@obisgirl – are you serious?! That is insanity on a whole new SCARY level. It’s a tv show people! Yes, it makes you happy, sad whatever – that’s what it’s supposed to do, it’s kinda the point of art – but to make things so personal or to think something like death threats are ‘amusing’ is disturbing.

[adrotate group="5"]I read some really disheartening stuff on my tumblr. One of my fellow CS ‘shippers has been getting repeated death threats from anons. I’m like ?! This is taking the ‘shipper wars to a dangerous low. No matter the differences we have and there likely going to be there for a long while, fans should NEVER, EVER send death threats to each other. I feel very protective of all my CS ‘shipmates, so it just boggles my mind when there’s a fan or two out there who does this. Thankfully, this seems to be only isolated on tumblr but this is just, really unacceptable behavior in general. If your ‘shipper life is dependent on what goes on in a TV show that you fail to see how and why this is wrong, you need to stop watching the show and do something else with your life. No show is ever worth sending death threats to other people across the internet. I hope everyone understands this.
SERIOUSLY?! I agree with you whole heartedly- Its a friggn TV show- this person, whom ever it is, needs to turn off their television, go out side & get a life of their own- holy cow, death threats because someone likes a different ship than they do?!?!? That just blows my mind o.O

Yeah that’s why I don’t get people who decide just to watch for one ship I love the show first and after that I go CS crazy.
I guess I can understand those people, as I feel like I’ve been in that position in S2.
I LOVED S1- I didnt actually ‘ship’ anyone as such & was sad when Emma lost Graham, but I didnt ‘ship’ her with anyone.
S2 started off FANTASTIC, I loved it, but it got old fast for me personally, as the storyline got very messy & often very repetitive, it had lost a lot of its oomph IMO–aside from the CS & Charming family stuff, I wasnt interested in the show much at all in S2 (I started off loving Regina, then got sick of her character ‘flip-flopping’, what felt like every other ep.) & I did actually stop watching until Hook returned (I think there was just to much action & not enough character building last season), so in essence CS & Charming’s kept 1st watching the show & then they are what brought me back to the show, to go into s3
S3 I’m loving, not just because of all the CS stuff we have been lucky enough to have, but because they’ve given us more character building eps- for EVERYONE! Just like we had in S1. If I wanted to watch people run from one ‘we’re all gonna die’ problem to another, I’d watch a much better cgi show 😉 What I love about once is the characters- they even have me back on board with Regina in a big way this season & have piped my interest in RH, I feel we have enough time spent building on our main characters, to actually enjoy many of the minor characters stories being built on again as well, because we actually get time to see how everyone is feeling & coping etc. between the action.
So yeah I get why some people ‘just’ watch for a ship/s now. I just wish that IF people CHOOSE to only watch for their ship/s, that they deal with the fact that their chosen ships may not always be together & they in fact, may not be watching for long or until the end of the series IF they CHOOSE to watch the show for that reason alone. It’s the same with hating on something/someone- it’s a CHOICE people make, they either choose to act on the positive or they choose to act on the negative.
I love this confession so much. I mean, really, if everyone in the OUAT fandom had this attitude about love life, there would be fewer ‘shipper wars, less hate and peace everywhere! Even as a CS ‘shipper, I want Emma to end up with someone who makes her happy. I just really don’t see how that person is Neal when he’s responsible for so much pain in her life and she’s already confronted that pain and doesn’t want to feel that way anymore. Her confession in Ariel is a stepping stone towards Emma finding her own happy ending, emphasis on ‘own‘ happy ending. That reminds me of an interview Jen gave: “I think, ultimately, she is the product of true love, so genetically her makeup is going to want to find her own true love. What I’ve tried to maintain within her is that there is always this flame of hope, even if it’s the tiniest flame. Even though she is so guarded and protected, there is this little flame, and you see glimpses of it at times with the Sheriff and with Hook.” Agreed!

I just had a thought- this ‘spoiler of doom’, is about as big of a secret/suprise as Neal being Bae, being Henry’s dad was tbh lol 😉
The thing that bugs me about the ‘over promotion of Hook’ thing- is how do these people know it’s an ‘over’ promotion? How do they know that the story isnt going to narrow down & focus more Emma & by extension Hook over the coming season/s? If Hook sells, they will & should use him to gain more viewers (& by extension fans) for the show! People should be Happy that Once is being advertised so much, if it wasn’t, it’d probably be on it’s last legs already :/ Cant please everyone 😉
I think Hook is reaching or even surpassed Rumple’s fan numbers lol 😉
