There was also this interview :

TVLINE | Is the story moving forward about Emma coming around to Neal’s point of view on why he bailed on her back in the day? He’s laid out his case.
It’s a lot for her to take in all at once, and she doesn’t really have time to process any of it because so much happens so quickly, immediately after getting this information. I do think there is some sort of closure in her mind, having the explanation that he wasn’t just screwing her over. But that doesn’t change the fact that he still made a decision to not be with her, to allow her to suffer even more by letting her go to prison. In her mind, when there is love that was as true as what she had for him, you choose love. You don’t choose the person who comes to you and tells you, “Well, she’s got a job to do.” It’s why it’s hard for her to completely forgive her parents for giving her up, like she said early in this season. “Yes, you did what you thought was right for everyone else, but what about what was right for me? I would have been in a curse, but I would have been with you.”

JMO is saying pretty much what we’ve all being saying the whole time here 😉

TVLINE | That was a great point she made.
She seems to always be the victim of that particular circumstance, which is someone making a decision for the greater good and her having to serve the greater good, instead of anyone taking care of her or letting her take care of herself.

Again JMO on Emma’s POV, lines up exactly with our own & only increases my own CS shipping! 😉

TVLINE | Adam told me that Emma’s love life is going to become “really complicated” — care to elaborate?
I think it’s becoming incredibly complicated, incredibly slowly. Nothing happens quickly for Emma in love, unfortunately. Neal has someone in his life, so even though Emma’s saying she doesn’t care for him, you see that glimpse of, “Oh, I really don’t want to hear about this guy having someone he’s in love with.” In the meantime, obviously there’s always been a connection, some kind of “kindred spirit” element, between Hook and Emma.

Again this just confirms what we’d all been thinking all along.

TVLINE | Well, I was going to ask about Hook, because I know that while he comes with lots of baggage, here he is now, freshly betrayed by Cora and Regina. Maybe he’ll look to align with the forces of good for a bit?
I’ll be interested to see what happens with that, because we haven’t gotten to a point yet to see what that decision is. All we know is that Emma does definitely feel a connection to him because she also started out as a thief, she also started out as abandoned in certain ways, she also lost love at a young age…. They have all these things in common, so as much as she sees him as someone she needs to keep under control or keep away from her son for sure at this point, there’s an undeniable connection between them as well.

Well, now he has, it will be interesting to see how Emma reacts & interacts with Killian

This is were CS haters tick me off- everyone, A&E included have acknowledged their connection over & over again, it is there! Does it mean they WILL have a romantic relationship- no, but it is there & CS has hope because of it- the 1st thing required for a ‘real’ relationship is trust, it’s hard not to trust someone you have a strong connection too
Now I know the interview is old, but still- these are CLEAR points as to why CS has hope & in fact now has more than ever.

I found a number of tweet responses made by Adam re CS (SF fans wont like them, but THIS alone means CS shippers can & should have hope- it’s direct from Adams mouth/mind/fingers 😉 Nothing is canon until the creators say it is! )

& I found this little tidbit of ?foreshadowing? from S1 during my online searching as well 😉

I think Mark Isham is going to release another OUAT EP. Hopefully, the CS theme or whatever it is really called is included.

I’m keep all my fingers & toes crossed until its announced – it’d just be too cruel for them not to release one this yr 😉

Yep – we had blocks of episodes with & without many of our mains- that was one thing I REALLY disliked- I thoroughly enjoyed Regina’s stuff this season, at least in the beginning- but I did miss my favs when I hadn’t seen them for more than 2mins for 2 or 3weeks at a time 🙁 . I didn’t mind the 3 way storyline too much- which was meant to longer than it was! Only problem I had with it was there was like 15 subplots going & they tried to jam most of them into each episode regardless. When we focused on AFTL, the plot was way slowed down (to start with), so it was actually nice- then they started trying to do more ‘even’ splits in screen time & then increased the 3 storylines per episode (or maybe it just felt that way lol) & it all got very messy- so yep, I was glad when they went back to SB too! 😉

I wanted so much more of those wonderful S1 character moments, than we actually got in S2 & like I said, that was my biggest disappointment this season- I love the show because of the characters, not because of the magic or it being about fairytales etc. It’s the characters I’m invested in & have me tuning in week after week.

I think the best way I could describe S1 & S2 would be to say S1 was 1 major plot split over 22eps, with each ep containing many character arcs & mini storylines linking the episodes together & into the one major plot.
S2 was at least 5 major plots over 22eps, with each ep containing many subplots, some storylines & a few character arcs, with blocks of episodes linking together & into the major plots – so there was just too much all the time, with no time to really have characters grasping what was going on 🙁 I just hope they slow things down enough plot wise in S3, so we get more than a few mins of on screen character moments every couple of episodes- it’d be nice to feel sad or happy for someone on the show for more than a min before something major happens ie. someone or something trying to destroy them & we are thrown into action, what the what & action again 😉

Guys, guys, remember the CS theme I posted awhile back. We heard it again briefly in the finale, I think in Granny’s diner. Listen here.

