OK. Aside from really enjoying the dark/psychological flavor and David hero-mind set centric( I am loving me some Prince Charming for the first time!) episode…and all the Oz possibilities of who-is-what-character-or-a blend-of-them-and-by-the-way-they-are- ALL-Dorothy…. I am glad to see Hook being somewhat guarded about what he might know or have experienced…all the while being in her face about emotions. Make her work for the love you are offering her Hook! YES. Make her face the challenge and the depth. Even totally understanding her fears, I get peeved at Emma a lot (heh) choosing these bland, easy, shallow guys instead of facing a really complex, emotionally complicated partner, deeply sensual and intriguing…which is what she needs. Yeah. Stay in her face, Hook

Oh & also there was talk of Emma having a bumper sticker on the back window of her bug, that was a Pegasus (which I adamantly refuted it being lol). Well now the mystry of what it is, is solved – it is another lost easter egg, a Geronimo Jackson sticker 🙂

Ok, our pirate was being a little bit of a pooper scooper in that first scene at MM’s apt…although, yeah, I’d probably still be a little irritated to find out the girl I crossed realms to save was about to marry a monkey. So…he’s forgiven. But that CS scene! Holy geez, it was so good! I think Hook’s going to stay just far away to let Emma make the choice and come to him, but I really like that he understands her well enough to know she’ll stay in her comfort zone and avoid it at all costs…and he’s going to make that little zone very uncomfortable indeed. I wonder if Hook hadn’t come back in NYCS, and Walsh had still proposed if Emma would have said yes. I don’t think she would. Emma needs a challenge and that was Monkey Man’s mistake – he didn’t challenge her. He was a yes-man. That kind of support is nice for a little while, but Emma especially needs someone who is going to stand up to her, push her, force her to face her fears, while supporting her, and Walsh was not that guy…or monkey. I’d like to think she made the choice not to marry Walsh because on some level she did realize that, not because Hook had come back.

Agree with your 1st to points & as to your 3rd (bolded) I agree with you, but I feel IF Emma had honestly loved him enough to want to marry him, she wouldn’t have left him like she was going to (until he went all flying ape on her). She would have found away to tell him who & what she & her family was- period.

I strongly feel there is no way she would have called it off to go rescue her parents IF she really was going to marry him- she loved the idea, not the actual man (I’m not saying she didn’t love Walsh, I’m saying she didn’t view Walsh as ‘eternal- do anything for you’ love) is my opinion on that matter & I’m not just saying that because I want her & Killian together either. IF Walsh had been more like Killian in personality & actually challenged her to be the beast version of herself, without wanting her to be any different from whom she really is, then I’d have said- yeah, she probably would have married him – sans the flying monkey part of his self 😉

Loved the Emma/Charming daddy/daughter moment- even though it was a dream/nightmare

LOVED the whole CS Forest moment- I think it’s is starting to address some of what POM was saying & prove what many of us CS’ers have been pointing out- Hook’s love of adventure, isn’t really a love of adventure at all (he was in the Navy for his brother, he was a pirate due to his king being corrupt, he became Hook & travelled across realms & worlds etc. due to Rumple murdering Milah)- he seemed to be (in this scene) as tired as running around jungles/forests looking for bad dudes as Emma is TBH.

Also I’m really starting to like the idea that Killian gave up the JR for Emma- he is very stand offish, but not in a shifty way-more in a ‘I gave something up, or did something to get to you & I’m not telling you what’ way- about what he was up to in that yr, he wasn’t having adventures for the yr before, so what was he doing if not looking for the JR then a way back to her????? The only odd thing is I’d have thought he would have just our right said looking for away back to you, but then maybe he’s not sure about how she’ll take that news just yet….. His face when he asks if she really was seriously thinking about marriage speaks volumes- poor guy is really worried she doesn’t feel the same way for him, he feels for her after this last yr.

Emma’s reaction when Killy say’s “Don’t take this the wrong way, but I’m glad to hear that” is nice- a little surprised, but still very guarded & I love we nailed how she felt/feels after Walsh- yet another guy she falls in love with, yet turns out to be someone else/ isn’t who he says he is.

Love how as Killy steps right up close to her & says “If it can be broken, it means it still works”, she has to catch her breath & blink rapidly (although if a guy did that to me, I’d have to the same I’m sure lol). The way she looks deeply into his eyes & knows he’s telling the truth & being honest about it, kind of surprises, frightens, but at the same time ‘shuts out’ that possibility (that’s not the right term- UGH!!!!). Does anyone have a gif set showing her expression right after that conversation, as she looks away from Killian, takes stock of her self & turns away. I’m trying to figure her expression out…. it’s like she tries to put her walls up while he’s talking to her, she cant have them all the way up, so what he says effects her, she turns away to master her emotions, throw her walls back up high & solid, takes a breath to shoulder ‘dealing’ with ‘having to have no one to love for herself’ & turns away because that conversation right after he refuses to answer what exactly he was up to, is just not worth having in case she finds out he also isn’t who he she ‘hopes’ he is.

