Remember I’m just agreeing with someone elses point- that TLK doesnt have to be an actual “kiss” as such, it merely requires the lips of 2 people who care about each other (or at least are open to the idea of the other being their TL & accept it as truth), touching for TLK to work- hence it working when one is cursed & unconscious- like Snow was, when a curse kills someone- like it did Henry, when a memory spell is lifted enough for that person to begin to believe the other truly loves them- as was the case with Snowing.
A&E could swing it that TLK did indeed work when Emma did mouth to mouth- since magic was used to drown him, because their lips touched, but that WW factored TLK in & despite it being TLK, the magic trapping curse still took effect.
Like I say, I dont want that to be the case, but having seen the whoosh rainbow thingy that happens when TLK happens- I wouldnt be shocked off my rock if they did ‘cheat’ us out of our epic ‘TLK moment’…. but they wont, they wouldnt do that to us, they’ve been building the CS angst for the last 10eps now, so we should hit pay dirt next week! 🙂

Yeah, there is that, but Killian wasn’t dead, he was dying which is slightly different, Emma knew she could save him. And taking Snowing’s TLK when he woke her up from the coffin – and tbh it’s been a while since I’ve seen it – was he actually expecting her to wake up? Or was he just kissing her goodbye and the effects of TLK was a nice surprise?
I think their point was that “love/feelings” must be present in the ‘kisser’ & lips simply have to touch, for the “effects” of TLK to work when the other 1/2 is incapacitated- more than actually having to intend on “kissing” someone per say- if you think about it, the point is entirely valid logically, as kissing a dead person isnt really kissing them, it’s just pressing your lips to dead/dying tissue, the same can be argued of unconscious people, as they cant “kiss” back- so it’s simply touching someone else’s lips with your own, however the intent of trying to revive someone you have feelings for by giving them the “kiss of life” & trying to “TLk” someone ‘back’ again, is pretty much the same difference IMO- both situations may or may not work & in both situations one doesnt want to loose the other.
I’m still holding out for a proper “bells & whistles” CS TLK though- soooooo excited for next ep!!!!

Nope, not TLK. It wasn’t a kiss, she was breathing life into him. Intentions are very different. I think the circle thingy was his curse going because he felt it was gone when he woke up.
Yeah, I personally feel the same way- she wasnt actually kissing him, so i personally dont consider it as TLK …. Although someone (in another forum) had a point when they said you cant really kiss a dead person either & that the intent is still the same be it the “kiss of life” (aka mouth to mouth) on someone you love/have feeling for or trying to “kiss” your TL alive with a TLK.
So I’m on the fence with it IF it gets used- it is a good catch IMO & I do think A&E ‘could’ go there if they wanted & use the whole “kiss of life” thing easily- I wouldnt be all shocked about it given the circumstances, but I hope they dont- I really want to “see” a special, ‘magical’ ‘OMG! WTH! We are TL’ moment between Killy & Emma- not a wham-bam-thank-you-mam, ‘oh & by the way we are TL, but you kinda missed it on account of being drowned & I didnt really notice it on account of freaking out over loosing you’, because the 2nd situation kind of sucks as a pay off for all the angst!
OK, so I didnt catch this moment in my 1st or 2nd viewing….but someone did….. & now people are saying/wondering if it is possible that Emma’s CPR did count as TL (kinda) kiss, before/as her magic is taken, as the whoosh ‘rainbow’ circle thing did in fact happen- here’s the gif
Oh yes had forgotten about that aspect of the DO dagger lol.
However I still dont think that proposing to someone while you are in the middle of tricking/deceiving them is in anyway a good or healthy way to 1) start a back into a relationship again after a separation or 2) a good way to propose marriage to someone whom you are supposed to truly love.
It frustrates me as Rumple is once again making the same old choices & same old mistakes- choosing the “easy way” over the “hard/right way”, so he hasnt really learnt diddly squat from his sons death after all, which means it was kind of in vain (sure he warned them of Zelena, but Rumple is hardly honoring his memory by doing the exact opposite of what Bae would have wanted him to do) & he & Belle will be separated again in short order *sigh*
I dont doubt he was justified in his seeking vengeance at all- shame more of the fandom didnt realise the same about Hook when he wanted vengeance against Rumple for Milah’s murder last season :/ – However it doesnt make it “the right thing to do” either & I dont think at that stage Zelena was a threat at all- she was powerless & stuck in a prison- had she been a threat in anyway, she could/would have defended herself easily, her purpose was thwarted, she had been striped of her powers & was now just an “ordinary” person- I think it’s more WW knew exactly what Rumple would do should she fail in her attempt to enact her curse & his actions alone, actually caused/enacted whatever “backup” curse she had planed, when he murdered her. I think Zelena was smart enough to know should she fail, Regina or Rumple would kill her- which is why she was so keen for them to do so when she failed- either way her curse would be cast.
