But it still comes down to how did August knew it controled the dark one, he wasn’t around with Rumple was locked up everyone else was under the curse.

August knew about the dagger because HE HAD READ THE BOOK– remember he planted his own story in there after he stole it from Henry’s hiding place, so he knew all about it from there- if not before.
I highly doubt August & Neal knew each other from NL- it is likely August knew the stories in the book (FTL characters appear to be able to ‘see/find’ SB just not ‘real world’ people- as evidenced by Emma, August & Owen) & put 2 n 2 together, either way, I think A&E said we’ll get the story of how August knew who Neal was, maybe in S3- otherwise in a later season (they’ve also said we’ll find out who wrote the book etc as well, but didn’t give a time frame).

My plot holes include:
How did SB get supplies etc.if no ‘real world’ people could find SB- there’s no way they could have been totally self sufficient (cars, phones, computers, many types of refined/packaged grocery products, ipods/mp4 players etc- that all had to come from somewhere else)? (I know this is an ocd thing to bring up, but they could have laid off the hidden thing a bit- its not like that stuff pops up out of thin air & I have to over look that fact everytime I watch S1 now).
How Henry got into SB from the ‘real world’ if SB doesn’t even exist even on a map.
How did Henry even leave SB to go find Ema in the 1st place- it’s not like he caught the night bus outta SB, or hitched a ride? 😕 😕 😕
If Snow & Emma needed the compass in order for the FTL portal to send them to our world (I assume because they jumped in without a vessel), why then didn’t GOT need an indicator to get to NL? Or Bae to our world? *cough convenient cough* 😉

As hard as it is for me to say this, I really don’t want to see Ariel before we’ve had some of our other plot lines cleared up & maybe lost a few regular/guest characters, since we will be having 3way splits story wise for at least 1/2 the season (mix of FTL/SB/NL flash backs, present day FTL, SB & NL).The reason being, I really don’t want Ariel to be introduced & used like Belle has been (since Belle & Ariel are my fav disney princesses), with only a few mins of screen time every few eps for the most part.
While I don’t personally want Ariel & Hook together- I LOVE CS (& the concept art of ‘pirate like’ Emma for S1 is AWESOME) 😉 I’d have to wait & see how they interacted & their stories intersected on the show before I went there- I would like her to get her happy ever after with Eric, rather than not at all or a single one off story 😐

I do worry if they paired Hook with Ariel, if we’d get much more of him come S4 & honestly he’s my fav character, so a big part of why I watch the show at all- I’d be totally bummed out if that happened.
They wanted to use Hook in S1, but couldn’t due to rights issues, so I’d hate to lose him in S4- he’s the 1st ‘villian’ type I’ve instantly taken a liking to 😉

I’m still puzzling about why Rumpel’s curse is not broken. Back in Skin Deep, he started to kiss Belle and the curse started to fade. He kicked her out. Or did he have to physically hold his dagger once again in his hands to tap that power? Something of course, he didn’t get to do until after Snow used the candle, and Regina stuck Cora’s heart back. When Rumpel summons the wraith, he actually does take out his dagger to do that spell. So he may need to have the dagger near him in order to use some of its power.

Perhaps all Belle’s love has done is prevent the crocodile skin thing (the physical skin deep beast part of his curse)–which of course would save tons of time for RC on makeup.
Perhaps Regina was just wrong that TLK could break the Dark One’s curse entirely. After all, Emma’s TLK on Henry did not return them all to FTL or remove SB from Maine where it smooshed whatever random forest was there already.

Lol- you sound like me wondering how on earth SB got any supplies ie- grocery items, appliances (like MM Ipod/mp4 player), cars etc. & how Henry entered SB, if no one from our world could see or find SB- let alone how MM was going to be transported out of SB to be tried for murder lol (I guess Regina was just gonna kill her).

Wow, I’ve been taking note of all the direct Snowing/CS parallels & I’m up to 20 so far! Hook-Killian/Emma parallels is 12 & counting- not bad considering they’ve not had heaps of scene time together this season 😉

Just saw this Neal/Charming parallel on tumblr for Tallahassee- we’ve pretty much done the CS/Snowing parallels to death so I wont re-post those 😉 This parallel adds to CS, so those still unsure don’t panic 😉

celticmoonbeams: The flashbacks w/Neal clearly are for contrast w/Killian & showing why Emma does what she does in the end. Showing the emotional damage inflicted on her & establishing what she really needs. But, there’s also something else. Neal is Emma’s Abigail/Kathryn. Emma met Neal at a point in her life where she was just trying to survive like Charming was when Rumple came to his farm & got him to take the place of his dead twin brother. While Emma developed feelings for Neal, it was born out of necessity. Neal saving both of them from the cop, the Bonnie & Clyde act for survival, the wanting to settle down for a home in Tallahassee. All are parallels to the deal that Charming got into. To save the farm & kingdom (his home aka the settling down in Tallahassee & establishing a home), the gold promised for slaying the dragon (for the survival of the people of the kingdom & the farm aka the thieving for survival), the hand of Abigail thrown into the mix (a marriage/relationship that’s forged for said survival aka how Emma & Neal even met), the dream of Charming’s to marry for love & love alone (aka the dream of Emma’s for a home & the dreamcatcher). As it had been for cursed Charming where his relationship to Kathryn was based on duty, that’s the parallel to Neal. It’s based on the duty to Henry as Neal’s his father.

I hadn’t really thought about the flashbacks in this context, very interesting take on them 🙂
