That’s an awesome list though. I started rewatching from season 1 last week so I’ll definitely be looking out for these and more. 8)
Lol, yes, that would be awkward, but I get the feeling that Charming & Killian will be easy friends eventually, both are ‘what you see is what you get’ however both have a great capacity for extreme depths of love 🙂 & we’ve heard the saying ‘you marry your parents’ ie daughter tend to marry men like their fathers & Killian is very very much like Charming – way more so than Neal has been portrayed on the show IMO.

I’m sure I have missed stuff- I have a nagging feeling there is stuff from the 1st half of S1 that parallels with SC, but not in a hurry to re watch right now – I think I’m done watching TV for the moment lolHi guys 🙂 Wow plenty has gone on while I’ve been out of action (note to self- NEVER go back to work just because you ‘feel’ better- actually ‘get’ better 1st, had worst 4days ever & almost ended up in hospital :/ hence being so late in posting ‘the list’ 😉 ).
This is by no means complete, because I was already part way through S2 when I thought about doing it- I’m a little ‘Onced’ out atm (44eps in 7-8 days will do that to you lol), so wont re-do/add to the list until I re-watch the series again- maybe in a month or 2.
List #1 Direct Snowing & Captain Swan Parallels:
- 01. Snow ties Charming to a tree when he interferes with her mission (he calls out her name) = Emma chains Hook to wall when she fares she cant trust him with her mission (he calls out her name)
02. Charming tries to reason with Snow not to continue with her mission & to let him help her = Hook tries to reason with Emma to let him help her with her mission.
03. Snow steals Charming’s jewels, he wrestles her to the ground, she knocks him out & takes the jewels = Hook steals the compass, Emma & he dual, Emma knocks him out & takes it.
04. Charming traps Snow in order to retrieve the jewels she took from him = Hook helps trap Emma to get the compass she took from him.
05.Charming snatches the vial of ‘evil’ fairy dust away from Snow = Hook snatches the dried magic bean away from Emma.
06. Snowing went on ‘quest’ to get magical ring = Captain Swan went on ‘quest’ to get magical compass.

As I say, these are by no means complete yet- I’ll add to them on my re-watch or I’m happy to add any you guys have found in addition to the above (I have not included inside/ indirect parallels like the bean for instance- if anyone wants to make a list of those feel free 😉 other wise I’ll add that one to these 2 lists when I get around to making one). In the very least it will help those of you who get mobbed by SF fans, about there is nothing indicating CS or any parallels of note on the show & ‘it’s all in our heads’, that there is indeed plenty of direct indicators & parallels for the pairing whether they like it or not 😉@RumplesGirl wrote:

He knows who Ruby and Ella are because they are in the book and he’s read it. He hadn’t figured out that Ashely is Cinderella until her situation is pointed out, but he instantly figures out that she’s Ella. Same with Red/Ruby.
Rumple is in the book, but as a character in other people’s story: like in Ella’s story about the quill which was the first time we learned that Rumple was in the book *at all* for sure. And his ability to see the future is in the book, but that’s in the Snow/Charming story that we saw in the Pilot.
Rumple’s situation of being the Dark One manifests in our world as Gold being the most powerful man in town and if the story of the Dark One was in the book, Henry would have put 2 and 2 together. He’s very smart.
And I think this quote from Manhattan shows that Henry didn’t know about the circumstances surrounding Bae’s departure, which I think singles that the story of the Dark One isn’t in the book.Henry: You know… I forgave her. Emma – for giving me up. She thought it was the best for me then. That’s why she did it. I’m sure your son will get it, too.

