Ok I’ll just say it what does this death to as far as our ship is concerned?
Nothing to be honest- at least as far as I’m concerned (since NY/curse 2.0) 😉
I think this ep more than any to date really highlighted just how much Emma really has deep “feelings” for Hook/Killian. He is the one she is ‘scared’ to fall for- because she can see herself “really” falling for him- completely & she’s already part way there- falling into that kind of abyss would scare to oats outta her after Neal & monkey-man, Walsh, on top of Henry, her parents, SB/ real world or EF/FTL life & being savior. It kind of explains her flash of Killian in echo cave (why they used that particular flash/image)- she knew what he said was true, he had moved on & honestly does love her- he is hers to have if she has the courage to take the love he offers her 🙂 It also helps explain why she is always trying to throw up her heart’s protective walls, which naturally, simply dont want to exist when she’s with Killian (I think that’s part of the connection thing- they ‘match’ each other, so why hide/ have defenses around your heart), why she cant help but rely on him either, because for her she 1) Trusts him pretty much implicitly now (the fact she dropped the “you’re lying” thing speaks volumes in her level of trust in him IMO) & B.) Wants him to want her.
The Neal/Emma banter in the forest is a direct contrast (as @jenven pointed out) IMO, is because for Emma, how Neal felt about her near marriage to a monkey didnt matter on a personal/heart level so much- his feelings didn’t really hold weight on her heart on that fact, it’s not him she is hoping loves her & wants to be there for her; so if he laughs at her, it doesnt really matter- they are friends, who happen to share a son (sorry SF fans!)
Emma knows she needs “more” than simple I love you’s- Killian has proven he is capable of more than love, he is capable of some of the deepest levels of loyalty, love & devotion on the show to date. He has proved this to Emma time & again, Neal didnt (sadly for him, her & the SF fans), so what Killian says to Emma has weight, that isnt carried by other characters on the show, his words matter to her on a personal/heart level. At least thats my opinion on the matter lol.
I still think overall Bae/Neal drew the short straw when it came to character development. I think they did a good job considering it was only one episode but I felt it shouldn’t have been just one. Even his death seemed like a plot device to explain how Rumple was returned back to life. I suppose the story line they developed with him and Rumple becoming one would make it difficult for him to be present prior to all of this but that confused me. I didn’t understand how they separated initially but were still “together”. What I did like is that for the first time I actually felt that Neal = Bae. Throughout this show to me it always seemed to me that they were two different people. I loved Bae but I did not like Neal. I liked the banter that Emma and Neal had in the woods and for the first time I actually understood why so many people ship Swanfire. I do feel really bad for Neal fans. That episode made me cry and I am not a Neal fan so I can’t imagine how they feel. I was glad Emma told Henry that his father was a hero right away.

Well I’m depressed now… :’( Loved, loved, LOVED, the OQ stuff!!! I loved that Hook made up (for lack of a better term) with both Belle and Neal. That was absolutely wonderful. But then… ugh… I did love Neal. I never really wanted him to be with Emma, but I loved him as a character. Just… sadness… (But at the same time, now Emma’s free, and she can live happily ever after with Hook. Yet still… sadness. I’m torn. :p )

Okay, I’m gonna have to try to post the Jolly Roger pictures tomorrow. It says the file is too big when I try to attach and when I try to copy it comes out as this ENORMOUS pictures of only the side of the picture. Hoping my hubby can help me tomorrow.

OMG!!!!! One of the best eps this half of the season so far!!!!! & Can I just take a moment to say to everyone here- take a bow folks, we called a butt tone of events mths ago (although we were all a little off on the Neal=Flying monkey thing lol) & I’m not talking about the death here- just realized, how what I said could be taken! I do feel very bad of all the SF fans atm, if I was in their place right now- I’d be heartbroken as well.
Awww! Emma is trying to find a way to get Hook and Belle to “make up” by having Hook stay and protect Belle.
I know right!!!! & Now the “he didnt even say sorry” crud, can STOP. He said “sorry” & stayed back to protect her to make up for it- it’d done & dusted (& THANK YOU A&E!!!!!)
Does anyone else find it especially creepy when she touches Snow’s “tummy” knowing that Ginny is ACTUALLY pregnant?? It makes my skin crawl!!

Awwww!!! I’m. gonna cry!! Best Hook moment ever!! And Bae called him Killian!! My heart just broke!!
It was such a tender moment! Loved it- it is so bitter sweet to get a lot of the stuff we’ve wanted to be resolved or touched on for a whole season now, but I’m so glad they did.
I do think the way it was handled was well done for the most part (between he & Emma with Rumple looking on), but was abrupt & out of the blue, which was sad. I did LOVE the CaptainFire moment though- there was so many awesome scenes in this episode (which is why I love it- not because of the death- so please dont take me the wrong way, any SF/NF fans reading this- I feel for you!).
I’m sooooo revealed the death is over with now & hopefully we can all stop walking on egg shells now.
Oh & anybody else LOVE the OQ stuff- cant wait to find out how it all goes down- how our main leads al have other halfs & Henry is about to gain a brother & another aunt or uncle (that sounds kinda weird lol)
Once again- sorry to all the SF/NF fans, thoughts, hugs cookies to those that are reading this & need it 🙂