The show is about choices & IMO for 3seasons now, for the most part, we’ve seen Rumple continue to choose the same old way- the way that keeps him the DO, the way that ends up hurting those about him- I wish the writers would cut him & Belle a break for a change.
Ok- I apologise in advance- this is going to be loooong (just doing my re-watch)- I wont comment on the Oz stuff, as it seems most of it was there to drive home the point that people “choose” their destiny/ being good or evil etc.
Hehe, I just realised Emma considers Killian a “loved one” 😉 & that is part of why she is ticked off with him. Didnt like the fact she is still on her hypocritical, high horse this ep (she didnt seem to have a problem with telling Snow to “forgive & forget” Charming’s lie/ truth withholding while in NL- to the point Snow got snippy with her over it- yet she now has a problem with it cause it suits her lol- someone is being the rebellious 16yr old, 14yrs late :p ).
Loved Henry’s subtle CS shipping- “an apartment next to the water, with a view” LOL…. Wonder why he thinks Emma would like to live next to the water, in a place with a view LOLOLOL. Someone expects his mummy to be hanging out with a certain ‘dashing pirate’ more often than not while living in SB (so he obviously approves 😉 )- looks like Henry doesnt share his mom’s opinion on Killy’s punishment for not telling her about his green lips :p
I’ve already said this before & this ep proved it- Killian was damned if he told about the curse, damned if he didnt.When he pointed out telling her would have been Henry’s death sentence, Emma didnt care about that fact, in fact she looked ticked off that he had pointed that fact out & went on to say “his safety is for me to worry about”- so IMO, her anger at Killy not telling her, had/has Nothing to do with “keeping Henry safe“, that’s just a convenient excuse, she was/ is terrified that he took it upon himself to put himself in danger on her & Henry’s behalf- without discussing it with her 1st & THAT is the beyond scary gesture, that has her freaking out 😉
I mean look at how she reacted when Snow said in S2 ‘Emma’d have to get used to Snow putting her 1st’, but now we have a man whom not only
- Reads her like an open book,
- Has a special connection with her,
- Has made no secret of his feelings for her,
- Has proven to be trust worthy,
- Put aside his quest for vengeance of his murdered 1st love,
- Keeps turning up to help her & her family- no matter what,
- Puts up with her ‘nastiness’ & walls,
- Gets on with/ is friends with her son,
- Is not only is willing to lay down his life for her, but also for her only child as well
– that’s friggn MASSIVE & a horribly scary thought/situation for a women who is used to being
- Burnt,
- Screwed over,
- Abandoned,
- Having trust issues,
- Used to living alone,
- Being pretty much friendless,
- Keeps her walls up,
- Things just going horribly wrong in general- but esp in love!
So, she feels if she can distance herself from Killian, try not to feel anything ‘more’ for him & get out of SB with Henry, she has a chance of ‘protecting’ herself from taking a chance on opening up to love & the very real possibility of having everything she wants- Her happy ever after & her family.
What scares her is the fact that she can taste it, see it happening & knows if she stays in SB she will “go there” with Killian, as she’s already thought about it (hence telling him “I’m tired of living in the past”) & that makes the “danger” of staying all the more real & intense for her.
Can you imagine what is going to happen when she tries to tell Henry they are leaving, that kid is going to straight up tell her no, this is “OUR” home & I’m staying. It’s not like Regina will be ok with letting him go now the big bad is supposedly gone & she now will have everything she ever wanted in her grasp, either.
I think Emma will go into panic mode if I’m correct & Henry does refuse to leave, then it will be Killy once again being there to pick up her pieces & support her through it, like the wonderful TL partner he is for her 🙂
How anyone can think Emma doesnt have more than “friendship” feelings towards Killian is beyond me- when she pulled him out of the water trough she says (& I quote directly)
Emma “Hook! Hook! Hook! Wake up!”
