@polythenepam I’m still not 100% convinced on the CS wedding either yet, but I do enjoy seeing all the pro posts for it- like you I’m happy to be convinced 😉
[adrotate group="5"]I didnt know how on earth they’d work a sleeping curse in since its ‘EQ/Regina’s’ thing. But now the WW has Regina’s cursed hair pin, it seems logical that someone is going to take a sleeping curse & require kissing awake- so why not Killian & Emma
… Although I would like to see Regina’s reaction to having TLK work for her & Robin (however she already has the lion tattoo to go off of, so I’m back to CS getting TLK via sleeping curse- esp since it would parallel Snowing very nicely indeed)Idk, I have a feeling TLK isn’t gonna work if you’re cursed. In Season 1 Snowing kissed repeatedly in Storybrooke but they were cursed. It needed Emma to kiss Henry (both of whom weren’t cursed) to break the first curse. And who are the only ones who’re not cursed and have their memories intact right now? ;).
Oh, we are talking about a simple sleeping curse here (at least I am lol), Not memory wipes. Correct that TLK wont break memory wipes, which is why Snowing’s EF TLK didnt work, nor Rumbelle’s SB TLK nor CS TLK in NY.
Emma had to kiss her true love to break the 1st storybrooke curse (which was Henry) as a condition of breaking the 1st curse, so it didnt matter how many other TL’s kissed, the curse was only set to break when Emma performed it- remember it was the specific fail safe Rumple worked into the curse- Emma performing TLK being 1 of 2ways to break it? (Emma was VERY walled off in S1, so she had to admit to herself/know herself that she was really Snowing’s daughter & truly loved (not just cared about, but loved above all others) Henry in order for TLK to work).
However Henry still also had to be kissed by his TL in order to wake up/break the sleeping curse he was under- so it was a 2birds, 1 stone situation there- 2 curses, 1 kiss kinda thing 😉
So if we follow the same pattern, Emma (who knows who she is) kissing Killian (who knows who he is) or vice versa, it will have the same result for a sleeping curse ie. rainbow whoosh & the other awakens 😉 As to whether or not it will break the ‘actual’ transportation/ memory wipe SB 2.0 curse … that’ll only happen if Rumple’s old back up plan for the 1st curse is still in play.

& @Killian Jones is correct (I think) that Emma & Killian have some sort of special connection- which we’ve been told about since the beanstalk & that A&E as well as the actors have confirmed a number of times. It’s the only thing that makes sense, otherwise it would be odd indeed that Killian was the only one her super power worked, on emotional or not 😉
I really liked the points this new/follow up meta brings to light-
I was going to add those points here as snip its, but there’s to many & i’ll end up posting the lot lol- so here is a breakdown of the highlights-
- Attention to Emma’s theme playing- how it ties into her parents theme & is changed depending on how she feels.
- Possible timeline for 3B being only a matter of a few weeks, meaning something drastic will need to happen for Emma to go from where she is now to walking down the aisle.
- Regina now knowing how ‘future’ step daddy/s could affect Henry.
- Everyone important knows Emma considered marrying a fly monkey man, aside from Snow- Snow doesnt let stuff like that ‘go’, so there’s likely to be a ‘scene’ about it soon.
- How Hook outlined Emma’s fears, but she miss understood.
- Emma’s fears over what Killian may or may not have done in their year apart- I will included this exscript as it made me lol
The other interesting thing is how Emma jumps to the adventure conclusion, almost like she doesn’t want to hear that he may have been laying drunk on the deck of ship for 365 days sobbing his eyes out and singing “All By Myself.” Sarcasm aside, it’s almost like she instantly put defenses up so she didn’t’ have to hear that he was heartbroken. But despite her wall, she did actually admit that he saved her.”
- How Emma calling Killian out on the “lie” is important, along with Killian’s being blunt for the last few eps, then suddenly closing up about something is very interesting & how that answer could have affected Emma.
- More about Chamring coming to terms with CS happening.
- About how Hook could be the tinman in this story.

Here’s a follow up meta on the foreshadowing CS wedding from after this latest episode (I will read it after I call the cats in lol)
I would like the idea that Emma would have to lift the curse the WW would inflict upon Hook. It will not only be parallel to Snowing, but it will urge Emma to finally take a leap of faith and face her true feelings for Hook, by giving him TLK… ………….. BRB I just died with that thought in my head

I have to admit to liking the whole idea of Killian being under the sleeping curse & Emma TLK him awake more & more. I wasnt so sure before, as I didnt know how on earth they’d work a sleeping curse in since its ‘EQ/Regina’s’ thing. The only way I can excuse Emma for her behavior towards Killian in this 1 scene- This time- Is as she said, ‘she keeps falling for guys who turn out to be ‘not who they really are”, I guess as much as Emma would like to fall head over heels for Killian again (because I do believe she was almost to the point of choosing to ‘go out’ with Killian by 3×11, but the curse happened & we just got “good” as an admission of her feeling ‘something’ romantic towards him instead, but I digress), she’s likely terrified Killian will turn out to have done ‘something’, has some hidden agenda, while they’ve spent time apart (I mean she thought the other 2 where exactly who she thought they were, with no ulterior motives & she didnt doubt them, but look how they turned out for her)- a year is along time, after all, for ‘stuff’ to go down. Emma is a pessimist- not an optimist, so all this stuff will be tumbling around in her head I’d guess. So, yeah- I can understand in this instance her attitude, however like I said, if it keeps up- it will get VERY old, very fast. I’m hoping 1×17 will see us & Emma find out exactly what went down during that year (or at least the important part/s of it), so Emma can accept Killian isnt like the other guys/monkeys she’s dated/fallen for & she can embrace Killian & what he has to offer her
I dont want to see more of Emma being septic towards Killian, when all he’s doing is putting his heart out there for her to crush or embrace.@polythenepam Emma’s super power doesnt work well when her emotions are involved (at least that is what A&E have said), so I guess that would explain it.
I think Emma’s fear of Killian could stem from them actually having this deep connection to each other (TL connection
), so if she falls for him, she is going to fall hard & she knows it- so to keep herself ‘safe’ she slams her walls up harder around him than others, as he’s able to get through her walls far more easily, than any of the others have- whats the saying “We hurt those we love the most” …..It doesnt excuse her doing what she is doing to Killian atm or in the long run- he doesnt HAVE to tell her where nor what he did- esp if he knows it’ll hammer her (like if he did something huge to get back to her- Emma doesnt take ‘grand gestures of undying love’ too well yet lol).You’ve made some really good observations @polythenepam & I think most of us agree with you & get what you mean about Emma, most of us love her as well, but seeing Killian (he & Emma are my favs) treated the way she is treating him & his heart breaking expressions, when we all know, all he wants is for her to love him as he loves her- deeply & truly- it just kicks me in the feels!!!! Poor Killy- I just hope it’s all over as far as Emma pulling away by 3×17 (dont know if I can stand seeing his hurt expression.

I know!! I saw this on Captain Eala’s Tumblr and died!! Don’t know how I missed it but I think it might be the single cutest Hookism ever!!
I think so too! Will be looking for it on my 3rd rewatch tonight lol 😉
