You guys all NEED to read this meta. Warning, it’s very, very long but seriously, it’s worth it. The part I love the most, is We know that 3×17 is called “The Jolly Roger” it is the Hook centric episode that takes place in the lost year. Hook has to fight Blackbeard for his ship. He tells David in New York City Serenade (Aka the season 3b blueprint) that the Jolly Roger is his home. I’m guessing that this is the episode where Hook realizes he doesn’t give a monkey’s butt whether or not he has his ship, all he cares about is Emma, that she is his home. Interesting that Hook will have his own dilemma over his “home.”

I was kind of hoping we’d get a long E22, but looks like it’ll be e21 & 22 combined instead.
Agreed @sweetgrass & I hope we get to see her in something like their original concept art for her- it was a very Pirate’ish looking coat, long boots, skinny pants & I dont remember the top style. 😀

She’s nailed many of the plot points & had me almost convinced lol…. but I Dont want to be short changed seeing our CS dating- I’ll cry if they go from friends to husband & wife in less than 10eps 😉

And it’s often confusing when I meet friends close to mom, to differentiate who is a relative and who isn’t. But anyway, what that means generally, is that any elder you meet (doesn’t even matter if you are blood-related), you still refer to the female elders as ‘auntie’ and the men as ‘uncle.’
Glad I’m not the only one who grew up with this happening LOL My family is mostly Kiwis (New Zealanders), but my mother refers to her close friends as our ‘aunties’ & ‘uncles’. Despite all but 1 of my 4 siblings being ‘step siblings’, we NEVER refer to each other as ‘step’ anything! In fact none of us clicked to actually being “step brothers & sister” until around 14-15yrs old lol
As for me I cant have children (chances are so low as to be next to impossible), so any kids I do eventually have will most likely be fostered/adopted & those kids will be loved as my own flesh & blood period- that’s just how I roll (my poor cat is my stand in ‘toddler’ atm lol). Any adopted/fostered children will be raised as “brother/s & sister/s” as thats how it should be imo.
You might want to add ‘long term relationship’ &/or ‘dating’ to the relationship options @Obisgirl.
I guess you could also include something like ‘were you raised in whole, blended or broken family’ as well- since that seems to play a large part in ‘shipping’ from what I can tell- other wise I dont fit the CS shipper profile at all lol (only had the one love/1st love, been single since/not in a relationship, no kids & early 30’s- the only thing I have going for me is coming from a broken & blended family lol)
The Sweet 16 is over and we managed to make it out by the skin of our teeth! Unfortunately we lost a man this round but a lot of Oncers from all the ships tried scrambling at the last moment to save them it just wasn’t enough :/ Elite 8 starts at 10amPST that’s 1 EST or 5pm GMT this is the toughest round any of the teams will have so we need to get started early
Oh crud I totally forgot about it! Will pop over to vote now- it’s a shame we lost a ship 🙁
And regarding Hook & Henry…I have a child and am technically part of a ‘traditional’ family as I am married to my husband who is also my baby daddy. But that doesn’t mean I want myself and my husband to be the only adult role models in my child’s life! The adage “it takes a village to raise a child” is true – and it only benefits the child to have many adults to look up to. Especially at that critical pre-teen/teenage point, when the last people a kid wants to defer to is their parents. I would love to see Henry and Hook bond before CS is established as a real relationship, and see Hook come to care for Henry as much as he does Emma. I don’t think this is my any means diminishing Neal’s role in Henry’s life – he is Henry’s father and always will be. Hook is simply another male there for Henry to go to and look up to, someone who cared deeply for Henry’s father when Neal was close to Henry’s age
Yes indeed. I have 2 sons and my husband and I work excessively – the more positive role models the better. The more people keep and eye on them, influencing them, keeping them busy and out of trouble the better. And you are so right… its forever ago but I remember confiding in my aunt but i would never ever think to tell my mom such things. We all go through phases like that. And with the wacky world that is EF/SB I think Henry can use plenty of ears to bend – especially one that is not a parent. And Hook would be a great sounding board for Henry…with 300 years under his belt, he has walked the straight and narrow, he has veered way off course to the dark and lonely chase after vengeance, he has played adversaries and allies alike, strived towards redemption, gone on a hero’s quest and saved the damsel – that turns him down repeatedly. What doesn’t he have experience with. I can see him being easy to talk to for Henry, being approachable and non judge-mental.