It’s like she has to keep putting him the “pirate” category, so she can talk herself out of ‘trying’ with him or something- I’m talking right now, not pre-curse 2.0 … I think she really does feel, love for her isn’t in the cards, so she has to keep Killian at arms length, but she cant turn him away, because she is to drawn/connected to him & wants it so badly, kind of thing.

Killian’s expression after she’s turns away with out a word is kind of heart breaking, poor guy is laying it all out on the table for her & can see she feels ‘something’, but she wont say or admit to anything, so he has his work cut out for him, to get back to that place they left a year ago!

@obisgirl, what I mean is Hook has a strong love for the sea. He may give up pirating as such but he’d still want to sail rather than being stuck on dry land until the end of his days. Maybe Emma and Hook could go on monthly sailing trips then both get what they want, Hook isn’t completely cut off from the sea, Emma gets to be with her family for most of the time, Henry gets chance to see all his parents if he stays behind whilst Hook and Emma are off sailing. Everybody wins.

The easy way out for this (in my mind), is rebuilding Snowing’s castle by the massive inland lake/ocean – win, win for all then 😉

LOL RG! I’m just excited that Hook’s gonna be interacting with our mermaid, because I bloody well wanna know what his reason for being so anti-mermaid is, feels like there’s gotta be some specific event that made him feel that way, and maybe we’re gonna find out what it was.

 

Maybe it has something to do with his searching for ways out of NL- like the mermaids wouldnt help him with it, so they were defacto enemies- maybe they wouldnt have anything to do with him since he was working for Pan or something along those lines.

I hear you, RGF. I was thinking the same thing. We need to get CE and her pretties back! Surayya’s rocked (whoever does the ones above is awesome, I haven’t seen one that hasn’t made me laugh and think ‘so true!) but I miss my morning kisses too! I see you on Tumblr, Eala but it’s not the saaaaaame!!!! (In case you’re one of our lurkers!) I think the hiatus scared some folks away. It got a little heated at times, but RG and MP worked really hard to keep people in line and put the negativity to bed, and I agree, chat has been a lot lighter again. I’ve had a lot of thought-provoking talks there lately, along with a great amount of pure silliness. Even the threads have had some great stuff lately.

I hand-on-heart would LOVE for Eala to come back!!! I dont come across nearly as many great CS pics as she does/did! & I just dont have the time to look unless it’s the weekend either…. I still havent found out where she was sourcing all those kiss gifs from- I have looked high & low lol + what I do find I’m never sure if it’s already been posted already or not :p

I do wish some of the old crowd would come back, we’ve lost a lot of vibrant energy since Eala left & I miss Kat’s mega posts as well.

I will give the other threads ago tonight & maybe see who is in chat & whats going on as well.

I know, it’s so sad. It seems like everyone went into hiding once the show started. I’m trying to ignore the spoilers and enjoy the story that is being told . Especially the spoiler of doom. I have really enjoyed these last two episodes, personally they are some of my favorites so far.

Agreed, this season, for me personally, is right up there with S1- tbh it might even be better by the end!

The week has definately dragged! I think everyone is scared of spoilers since the hug-that-never-was. I know I keep looking for them but if I hear anything they don’t do as much for me anymore – I don’t feel like I can trust anything that comes out anymore. I feel like A and E want it that way – I guess I can’t blame them. I also think things have also dragged because it seems like we have lost half our ship. Where did everyone go?? I miss everyone. It seems like there isn’t anyone writing novels about the tiniest little details of the previous episode. What happened?? I know the chat for the first episode back wasn’t the most pleasant but if anyone is lurking out there (huuulllooo???) I have been chatting quite a bit lately and it has been EXTREMELY friendly – seriously – I haven’t felt uncomfortable at all. Everyone has been very friendly to everyone in the chat and everyone has been very open to listening to everyone’s theories. No one has been hitting anyone over the head with theories that make Hook (or any other shipped character) out to be a bad guy. Stelio (um, Killian) has been doing a great job of getting everyone to be supportive of ALL the ships in the March Madness contest – and I think it has helped to make people more supportive of the show in general, not just individual ships – which has really helped the chat (Thanks Stelio Killian Kontos Jones!) So if you are lurking come out and play – “Do you want to build a snow man?”

I guess another thing is with all the hate that has gone on, it has tainted the show somewhat for many people (I know it has for me- dont get me wrong, I still love the show & our ship, but I’m not as vested in the fandom as I once was) & I guess having so much hate thrown about during the break, made many fans realize they had become overly invested in fictional characters, with feeling like you had to defend so & so, over & over again. So I can see how many fans would feel like they needed to take a step back from it all- when it’s great when it’s friggn awesome, but seriously bad when its bad.

I guess there’s also the spoiler of doom to take into consideration as well (I know I’ll be relieved when it’s over & done with & we just have the wedding to look forward to instead), not to mention as you say, not being able to trust the spoilers now (that was fairly cruel to not say ‘hey guys, just because something is filmed, doesn’t mean it will necessarily make the cut’ or something), but I guess it’s the nature of spoilers- you win some & you lose some 😉