“Killian! Killian, come back to me”.
“Oh god! Son of a b!%@h.” *gives mouth to mouth* Whispers “Hook, come back to me” *has intense look of relief & relaxes her whole body as he spits up water & comes around*
Then you add this to her expression when Killian touches his lips after whispering
“Swan….” & saying/shouting “What did you do?! What did you do?!”
She looks like she isnt sure what to tell him & the impact of what she just chose to do in that moment starts to dawn on her.
Killy had chosen to be ready & WILLING to give his life to protect her, Henry, her family & her magic. Then Emma goes & gives it all up for him…while she is mad/scared/confused/wants out of all of the FTL madness. I wonder if & would LOVE to see Killy point out to her, that She went against His “expressed” wishes there- he chose NOT to kiss her & take away her powers in order to protect Her, Henry, her family & Everyone else- but she didnt care, she just wanted to “save him/Killian” lol.
All this ‘Emma choosing Killian over her magic & the others’ (including her brother at this stage) is driven home when she gets to the hospital & reacts to the news her brother is gone- she is very sheepish/insecure about admitting what she has done (I think the gravity of what she did is really kicking in/ hitting home at that stage)- to any of them…. it isnt Killian’s fault he was cursed for loving Emma, it’s not his fault Emma resuscitated him either- Emma “chose him & the consequences of that decision” (nice parallel again there A&E), she’s afraid of what that choice will cost her & her family now.
I do have to LOL, that AFTER having shot, stabbed & fire balled how many flying monkey’s already, that Now, they choose to decide not to “kill” them as they are their friends LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL :p
I do find it a little disappointing that once again the “big bad” or “hopeless situation” is resolved by very anti climatic means- dont get me wrong LOVED Regina’s time to shine as the hero & get credit for doing the right thing (funny how quickly it all happened After Cora’s death :p ), but it was just so ‘easy’ again- ie. Oh wait, That’s right- Regina now has light magic as well & her light magic is more powerful than Emma’s magic, despite 2-3eps ago Regina being shocked at how powerful Emma actually is o.O (although I guess Emma could have been weakened by being “out of sync” with Killian- as it seems the TL partners of magic users, gives them a super power boost- so I will let that slip) *sigh*.
HATED the Rumbelle stuff- seriously he didnt just lie & cheat on his promise to Belle AGAIN?! & he did it on a friggn marriage proposal?! Ugh! When will Belle get a clue?! Here she is sticking up for herself for a change, then in walks Rumple, whom has spent hundreds of years killing people to get what he wants, has lied & cheated his way out of promises to not only “loved ones”,but to HER before & she goes & say’s ‘I trust you not to go murder the women, who murdered your son- Knowing the only reason she isnt dead now is Regina stopped you from killing her with the dagger’ & hands the dagger over to him….. Really?!?! Is she high?!?!- For someone whom is supposed to be so smart, Belle was all kinds of stupid this episode *sigh* Also WHY Didnt WW turn into the DO given Rumple stabbed her with the DO dagger?!?! Instead she turns to china, shatters, crumbles to dust, then turns into smoke, then a portal…. really?!? Dagger’s got some mad skills it seems- but kinda flies in the face of whom ever is killed with the dagger becomes the DO cannon fact they more than established the last 2 seasons o.O
My fav scene & I will quote again- because I think MANY people missed it! & why I LOVED it so much 🙂

Emma “We won” *looks extremely pleased/happy*
Killian “With all the chaos…I never got the chance to say thank you” *earnest expression*
Emma *with look of surprise* “You really think I’d let you drown”
Killian *expression/manner brightens up*”Given, our history- can you blame me for being uncertain”
Emma *smiles again & gives breathy chuckle*
Killian “Has your power returned now that Zelena has been defeated”
Emma “No”
Killian *whispers* “I’m sorry love”
Emma “It’s ok, I wont need it in NY”
*moment Emma breaks Killian’s (& the CS fandoms) heart(s)…..AGAIN*
Loved how Happy the Charmings are for that moment in time- that wont last when Emma drops the NY bomb.
Surprising how much the 1st 15-20mins or so of this ep was pointing out how Emma can see a happy ever after in SB, yet she is once again running from it. I mean Henry pointed it out, Killy pointed it out, WW even pointed it out- now Emma has to “believe” in hope & go for it too.
Well it’s 3:30am here so I’m off to bed lol
