Popping out of lurkdom to vote for keeping this thread as is- we dont need another one & speaking from personal experience, going to look for info in a dead thread is a total pain in the acre & usually, it eventually results in it just being painful trying to locate the ‘original’ dead thread- esp if trying to locate early days of the ship stuff 🙂
I hadn’t heard the ‘Emma in NY due to Beanstalk/NL adventure with Hook’ theory- that’s a different take on it, but as hard as I ship CS, I think it’s a bit of a stretch for me to buy into at this stage 😉
[adrotate group="5"]Totally agree with @rumplegoldfan That was my thought exactly- it’ll be a subplot wedding, which serves to drive main characters plots forward …. & it’s Once, something ‘drastic’ will happen before/during/after, which will cliff hanger the season for us & leave us all dying to know what happens next lol 😉
The only reason I’m not sure on Rumbelle wedding, is it would seem like Once is wrapping up in the next season or so- with all our ‘bad guys’ then being ‘good guys’ & so the long awaited ‘finale battle’ will begin (I assume)- which given A&E history, wont be dragged out over 3-4seasons…. sooooo, yeah- I’m all for Ariel/Eric, Aurora/Phillip, Mulan/?, Neal/?, Tink/? etc

Agreed that Neal ‘has’ to be someone other than ‘just’ Rumple’s son & Henry’s dad- I mean even Emma is the “savior” on top of being Emma/Snowings daughter & Henry’s mother. Whether that’s the WoO or not, I dont know- but it is an interesting proposition to ponder on anyway.
I’m in total agreement that so far Neal’s story has pretty much been ‘boring’ – it’s just there & he seems to be being used as the plot device to end all plot devices…. He needs a real story, told from his pov- the only Neal centric story we’ve had to date, was to do with him & his father reconciling- in fact ALL Bae/Neal centric stuff has been father/son stuff to date- Neal is only marched out for Henry & Emma’s stories when there’s a need for a convenient plot device …. Neal needs his own tune to march too IMO.

Awesome @Jenna_B & @obisgirl, I’ll certainly pop in the thread tomorrow if thats the case, hopefully the tide will continue to turn & the majority of less than ideal ship posturing will cease with 3B.
Also agree @Jenna_B about us enjoying poking fun at our selves & our ship- I mean Flook must be almost as well loved as CS is among us CS’ers…. I keep waiting for an ‘official’ Flook fanvid to pop up lol Maybe I’ll have to set aside a couple of hrs to make one before 3B airs, wish I’d thought of doing it over Christmas now!
Maybe we need an anti shipping thread on here? Someplace where ship talk is NOT allowed- at all, then it’d be ‘safe’ for those of us who want to just talk Once…. although, I guess Hook bashing isnt meant to be happening, but it still does…soooo, maybe it wouldnt work.
I hope wed do stelio, it would have been great if it was Emma’s Bdy when Hook arrived lol
Honestly I’ve given up on chat, I must be a known “CS Shipper” as not even a “Hi” gets a response & my user name has nothing to do with CS or Hook etc lol. If they cant even try to be friendly, why bother- there loss not mine,I can talk to you all in here, although I do miss the speculation on future eps in general & miss talking to Snowing fans (I love those 2 😀 ) & I want to talk more with Evil Regals & their thoughts on OutlawQueen (Sorry if thats not the ‘official’ shipping name) & honestly I want to talk more with Rumbelle & Nealfire fans- like most of us here, Neal has grown on me, when he’s not wanting to get back with Emma, I’m interested in his story & I want to chat with them about how they think Neal finds Rumple- if he & Belle work together etc. Very little (out side of Outlaw Queen ), is actually shippy, but it feels like there’s nowhere ‘safe’ for these convos now, aside from here, esp if you happen to mention Hook, or you know ‘like’ Hook/Killian as a character (ie. HE having to come chat in the CS thread, despite not shipping it herself) & that is not the purpose of this thread……
Maybe we should try start an anti bashing/shipping general discussion thread (with the main rule being – you cant say something positive, dont say anything at all- no shipping, just general Once chat in a contained thread, so it’s easier to keep track of & police if required- maybe thats what is needed to help reunite some of the rift that has sprung up in the fandom this season, a place to talk about things Outside of ships 😉 )

I actually have a question that’s been bugging me for a while. In Dark Hollow Hook said to Emma about the kiss: “Because I was hoping it meant something.” And she responded with “What meant something, was that you told us Neal was alive.” Now, SF are saying that this means that the kiss meant nothing to Emma. And you guys have never actually talked about it here! Any insights into what Emma meant?I think the reason Emma responded the way she did was because it actually spoke volumes more than just saying “the kiss meant something.” 3×01: Emma and Hook below deck, commiserating about Neal. Emma realizes how much Bae meant to Hook. 3×04 (I believe): Emma & Hook in the cave; Hook is talking about Bae getting his drawing skills from his mother, et al. Emma realizes there’s a lot to Neal she didn’t know, AND she’s impressed by Hook’s fond memories of Bae and the emotions those memories incite. “What meant something, was that you told us Neal was alive.” Emma points out she’s aware Hook could’ve kept that secret and didn’t. To me, what Emma’s doing, is saying “Yes, the kiss meant something – it ALL meant something.” It’s more than the kiss. It’s her first acknowledgment to Hook that she’s seeing him, she’s realizing who he is, and that she’s starting to feel something for him, and even his actions that have nothing to do with Emma are WHY the kiss “meant something”. She didn’t need to spell it out because by mentioning Hook’s actions regarding Neal actually tells Hook everything he needs to know. I think the kiss makes Emma well aware of her feelings – heck, the girl can’t even walk away without stumbling all over herself! And the ‘as you wish’ – we all know she was thinking PRINCESS BRIDE PRINCESS BRIDE! Girly feels! haha. And I think the conversation Emma and Hook have in Dark Hollow is Emma’s conscious decision to let herself fall for Hook. Sigh. Swoon. Sigh. Can you tell that conversation is my favorite part of S3 so far? I dare say, even MORE than the kiss!! Although the kiss is a VERY close 2nd!!
I’m with you there! Love the Kiss, but boy oh boy, did their little ‘chat’ have me swooning & sighing- their expressions, the way they speak to each other with not just words, but their eyes too 😀