We’ll have to disagree on that point with Henry, because his thoughts & feeling on the issues of abandonment are totally clouded by his on feelings- like when he talked with Jefferson (we all know he was right of course)- but he only thinks about how much he WANTED his parents in his life- he forgets he pushed Regina out in favor of Emma, because she was still around wanting him- yet he doesn’t register the difference. He only knows Rumples son loved him, when he went down the portal- he doesnt think ‘oh he might not feel the same as I do’ & therefore not want his parent back, he simply assumes that Rumples son like him WANTS his father in this life.
Yes, he is smart, but at the end of the day he is still only 10/11 & was living in the fuzz of the curse for those 10/11yrs- remember he tried to blow up magic with dynamite, bunked school, grabbed the steering wheel & caused a car to go off the road etc- he is still a kid & as I said, he was focused on his family more so than anyone else- it’s entirely possible that Rumples story was more obscure/harder to crack because he wasn’t the typical little imp creature he usually is & looks very different in FTL than in SB. My big point is that I don’t think putting Hook with Ariel means he’s leaving the show. I would wait to see how it played out. Hookriel is a fun crack ship 😆 and in my head I think it’s more likely he’ll be with someone else, one of the mains. It just depends on how H and K want to tell their story but I don’t think we should discount anything at this point.
Oh, yes I dont think Hookriel will = no more Hook at all (I’d hope), it’d probably just mean almost no Hook at all (after the NL story finished), aside from the odd pop in cameo (as has happened to all the other ‘HEA’ couples- ie Abigail, Hansel & Gretel, Cinders) & when it’s your fav character that may as well be gone for good 😉 🙁 I know not everyone can be kept, but anyone not heavily involved with our mains will be dropped at some point, in favor of new ‘regular’ cast, otherwise there are just to many toys in the play pen for a 40min ep to do justice with (I think of all the Belle fans sadness this season when she wasn’t around & then when she was around, wasn’t doing much more than hanging off of Rumple for a few mins every couple of eps). As I said I wouldn’t say yay or nay to Hookriel until after seeing how it plays out.

I doubt it would have stuck out- it’s not like he knew who Page (sp) was. He was focused on HIS family & getting people he already knew well in his life to remember- like the sheriff & Archie. He didn’t know who Ashley was until her circumstances got pointed out or Hansel & Gretel etc.
He had no idea who his father was only his mother because adult Bae wasn’t in the book, only that Rumple’s kid had gone to a land without magic- that could have been any land in Henry’s mind & it happened 300yrs (along time) ago. He didnt care about who Abigail was either, he just wanted MM & David together.
Beside why would he care about Rumple- our world had no magic until Rumple brought it here, so it wouldn’t have meant anything to him at all, he was just some guy who popped up in all the stories & had let his son go sometime in the distant past.@RumplesGirl wrote:

I think I said this a few pages back but if Ariel is in NL and in S3 then she won’t be fully developed until the second half. We may get an episode with her in it in the first 11 but she won’t have her own story until the second half.
Yes but 1) Rumple is one of the main 6- he’s not just a regular, which is what the rest of our reoccurring roles are- ie Belle, Grumpy, Granny, Ruby (used to be), even Hook, Neal etc. If Hook finds his TL & is only a regular (A&E have said over & over Emma,Snowing, Henry, Regina, Rumple are our mains- the rest are regular or supporting/guest stars), it’s unlikely we’ll have much focus on him at all- just the odd pop in when needed, as there will be other characters stories that need to be told & woven into the fold- esp when they leave NL.
2) Rumple is leaving Belle to die (as A&E confirmed in the last podcast), he doesn’t want Belle around to live for or protect (again they confirm this) & that’s the distinct difference- Rumple wouldn’t leave her there otherwise.Lol- it’s possible I’ve become wasted on cough drops & syrup & imagined it all 😉 However I remember seeing it & thinking- Oh that explains why the dagger is the worst kept secret in FTL, it bugged me that anyone aside from Bae would know considering who ever holds it controls Rumple & he murdered a mute maid because she ‘may’ have over heard him talking about it (aside from Bae telling Hook- but then he shouldn’t have said something along the lines of what dagger earlier in S2- though I suppose one could say he was playing dumb I guess). Besides why would Bae tell anyone else about the dagger after what happened with Hook- he knows what will happen if anyone gets that dagger.

The dagger is in the book- there is a picture showing it & Rumples story of how he became the dark one- I’ve just been watching S1 again 😉 It is also where August got his pic of the dagger from 😉
Bae is in the book to, so I wasnt surprised at all.Henry didn’t figure it out as he didn’t have the benefit of 1) Pino/August, who was living among everyone with their own history intact & 2) knowing/seeing Gold as a green scaly dude or rag bedecked, beggar looking guy from the book 😉
It would also explain why Snowing, Emma, Regina, Hook etc know about it- they all had access to the info in the book (Regina read it, Henry only removed the last pages about Emma- she told Hook & maybe Cora, if she didnt already know), Emma read it too, so it wasnt a big surprise for her or Snowing & honestly, somethings on the show are just plain convenient so storytelling sake (ie. the easily stopped Unstoppable fail-safe springs to mind) 😉
