is supposed to be crazy but the whole I am going to destroy an entire town of people so I can have a family that loves me for who I am thing seems off to me. I had this problem with Zelena though too. I am hoping there is more behind that prophecy.

I am spoiled now.. not enough Captain Swan I can’t really come up with any theories on why Colin hasn’t been seen filming other than the Snow Queen did something to him and he is out of commission until she is defeated. I would be shocked if he died both for plot reasons as well as network reasons. I really doubt it. I am hoping the Rumple blackmail discussion comes up soon.
I hear you- I cant think of anything else either- unless all Colin’s work has been indoors- I mean I know he’s been filming, but we havent really seen anything about what he’s up to…… it’s driving nananas!
Killian wont die- it just isnt going to happen, it makes zero sense from a plot or financial point. Like I say, he is filming, just cant see it & we have more of his back story in 4b & Emma fighting for him too…. I also want the whole (I cant call it blackmail sorry), manipulation thing comes up soon too. I’ll die if A&E leave us with that over our heads during the hiatus…. or even worse it doesnt get resolved this season :0
(And while we’re on the subject—how the heck is Robin supposed to fall in love with Marian again when she’s completely frozen? It makes no sense.)
With all the memory erasing going around SB, I have no doubt that someone will use that spell on Robin, he’ll use TLK on Marian and they will live HEA. Or not. *sigh* I have no idea what to think of this disaster of a love triangle. I would be easier if Marian woke up and realized SHE didn’t love Robin anymore.

I wish I could say the same, but I don’t think I’m ever going to enjoy Regina’s character at all unless they quit with the whitewashing and return her to Evil Queen status (so, probably never, lol).

Me either- there is so much stuff to look forward to this arc & it’s only half a season long…. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again- I seriously wish we had a whole 22/23eps of this Frozen arc this year- mashing up classic Snow/Ice Queen tale with Frozen & Once has been a blast & I dont want Emma’s arc to take a back seat to Regina’s again so soon.
As to the actual CS stuff—like @callmeLola said, there wasn’t much of it this week, but we really can’t complain too much since we’ve been a bit spoiled lately.

I was a little disappointed that we didn’t even get a glimpse of whatever Hook and Rumple are up to for the second episode in a row, but I guess there isn’t time for everything.
I was more surprised than disappointed…. I will admit that the fact they haven’t even broached it, let alone addressed it, is niggling at me a bit now. I mean look at how good things where for OQ, then WHAM! BAM! Thank you Mam- crud hit the fan & the angst has been in over drive for them since + It’s A&E, I’m do have a niggle that they will send us up the river of angsty rapids… without a paddle… in a leaky boat lol
The line about there being lots of other blondes though…what even was that? I guess it makes sense if it’s a reference to trying to find Emma in NYC, not so much if (as the haters say) it’s a reference to ogling other women. I mean we all know how devoted he is to Emma; he wasn’t interested in anyone else even when her services were bought and paid for AND he thought he’d never see Emma again. (Actually something just occurred to me…the haters really need to make up their minds: is Hook creepily, stalkerishly obsessed with Emma or does he just want to use her as a trophy/notch on his bedpost then dump her? Haha.)
It was totally in reference to NY & maybe even a poke at how half of the main ladies are blonde atm lol 😉

Hallelujah! Finally a chance at some great acting from Emilie. I found the whole dialogue between Belle and her mirror image creepy and I was so happy that she lashed out at Rumple (FINALLY!) in the cave, only to have her apologize to him in the next instant (HUH?).
Agreed & it was good to see EDR really be able to actually act like more than an arm warmer this time 🙂
I love the Snow Queen. For all the craziness Rebecca Mader brought to the Zelena role, Elizabeth Mitchell just tops it with that quiet menace of hers. It was great to see her and Rumple to at it. She’s not at all cowed by him, which is refreshing.

