Agreed @lumee23 I dont see Killy as a villain as such, because he wasnt in the habit of going about killing people as his 1st option. The stuff with Belle wasnt his best moments- it was more him at his most vicious- but even then BOTH times he didnt KILL Belle, the 1st time- maybe he would have killed her, she was “protecting” the already well known to be evil imp, whom murdered his love & maimed him…. I dont see that as villainous tbh, was it an act of kindness- of course not, had he actually murdered Belle, then yes it would have been an act of evil- but he DIDNT. Shooting Belle over the town line wasnt his best moment either, but again Belle had all but slapped him in the face & stuck up for AGAIN, the man whom murdered his love & maimed him- she didnt even care that much that Rumple had committed a serious act of evil in killing his ex wife, so him shooting Belle, rather than murdering her for preventing him from gaining his vengeance was in many ways proof positive that he wasnt evil per say.
I mean if by killing/harming someone whom has caused you serious wrong/harm is evil/villainous, then Emma, Snowing etc are ALL evil & villainous by default.

I’m sorry, but what’s misogynistic and anti-feminist about that whole thing is forcing a woman to remain in a loveless, unhappy marriage. Was it right for her to abandon her son? No, of course not–she regretted it immensely, but it wouldn’t exactly have been nice for Baelfire to grow up in a toxic environment where his mother deeply resented his father either and probably drank herself silly every night in an effort to forget that. And she even tried to make a last-ditch effort before leaving when she asked the night before if they could just move to some other village where her husband wouldn’t be known as the village coward. But Rumpel was unwilling to make even that small sacrifice, so she left. And just as it says in that essay, Rumpel was quite obviously the villain in that particular situation. He murdered his wife because she had the audacity to think for herself and live the life she wanted.
