Along the same lines (and this is the part I don’t like posting) they know the media and fans are happily snapping away when they film. What if they have decided to just allow all these pictures to end up out there and let them be. Kind of like “You want spoilers? Fine, have spoilers. You want to know what happens in advance. Fine figure out what happens in advance.” Because, really, they don’t OWE us spoilers. They don’t OWE us an explanation for every picture we see. They don’t have to explain to us which spoiler pictures they may or may not be using, which are authentic, which are BTS, etc. So I guess I’m not saying that A and are are lying about anything but I think they may be attempting to let people realize what can happen when they get too exuberant about spoilers and media/fan pictures. Kind of like a very strong message: have all the fun you want in your quest for spoilers, pictures, etc. but please believe us now – if you don’t hear it directly from us – do NOT believe it is happening, even if you see it. I am guessing that goes for all those actor and media interviews as well. They have said before that things get twisted around or misquoted, Adam just said they were still tweaking things AFTER they did the pre-screening for the media, the actors film things and they don’t necessarily know what is going to make it into the final version and what isn’t. I thought it was interesting that in the Wicked Special Ginny said that until the episode was filmed neither she nor Lana understood WHY the Evil Queen hated Snow so much so they watched the episode and cried together and then it affected how they acted together from then on out. So even the actors don’t always know MAJOR things in advance so they don’t always know when it might not be appropriate to go with the way something might feel right in the moment when they are filming something.

Yeah, those are my thoughts as well- hence my “A&E deliberately setting the fandom up to suck eggs for going on & on ‘about whats coming’ when taking filming (‘spoilers’) out of context” comment. The “sad if it’s true” part, is not that I thought they’d ‘stoop’ to doing something like that, but it’s sad that they’ve been PUSHED into doing it by the stupidity of a certain section of the fandom! It’s also sadly other (more respectful) sections of the fandom that also get disappointed/ let down in this tactic though, which again is sad.

I wasnt saying they are wrong or bad for doing it (IF that is indeed what happened), I actually “get” why they’d do it….. if I’m honest, it’s something I’d do myself (although I’d have used less contentious topics- like do ‘fake’ death scenes etc 😉 ).

I really love the way it seems to be shaping up. So we all know Hook loves Emma – but as of right now he doesn’t fit her definition of ‘home’. She is thinking ‘home’ is the perfect life she thought she’d have with Walsh. Now since THAT didn’t work out, she thinks she is destined to never find it. It seems to jive with what A&E said – she doesn’t know what home is because she’s never had it. If this half of the season is her realizing that he CAN be her home – bring it on!! I don’t care if it takes all 11 episodes! I want to get all of your opinions on this too. My dh casually watches sometimes, so I asked him if he thought Emma and Hook would get together, be TL, etc. His thought was that getting them together by the end of Season 3 is too early and wouldn’t leave enough drama for future seasons. Arguments for this? I truly can’t imagine where Season 4 will go…

Well, A&E did break the original curse end of S1, which was a bold move & I thought for sure we’d get at least 2 seasons before that happened!

Honestly, I think Emma needs to ‘choose’ who she wants to be with BEFORE 3b finishes.

Now Emma choosing, doesnt mean we see necessarily them ‘together’ as such by end of 3b, but we as audience members, we AT LEAST need to see her decide who she wants to be with (be that Neal, Killian or a flippn flying monkey! Newest crack theroy main cast member death, is by being turned into a monkey 😉 ), so the show can focus on how she goes about that & the main plot of the “finale battle happening” (that better not be a pilot plot hole either! i actually have been waiting to see the “finale battle begin”, since the original curse was broken, but so far we’ve mostly just watched everyone run around saving SB &/or family members- or killing off family members… not really how I’d expect a “finale battle” to begin lol :p )

Hi Guys, logging in late to say, what a GREAT ep! I must admit I was very excited before I went to come on here- long story short I have the worst timing possible, as happened to go to log on, just as a hard core CS poo-pooing was taking place, so decided not to bother even logging in & participating after all, as it totally killed my buzz for the show today 🙁

It’s sad, as I personally already visit this site way less than I used to & most of that is down to feeling I cant leave the CS thread & actually have an open discussion, without walking on egg shells, yet feel expected to ‘deal’ with being told how great another ship is over & over again. I’m really sorry if this is coming of ‘rant’ like- it’s not meant to be, I just was a little (…ok, a lot) annoyed at having my buzz over the show killed, when all I had wanted to do was freak out with my ship mates & I hoped others fans outside of our ship for a change (since I liked sooo much of this ep, that wasnt ship related at all!)

Thank you @MatthewPaul & @RumplesGirl for letting us know it is being dealt with, hopefully that’ll be the end of it for awhile 🙂 Glad to hear you enjoyed Killian & Emma’s moments too. I hope we get another Once love day soon, as there is so much more to discuss about our beloved show than ‘ships’ & I really miss doing so!