I miss Captain Swan. We’ve been so spoiled with all the CS goodness in the previous episodes that I hate just getting small glimpses of cuteness. The shiv’s going to hit the proverbial fan soon so I hope we get to see some intimate moments in before that. I have to rewatch the episode, but didn’t Hook have a line about smashing a mirror? Uh Oh

So from what we saw…yes, Belle and Colette stayed behind to save some books. I don’t think Colette wanted Belle to stay with her (when the guards asked, she said “I will find her, now go!”) but she couldn’t stop her and apparently the guards couldn’t find her to drag her out. So they grab a few last books, then of course they waste a few precious seconds chatting about why Belle loves books, and then decide to hide under a table until the Ogres pass through.
See all I got from that was- why didnt see call Belle & send her off with the guards if all the effort involved in “finding her” was calling her out of the next room?!? lol But I see your point + plot I guess 😉
Now we knew from before that Ogres “are blind. They hunt by sound alone”. Okay, so they were being quiet under the table…but then why did Colette say “Shh, it’s going to be alright” before they were gone? And the idea of Colette sacrificing herself for Belle reminds me of season two when Snow drew the Ogre away from Emma. I could see Colette getting up, running a few yards away, and shouting so the guards have time to get Belle out. But just because it’s plausible doesn’t mean it’s true (if so, then why wouldn’t he just tell her right off the bat?).
My question exactly- which is why I wonder when exactly his involvement with Rumple started- given he knows exactly who Rumple is…
As for the books, well, unless they had some Braille books in the library I think the blindness rules out their actually wanting them. ;-P I think the Ogres just destroy everything in their path so they’d probably rip up the books or at the very least destroy the castle so they’d be exposed to the elements.
See I understand saving knowledge (I’d probably try do the same thing, but you bet your last dollar I’m gonna ensure my fur babies are safe BEFORE the inanimate objects cross my mind)… when your child is involved- dead is dead is dead- you wouldnt (I imagine) continue to pick out books to ‘save’, rather than grabbing your off spring & high tailing it outta there in the same breath to ensure her safety 1st & foremost. But plot, I know- it just seemed very rushed & stretched to make her a hero is all- at least in my mind anyway lol.
I definitely thought it was both sweet and heartbreaking for Snow to see a young Emma. Although I didn’t appreciate Regina butting in while Snow was trying to see some of Emma’s childhood—you know, a few minutes of those 28 years as a family that Regina STOLE from them. (Residual anger from last week? Check.)

Yeah…it really reminded me of Hook in “The Jolly Roger” last year—hiding information from someone searching for her loved one because she was ashamed. Which is weird, because Hook and Belle don’t usually remind me of each other, lol. But it does also explain why Belle hasn’t been as helpful this season as she was before (like just standing there while David and Hook were trying to get Emma out of the ice cave)—she didn’t want to get involved there at all.

Yeah, I just dont entirely understand exactly what it does yet- I dont see telling the truth as something evil (which is why I dont see Ava/Eva…. Snow’s mother as evil for exposing Cora’s lies to Leo- although she wasnt very nice about how she went about it granted, it wasnt evil IMO), or is it a bit like echo caves- where only it only tells you your darkest truths or something…. I just dont understand yet …. which I’m kind of enjoying for a change- nothing like healthy speculation about evil, magical mirrors lol 😉

But then the cutting thing made no sense—two weeks ago we saw Hook stab Rumple with the eponymous appendage and he wasn’t affected at all. Shouldn’t the same hold true for the fake dagger since it shouldn’t have any magic?
Another good point- didnt think about that… like at all, maybe he just didnt heal himself or something this time- he was kind of focused on Belle (I will at least give him points for caring enough about Belle to ‘risk’ her finding out about the dagger & he did seem concerned for her).
But then he lost those points by lying… again- I just need to Mushu gif the hell out of Rumple atm- I mean seriously!…

And Rumple’s behavior, while not surprising, was disappointing…instead of coming clean he just keeps digging himself deeper! And now we have a whole NEW lie in that he had to pretend not to know anything about the hat. It’s very interesting to know that Belle would recognize the box though if she saw it!