Ugh! It’s times like this that I wish I had music/sound editing software to bring up fore, mid & background noises- then it’d be easy to superimpose one track over another or do side by side comparisons of the actual tracks without the voices- sounds like the same track to my ear … I just want a nice clean copy 😉 It’d also come in handy for those hard to pick out lines as well …. still not sure what exactly Emma shouts out as David rushes Hook when he grabs the bean in the diner as it’s tossed to her 😐

Totally agree with you guys- I’ve not being going on live chat because of all the shipping hate that pops up (I almost have a pathological need to fight for the underdog, so better I don’t go near those places anymore lol). Here’s hoping things settle during the break & we start S3 fresh with less hate & more tolerance!

I guess my question is: for those who though the season was bad: what were you hoping to see? Because I can guarantee that what you were hoping to see, someone else SAW. TV is subjective. No emotional development? I saw tons of it in Emma, Rumple, Belle, Ruby (in her episode, embracing her wolf side), Hook, and yes, Regina. Inconsistent plot? Not in my eyes. The entire plot of this season was “what happens when you bring magic to SB?” I think they answered that: bad things. Both from your previous land and from the outside. And I LOVED the twist at the end of this season. So that’s my overall point, TV is seen through an individual lens. And it’s perfectly fine to say that you didn’t see any of the stuff I just mentioned, but please remember that I–and others–saw it differently.

I guess more than what was shown 😉
I’m not saying this is what you, yourself are implying RG, but I don’t think it is fair to belittle what someone who didn’t think much of S2 thinks/feel, just because others loved it- we all have a right to think & feel the way we do about the show & I’d hope no one would be made out to be ‘less of’ just because the show didn’t live up to their own personal expectations- we all have opinions on the matter & we all just need to respect them either way.

With season 1, there was a clear objective that we as the audience knew from the getgo: make Emma believe. I think that’s why that season appeared more structured as we were in the process of watching it. The season 1 finale was a major gamechanger though, one we hadn’t necessarily seen coming, so we went into season 2 blind. K&H knew what the season 2 endgame was, but we didn’t really have a clear focus of that, so stuff along the way seemed more all over the place from our perspective. Personally, I was fine with that, because I was just enjoying the ride, no matter where it was taking me.

Actually they didn’t – in an interview with Megan (about why she wasn’t in the finale etc), she made it clear that A&E had a change in plans early in the season & ended up changing the whole middle & back half of S2- this could be why things started out so well & then as many felt, turned pear shaped, cramming episodes full of ‘stuff’ to get to where their new direction was taking them (which was so different from the original plan, that 1 regular pretty much is gone, as her story no longer had a place).

    I agree with Myril too.

Personally, I started out LOVING S2- I was obsessed with once during S1, so it didn’t take much lol … but had to take a break from the show about mid season for a while & come back to it as I was disillusioned & disappointed with the way things were going- It’s not that I didn’t care what happened at that point, because the problem was I did care lol (I felt the character development was stuttered & at times contradictory, some characters & situations became very plot devicey & OTT predictable with many a very “Oh, that’s convenient” moments {I didn’t really get too much of that from S1}, missing 1/2 the core cast for blocks of time 🙁 ,then at times the show just felt like each ep was 2-3mins with group A, then B & then C storylines, mention storylines E-I & add storylines X,Y,Z + include a 5min block of 1 main…it was just disappointing is all after the delicious, paced out, detailed character development of S1).
I think they really tried to fit too much into each episode (it almost felt like 1/2 the season was stuck in the middle part of a 3ep arc & they were all rushing around to set up the 3rd/finale ep….for 1/2 a season) & that’s what lead to a lot of the disappointment most people felt (at least it was for me anyway). I mean the whole reason that uber fans (rather than casual viewers)- love the show, is the Characters & their development, which went by the way side may times for the sake of another plot line- which is fine every now & again, just please not 1/2 the season at a time.

The best thing they did to keep me interested enough to stay with the show (thankfully for me! 😉 ), was introduce Hook – it was nice to have that mystery back when things got very stale & the awesome CS stuff in Tallahassee (it’s just a shame we didn’t get all we were meant to of Hook, given Colin’s broken leg- bring on S3!)

Over all I don’t think the season was awful (If I had to give it a rating for instance, I’d say 7/10) – it just wasn’t as great for me personally as S1 (10/10) was (& I’m pretty sure that is what most fans who didn’t enjoy this season as much as the 1st are trying to articulate- it was awful compared to the 1st season for them personally- not that the show itself is awful).
It had a few 10/10, AWESOME episodes (generally it was the eps that focused on a 2-3 plots rather 15 😉 ), many 4-6/10, o.k-good Episodes & a number of 1-3/10 less than great episodes (these usually were ones with few of our core cast involved & a zillion plot lines going at once for me).
For me the top 4 are Broken (how can it not be on anyone’s top 10 list…The feels! 😉 ), Crocodile, Tallahassee & a tie for SOTM & LOTL (that Emma & Snow scene in the nursery was just soooooooo touching).
I actually FINALLY left sorry for Regina this season lol – she’s still a twisted …son of a gun, but I did feel sorry for her (& then we didn’t see her for like 4eps soooo typical S2 😆 )
