ParticipantSo LOVED the CS & CaptainCobra moments this ep- but anyone else a little ticked off that once again A&E have said one thing done another? Time travel……. REALLY?!?!

Adam said they’re not doing it bu;t it really seems like they are lol
I know…. how else can we explain the very few bts pics…. It’s also odd, given our near total lack of ‘spoilers’ for the finale…. I just wish they’d stick to what they say, or at least amend what they say if they do feel they may/could ‘go there’ eventually :/
It’s like we need to take everything they say with a kilo of salt sometimes!
CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXT EP THOUGH! E17 promo looks AWESOME!!! Finally answers! 😀
I post more thoughts on the actual ep, after my rewatch- the whole time travel thing is bugging me to much to think about anything else right now lol :p

ParticipantAdam tweeted about it: no time traveling on Once
Regina’s apple managed it. Jefferson used his hat to take it from the past and bring it to her in the future. um what’s the code for hiding spoilers?
If wanting to spoiler tag a post already containing spoilers then
1) Highlight, with your mouse the section of the post you wish to quote
2) Right click and select copy
3) Come down to your text box and select the block quote button (looks like two giant quote marks, next to the I and the strike through)
4) Paste in the text you want to quote
5) Add in the spoiler tags to the quote at the front and the end as normal
6) Hit enter to move down and unclick the QUOTE box. This will let you type out your response without being in the quote.

Participant@rogvortex58 Yeah I completely disagreed with Jeremy about how if you’re just looking at the chemistry between the two characters then you ship CS and if you ship SF you’re focused more on the overall story. I mean LOOK at the overall story Hook and Emma have found themselves closer to each other due to the way the story has been told. Emma has been put in a place where she has to let go of her relationship with Neal. The story demanded that the book would be closed on SF I’m sorry but that’s Adam’s words. Neal’s death happened because the story demanded, which means the story led Emma away from a happy ending that included Neal in it. I understand people being upset and thinking that Neal’s death was the death of hope on this show if the way they had been seeing the story was the way RG said on the podcast. For me I never saw Neal & Henry as the center of the story it wasn’t their fairytale it’s Emma’s. Now what is Emma’s happy ending? We don’t know that yet, we know some parts of what that includes, we can guess as to others but the hope is not dead on this show because Emma can still have her happy ending, her love, her family, her home. She can have all of that still this is the story her fighting for her happy ending I know that a lot of people had an idea of what that was romantically that is now gone but that’s the story we’re being told.
YES! THIS! Take a bow KJ & here have a coconut & box of hooky cookies!

ParticipantIt’ll suck for Henry when he gets his memories back.
Yes it will- I bet he is going to be upset with Emma about it to begin with as well (at least until he’s filled in on what happened), poor kid.

ParticipantPlus didnt A&E say they arent doing time travel anyway (I think they said it during the whole ‘who is August’ & ‘who sent the card’ thing, when people kept saying it was future Henry)

ParticipantI agree it can get really bad if poorly done, but there are actually 5 temporal paradoxes: 1) Causality (Cause comes before effect- ie. In the flow of time, the effect (Emma) would exist before the cause (her birth). 2) The grandfather paradox (You change the past but you’ll instantly feel the alteration, as will your ancestors). 3) Consistent causal loop (You can travel back, but you always did, so nothing changes). 4) Distorted probability (You can travel back but you can’t change anything). 5) Parallel universe (You can change the past, but you’ll just create a brand new timeline). & that’s where I have problems with it- it’s not much of a story with 1, 2, 3 or 4 IMO either. #5 can be very interesting when done right- but then who’s really who & it can get messy fast!

ParticipantAs much as I hate watching the episode late, I’m actually glad I don’t have to deal with the live chat when episodes come on. But I’ve said it before (though probably not here) but there’s a bigger story beyond Neal’s death. There’s still more story to tell. Like the final battle that was mentioned in the pilot? I actually like the podcast has mostly stayed away from ‘ships territory because it’s not a ‘ship oriented podcast. It’s about the show and the story.
Agreed, Neal’s death was the same as Pan’s was, to serve the bigger story. i mean if Pan hadnt died, Rumple wouldnt have finally, after hundreds of years, made the right choice & sacrificed himself for his son & thus be redeemed for letting him go in Neal’s eyes/heart. It also helps pair Rumbelle, Belle always knew it, but now she’s seen it & set up our entire 3B plot. Time will tell just big of an impact Neal’s death will have- we already know it’s, what has thrown a spanner in the works for WW’s plan, as now everyone knows who’s the big bad & that everyone will be even more focused on stopping her now.