Her beastly cruel, truth telling mirror bests Sydney’s by a good margin, it will be a shame when it shatters! I love the understated current of very adult psychological horror that A&E manage to intertwine with family hour storytelling.

Drama…dum dum dum Dummmmbelle! It is painful for me to watch the stupidity deepen in the portrayal of my favorite Disney Heroine. I just… No, I will leave it at that. She is what they have made her and I will never like the stuffed-nosed, clogged-throat vocal delivery of any line spoken by de Ravin. She is Rumple’s cross to bear and he, in an odd literary “just desserts” Dark One punishment, deserves her insipidness.
I disassociated the Belle & “Beast/Adam” whom I loved from my childhood, from Once’s interpretations of the same characters & story. I simply dont like the way EDR portrays Belle, or the way Rumple portrays Beast, so I just havent been happy with that entire storyline at all until I decided to simply see it as a different Belle & not see Rumple as “Adam/beast” at all- it’s the only way I can get in vested at all in their story.
I do wonder if Belle has low self esteem issues after this episode- It would explain a lot of her behavior & actions- at least in my mind anyway lol.
I dont have an issue with Belle being “weak” atm… I think just having “strong” women all the time does get a bit tedious- I actually prefer interesting & real women- be they strong or weak (Ugh- totally cant recall how exactly I worded my point here- I doing a smashing job of butchering it & sounding like I’m an clueless idiot though lol… so I’m going to let this gif do the talking for me ** edited for naughty word)…

ATM. I find Belle interesting & it’s all thanks to this episode (it’s nice to see Belle as more than arm wear for Rumple!), because of her flaws, what is she thinking & why?- why is she blindly trusting Rumple- it seems like she has reservations that she’s pretending dont exist etc. Will these come to the fore? How is she going to react when the truth about what Rumple has been doing comes to light?
Robin Hood? Why does Regina love this dude again? Regina, until her focused arc in season 2 is still annoyingly bi-polar, though much less so than last week. Might be best for me to take a healthy swig of memory loss potion for her weird character spasms of the previous episode.

(I’m going to butcher this explanation as well- but here goes…) I guess I’ve taken a step back from Regina’s story. Do I forgive her what she did to Emma last episode/yesterday- Nope! I havent forgotten that at all & I dont approve of whitewashing all Regina’s crappy choices & horrendous crimes/ actions just to drive a friendship arc between Emma & Regina forward either… However, I do enjoy Regina’s snarky & sassy one liners- those I can & do appreciate 😉 She’s like the playground smart a$$ with her sharp humor & while it sucks that Emma is often on the other end of her sharp humor & remarks, Regina is an equal opportunist when it comes to dishing them out she doesnt play favorites there 😉
I figure if Regina & Emma are going to become friends I can either be ticked off about it or I can try enjoy it for what it is, so I’m choosing to try get on board & not wear my teeth out with grinding, while doing so lol 😉

As for OQ I’m reserving judgement until I see how it all plays out- again, that’s the direction they are going & I’d rather enjoy the ride than get ticked off at it, cause it’s happening whether I like it or not 😉 I doubt Marian/he loves her/he loves her not situation will be cleared up in a hurry- it’s likely to drag on all season since that is all that is supposedly standing in the way of OQ happiness atm.
I do like & enjoy the chemistry Sean has with Lana though 😉 & I get a real kick out of Sean as a person, so I wouldnt mind him sticking around as regular cast- the guy is hilarious 😉
And after what is surely a dip in the ice coated, threatened life, sea of possible TLK scenarios for CS…we have young Hook coming!!!! Huzzah! Huzzah!
& Boy oh boy, can I not wait to see it play out!!!!! 🙂 😀 🙂
