We are very much a ship and let ship even if that ship is no ship forum. We believe in respect–FOR ALL IDEAS, BELIEFS, AND INTERPRETATIONS–above else. Therefore, imagine my surprise, horror, anger, and downright HURT when the first thing I discover this morning while doing my morning forum check are posts/posters calling the other side “stupid” and “jackass” which goes against the ship and let ship AND the respect rule to such an absurd extent that I am currently having trouble forming words. PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME HOW CALLING SOMEONE STUPID OR A JACKASS IS KEEPING INLINE WITH THE RULES OF THIS FORUM

 

RG I didnt, nor haven’t called anyone in THIS forum (or ANY other) a JackAss or Stupid for shipping what they ship at all!

I posted the pics in response to people getting upset over having HATRED spewed at them for THEIR own ship/character beliefs etc- Not because others ship differently! I’d tell anyone the same thing- no matter what their ship is!

I have not once called anyone stupid etc for believing what they want & never will, BUT there is a MASSIVE difference to believing something different than another person & going on the attack & bashing fans & the characters they love for believing what they want- as seems to be the case on tumbler (& many other fansites- I got a good taste of it last night on FB) ATM & is what the images are a direct response to- someone coming in here after they’ve been attacked by THAT KIND OF HATER! Not simply another ship or fan who ships something differently (ie If I heard a SF/ST shipper had received the same treatment- not that I read ANY ST/SF posts though, I’d have offered the same advice- dont argue with them, they’ll drag you down & beat you, because they dont care if they hurt other people, they only care about being ‘Right’ or ‘winning’).

I kind of feel like I’ve been pounced on here- I havent (as far as I know) done anything wrong now or before now!? (If ‘JackAss’/Donkey is considered an offensive term, then I’m happy to remove it, but I thought it would be fine given similar terms used in other threads/posts here :/ ) & that I am the one coping the flack of people mud flinging “over” the triangle right across the site, when I’ve only posted in this thread since my return :/

LOL – love those @surayya! Let them hate, we know who’s going to win out in the end! I don’t intentionally read their stuff, but they come over to CS shippers on tumblr and spew their hate everywhere and make genuinely stupid arguments (I heard some of them were saying that Neal was the Westley to Emma’s Buttercup???? WHAT? No doubt threatened over the comparison WE made of the flower tattoo. Idiots) and contradict themselves, ignore dialogue in scenes, ignore things stated IN CANON and by writers and actors and generally just behave badly. I just honestly wonder how we’re all watching the same show sometimes. Even though we know what’s going on tonight, SO EXCITED because we seem to be missing some key points in the recap. Also, tones of voice, body language, facial expressions…. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

 

Wow, they really do that?! That’s seriously sad- on so many levels. I’m outright ashamed of the fandom sometimes & sadly this seems to be going the way of the SQ debacle again. I cant understand why people just cant ship & let ship- it’s insane to spew hate over a TV show- love what you love, don’t taint what you love by hating apart of it :/ I really feel for Adam, Eddy & the cast after every ep- they get hate from 2 sides now the septic SQ’ers & the septic ST/SF fans … I’d hope there isnt any or many septic CS fans out there atm! Cant wait for tomorrows ep either, I want to see it all play out! The buttercup flower thing fits so perfectly (if that is what is, which seems a given at this point- due to all the PB parallels) & it’s pretty much nailed CS ship firmly into endgame for me now 🙂

I REALLY dont see Emma’s Bug as a SF thing- it was almost more payment for services rendered (like this is to make up for sending you to jail, so I dont have to feel so guilty about it). A gift is a gift, sure SF might have shared moments in it, but it is not some massive SF beacon. It is simply Emma’s mode of transport, it is not some big massive symbol of SF

Realistically, I doubt she’d be able to trade it in for something ‘better’ & lets face it- Bug’s are cool! Esp Yellow ones, so why should she lol 😉

If anything her Bug would more likely symbolize the fact that ALL she has left from her relationship with Neal was pain, the loss of her son, no hope of finding love again & that people cant be trusted- she wasnt with Neal for more than a yr, but she’s had the bug for over a decade living with all those negative emotions about Neal- so yeah, to me the Bug is just a car- nothing more, nothing less.