Now about the ep!….. Aside from LOVING IT 😉 I have to admit as much as I loved our CS moments (WHHHHHHHYYYYYYY did they cut our hug?!?!?!?!?!?!?! It would have been the PERFECT follow up in the “Hook”, “Did you miss me” moment- that screamed ‘hug’ through the emotions! Naughty editing IMO or A&E deliberately setting the fandom up to suck eggs for going on & on ‘about whats coming’ when taking filming (‘spoilers’) out of context- which is all kinds of sad if it’s true :/Or we see it in a flash back later on- Ok, that’s out right grasping I know, but I can dream cant I?! lol :p Anyways I’m digressing!) I LOVED the Snow & Regina stuff just as much, maybe just a tad more (shock horror! But it could simply be because we pretty much knew everything that was going to go down with CS weeks before we got to see the ep, so it was almost like a re watch of those scenes, as AWESOME as they are! 😉 ), I think that the Snow & Regina ‘heartache’ moment was the highlight for me ….. ok, so is Killian’s “Why are YOU dressed like THAT” line & Emma calling Killian, “Killian” (finally- still getting mega feels over that <3 ) they are kind of all tied for top spot as the ep's highlight.... along with all the Killian & Henry parallels we got bashed over the head with this ep- the near constant sense of deja vu watching this ep was uncanny- it was like Killian was SB Henry & EF Charming rolled into one LOL.

Personally my top spots for CS moments are not contained in this ep- I'm not sure what the over hype about the moments were for, as most of them had Killian wondering if Emma felt anything for him at all tbh, part of me was heart broken for Killian, while totally understanding why he cant just come out & ask her if she feels anything for him other than 'friendship'. I hope that gets addressed sooner rather than later (I'm talking in terms of "good", not exchanges of I love you's- as it's way to soon for that!), as I cant stand seeing someone being lead on (although I totally get that Emma is focused on seeing her parents & finding out what on earth is going on in SB this time)

Also I HAVE to point out how despondent Killian  became without Emma (I would have been shocked if he just happily flounced around EF with the Charming's, but I was disappointed with Charming for not recognizing Killian's withdrawal for what it really is, has Killy not proven to them already on more than one occasion, that he has actually changed- Charming should know more than anyone how it feels to be parted from the women you've fallen for! & it's not like he doesnt know Killian & Emma share a bond & maybe more- he 'knows' & accepted killian's secret of having 'feeling's' for Emma & know's Emma kissed Killian, so she must feel 'something' in return), the thought of never seeing Emma again- of knowing that finding her is considered 'impossible', had him fleeing all reminders of her in favor of walling his feelings back up & loosing himself to his pirate persona to cope with it all- I mean he feels Emma is his TL & look at what Snow said about going on without Charming, would we all blame her if she wanted to ditch the kingdom & go bandit to cope with the loss of Charming?!

I wouldnt be surprised if we find out part of why Killian goes off, is to search for away to get back to Emma. IF he gets wrapped up in WWW, that could be how it happens- I dont know if he'd 'do a deal' with her to get to Emma or not, but I highly doubt he'd knowingly put her parents in harms way to get back to her (he DIDNT take up Pans offer of free passage off the island WITH Emma, so why would he risk harming her parents, knowing Emma wouldnt approve- that just screams ignoring canon fact to me), I do however KNOW he'd play WWW for the 'chance' to get back to Emma (Snow did say to Emma "happy endings always start with hope" & since Killian feels Emma is his TL, he'd logically think the only way to HEA, is with her & would therefore have to "hope" to find away back to her again) & I think that's the most likely interaction we'll see between the two of them- or something along those lines & that's only IF he meets up with WWW before coming to our world- for all we know Killy came back in a magic side-table, that only takes one pirate *cough*& a Pegasus egg*cough*, while Charming was fighting off flying monkeys one handed, with a spoon :p & wont meet the WWW until after he's brought Emma back to SB (It's just as likely to be true as some of the crazy theories I've seen thrown about lol)

& can I just say- Emma & David at the door- *dies of feels* (I've not had a father since I was 2-3yrs old, so all my lost daddy/daughter moments are live through Emma & David lol)

Ohhhhh I just had a thought- What if Emma’s moving on so quickly after getting her new memories (because she meet the new guy & started going out with him, with-in 4mths of being cursed), is to do with the fact that Emma had ALREADY started to move on from Neal & was getting ready mentally & emotionally to accept Killian! I know it’s a bold statement to make, but lets look at the facts-

Emma’s goodbye/”Good” to Hook, was a Big thing for her- I mean who else has Emma ENCOURAGED to think & therefore pursue her? ….. NO ONE- Not Neal, Not Graham, Just Killian.

Neal Example- When Neal said he wouldnt stop fighting for her ( o.O ) did she say “Good”/ actively courage his decision? Nope, she border line rolled her eyes & gave an exasperated sigh, she tried to shut him down.  She could have said “Good” to Neal when he said ‘he’d find away to get back to them’ at their goodbye, but she DIDNT, she walked away.

 

Graham Example- She got totally ticked off at Graham for kissing her & shut him down (she REFUSED to kiss him/think about him like ‘that’, until he ditched Regina).

 

Hook/Killian Examples- Hook she chose to kiss, Hook she got jealous over (when he & Tink ran out of Granny’s together), Hook she turns to for advice/his opinion on stuff, Hook she leans on for support (the only male outside of her family she actually does that with).

