It’d suck if he came over IMO, as that’d mean he didnt get a HEA in wonderland- otherwise his TL would have to come with him & honestly I dont want yet another couple of characters taking additional story time- 9/10 mains is enough (once OQ becomes official) as you then have all the minor characters (approx 15, who we are seeing less of), then all the one off characters tales etc. that still get told. Lol @Jennifer – Emma & Will, now that is ” up in crack ship space”
Good – I thought I was the only one not thrilled… but didnt want to say anything. enough craziness going on right now. I immediately thought how adding him might take away from Hook. I know – I admit it – little childless. if I could make it the CS Show I would. HAHA. I agree… I’m happy with the characters now. I also feel they gloss over depth and details i would be interested in because they do have so many story lines going.
Yeah, no- you are not alone, while WL has gotten much better in the back part of the season, the quality of acting isnt up to the standard we are blessed with on OUaT. I don’t say that to bash WL actors (as I say, I’ve quite enjoyed WL in the back 1/2), I’m just saying that we have an extremely talented bunch of actors/actresses on OUaT, who for the most part could be/are considered TV’s equivalent of hollywoods A list movie actors etc.
I think this pretty much sums up the CS’ers attitude toward the NF & SF fans right now…

@Slurpeez108 I’m one of the folks on this board that have been around from basically the very beginning like you (with periods gone here and there). Believe me that we ALL feel terrible about how hurt you all are, and that we also shed tears during Neal’s death. Heck I sobbed today just reading a well written recap!! I worked as a Hospice Nurse at one point during my life and this is, oddly, very much like a real death for both SF shippers as well as for CS shippers even though we all recognize Neal was a fictional character. Everyone handles grief in very different ways and this situation is no different. But in working with families who have lost a loved one, consistently the most difficult time for most people tends to be the point where they realize that life is going on as normal for the rest of the world but life will never be the same for them again. I think this is kind of where the fandom is right now. As CS shippers we feel terrible for your loss but we also feel helpless because we don’t really know what we can do to help – there really isn’t anything we can do to help except to allow space for you all to grieve together while letting you know we really do care. But then we are also still amongst the living and unfortunately are unintentionally hurting some grieving people by going on with life. I’m not talking about the people who are being purposely mean or trying to egg people on – that’s just cruel and immature. So we are bound to end up saying some things that might hurt right now because the wound is so fresh but please know we aren’t doing so intentionally and we are trying to keep within our CS thread so we don’t risk hurting feelings unless it is some kind of generalized topic. No one WANTS to write anything that will hurt someone’s feelings but right now I think that writing about the death from different perspectives is bound to be painful. I hope SF shippers won’t boycott the show. We ALL fell in love with OUaT before we starting shipping and before we got wrapped up in individual characters. I kind of lost interest during S2 but then picked up and fell in love with it all over again. I think the same think can happen for those who are mourning Neal if they give it a bit of time. I’m beginning to see reasons why they killed off Neal. 1. It keeps us on our toes- We’d become a bit complacent in thinking the regulars were safe because they were regulars. Killing off a main character shows that anyone can die whether or not they’re a regular. 2. Why Neal?- Why kill off the guy who has had such a crappy life and deserved a happy ending? Because it ups the stakes. It shows happy endings aren’t guaranteed, even to those who do deserve them. It stops the audience being complacent. 3. Why did Neal say what he did such as telling Emma to find Tallahassee with someone else, which is some of what has angered SFers?- Because Neal knew he was going to die. In his last few moments with Emma and Rumple, he told them stuff that would enable them to move on. He told Emma to find love again especially as previously she had trouble opening her heart to anyone because of what happened with Neal. He told Rumple to “let go” because Rumple had created a curse just to find Bae, who knows what he would’ve done to bring Bae back. 4. How Neal died- Neal didn’t get to see Henry and I think the point of him dying how he did was to show that death can happen anytime, it’s not foreshadowed, it can occur out of the blue without warning. Kind of like in Buffy the Vampire slayer where Buffy returns home to find her mother lying dead on the sofa. It is sad that Neal died, and everyone would’ve preferred him not to die. Nobody wanted anybody to go. However I can see why his death panned out as it did, and it wasn’t just to make way for CaptainSwan.

I never watched the show, but from the article it seems like another buddy for Charming, Hook and Hood. I just hope its not another ship to be Anti Hook though. I want a little respect for our pirate.

As a mom to a 12 year old boy who has a second husband who stepped in to the “father” role in my son’s life since his bio dad is not in his life, I can’t wait for the upcoming CaptainCobra scenes. And I can confirm from a real life perspective that those scenes will NOT be about CS but will be about a man stepping up to fill a role that is desparately needed in a young man’s life. A man CANNOT fake interest in a child in order to score points with mom – it is obvious, trust me. And I am just talking from a situation where a child has been abandoned by his bio father not one in which there has been a death and the man stepping in to fill the role of the father loved the missing dad as well. Henry is going to be one very lucky kid in terms of what he is going to get from Hook. Hook wanted to be a father to Bae and regretted that he was never able to do so/made a huge mistake with him. How much more of an effort do you think he is going to put forth in fathering Henry for that reasom ALONE?? Than add in the fact that he will want to do it to honor Bae’s memory AND he will want to it because he loves Emma and Henry is a part of Emma, plus he doesn’t want to make the same mistake he made with Milah again – only loving the woman and not insisting on taking the entire package even if SHE didn’t want to. That man is going to be the most dedicated father figure any one has ever seen – and he is going to make darn sure Henry knows all about Neal – with or without his memories. CS has NOTHING to do with this relationship which is what makes it so beautiful to me.!!
All of this- As someone who’s had stepfathers I concur absolutely.
I really hate hearing the argument that Hook doesn’t really love Emma and only cares about ‘the taco side’ of things.
Far out some people have selective memories- Echo cave anyone?!?!
