ParticipantI think Henry wonât be influenced by the Stiltskin side of his family because Neal didnât really have any influence on Henryâs upbringing. Whereas Rumple was brought up by Malcolm, and Bae was brought up by Rumple, Henry was brought up by Regina. Henry is the perfect nature vs nurture experiment. Will he repeat the mistakes of the Stiltskins before him because itâs in his nature or will he walk a different path because of the way he was nurtured by Regina? Do I think Henry may start dabbling in magic? Possibly, he has 3 âusersâ in his family: Emma, Regina and Rumple.
Agreed & loving your posts POM!
Yeah I agree. I know a lot of people feel that Nealâs decision to bring back Rumple was OOC but I really just donât see it. I think part of the reason is because it interferes with the hero narrative that some people have written for Neal because a hero wouldnât make that choice to use dark magic. That is also a major point of disagreement for me though. Overall I really donât consider Neal as heroic. He has made some heroic decisions (primarily as a child) but he has also made some very selfish decisions, especially recently. I donât really consider Hook a true hero yet either despite his making some heroic decisions recently. Maybe my definition is a lot tougher than others
*Nods in agreement* I think Hook is “nearly” there, but I’m not sure I’ll ever see him as anything other than an anti-hero- I get the feeling if it came to protecting his loved ones, he may be willing to something less than moral, IF it meant his loved ones safety- could just be me though & A&E may blow that out of the water & have him be full on hero by seasons end yet, I guess lol đ
he used really dark magic and had to pay the price. That price was his happy ending. As far as I am concerned that is as it should be and doesnât ruin the showâs theme.
Exactly! *Hands over coconut*

ParticipantLovely eye candy banquet, Surayya! Many thanks. Good lunch break yummies (grin) Regarding some other posters comments and feelings about Hook. Essentially, it is their choice and shows their own character when they continually try to denigrate. It has nothing to do with anyone elseâs good feelings, just their own negativity. When killjoys relentlessly harp on the same things over and over, it often means they are threatened or insecure of their own joy . When it has been established that a poster has certain feelings about a character (and this is ANY character) and others habitually and maliciously bait/pester that poster without just respectfully co-existing, that behavior is self-indulgent, immature clap trap, and if not ignored, should be pitied. Basically, and in particular to OUAT, if someone doesnât like HookâŚ.so what? Embrace your own joy
It is very powerful.
Well said *Hands over a coconut*