Hook she gave hope for THEIR future together, by telling him she thought it was “Good” that he wouldnt let a day pass, without thinking of her.

 

So it’d make perfect sense that Emma’s subconscious has already “moved on” from Henry’s father when she received her cursed memories, since she had emotionally already started to move on (Emma WOULD NOT give someone false hope, she wouldnt encourage Hook unless she was getting ready to accept them- ie. When she told MM to go to David, as he had “made his choice to be with her/MM”). It also explains why Emma would move on so quickly (meet someone & be in a relationship with-in 4mths at the longest)[spoiler].

Also how is cursed Emma ‘happily’ [spoiler]dating  ( from all accounts, what seems to be a ‘flying monkey’ ), IF Neal is her ‘supposed’ TL???? How is that ‘great’ for SF? MM wasn’t happily in a relationship while cursed, David wasnt happily in a relationship while cursed- yet Emma is happily (from all accounts to date) in a relationship while cursed & Neal was happily in a relationship with another women while not cursed- I just dont get the whole SF=TL thing. None of their (SF) relationship = TL as the show has thus far portrayed it IMO.

On the other hand, I find it interesting that Hook/Killian is the one in NY to convince her & the one Emma feels a “pull/drawn” towards/”connection with” *cough Snowing/MM-David parallel cough*.                                 I mean who would listen to a stranger clad in black leather, decked out in rings etc. claiming to ‘know you’ & follow his advice to visit some random apartment, AFTER he’s already turned up at your door, ranting about your (long lost) ‘parents being in danger/needing your help’ & planting a kiss on you, forcing you to knee him in his ‘crown jewels’ & choosing not to call the cops?                                                            That connection we’ve been bashed over the head with since S2- is in play BIG TIME! The look on her face when she slammed the door on him & at the table, screams she feels a “pull/drawn/connection” to this weird stranger- why would she even entertain the idea, let alone allow a weird/lacking in personal boundaries/way to familiar stranger, to actually gate crash her date night, if she didnt feel a strong/deep, pull/connection to him/Killian- IMO, she wouldnt.

You know I don’t get the whole “Hook’s redemption storyline is going way too fast”, even from a purely storyline perspective. Why does every villain have to have a long and drawn out redemption arc? I am also hearing that people are hoping that the WWW is going to REMAIN evil because they are tired of all the villains turning “good.” I actually agree, but that’s also why I don’t understand why Hook can’t be a character who literally met his true love, realized that he no longer wanted to be the villain he became, and decided to go back to the person he used to be. His storyline is unique in that he is having to convince people that he is NO LONGER a villain as opposed to one who is struggling with whether he wants to be one or not. Without differing villain storyline this show would get old really fast. That’s why, as horrendous as Pan was, his villain story was unique – he literally had no redemptive qualities at all – even right up until the end, unlike Cora right at her death, he was still evil. Both Emma and Hook are fiercely loyal to their families – unfortunately their definition of “family” has not been traditional because of the events that have unfolded in their lives. They both made choices that have negatively affected their lives because of being “left” by people they loved and considered their family (whether by choice or not). Everyone on this show has their own “path” to a happy ending. Just like in real life, some people “get it” faster than others when they realize they need to turn their life around and make some major changes. Some people are literally able to wake up one day and, cold turkey, realize what they need to do and never look back again. Some people struggle for years and NEVER get there. I don’t see why the show shouldn’t portray anything different.

I was going to say something very similar, with the identical point as your post- but you’ve said it so much better than I could have- wish we had a ‘like’ tab or favorites tab, so we could revisit our fav posts. We have some very onto it people in our thread & I saw a couple of very well thought out posts the couple of times I visited the SF thread.

I actually wouldnt mind reading the SF thread myself (some of those shippers are very articulate people), but I think I’ll leave it until AFTER Season 3 has finished, for obvious reasons 😉

Specifically I think????? – 1. Barbara Barnett (BB) has been very hard on Hook in the past, but she liked him in this episode. Clearly, our boy is doing well if he’s swaying people who haven’t liked him before.~~~~~~ 6. “Sparky chemistry” between Hook and Emma.~~~~~~~ 17. BB now says she can be convinced of Captain Swan, after seeing this episode. She really liked him in this episode; very dashing and persistent and the pivotal character in a lot of the episode—his actions cause more things to happen than most…… CS moves the story and she really loved their interactions. ~~~~~~~~ 18. We don’t found how/when Hook came back for Emma yet/got to NYC, at least not in this episode. ~~~~~~~~ 21. Hook and Charming have a great scene together that has to do with a horse. (“Use your imagination, knowing this is a family show.”) (A couple of great scenes actually) ~~~~~~~ 22. We see Hook react to Walsh and they have a scene together. Hook is of course jealous, though he won’t admit it. ~~~~~~~~~~ 41. There are several favorite CS moments, there’s a good Rumbelle moment, but it’s minor. There’s a lot of pining on Neal’s part, ST wise. Best relationship stuff is between Hook and Emma.

……. I could be wrong though 😉
