The bean is their symbol 100%. When she was confronting him from the jail cell he was comparing her to the dried bean that was once full of hope and was now nothing – but it was that same bean that he used to get to SB by returning its powers with Lake Nostos. In the finale the bean was HUGELY important, not only to go after Henry of course, but because Hook gave it back to her when he could have just gone off and saved himself and then she gave it to him to get them to Neverland showing massive amounts of trust!
This time when a hand was extended, it was taken and the bean was swapped back and forth. It was very trusting on both their parts and it was beautiful to see! Also the whole idea of the bean that was once dead and gone to Hook like Emma was for betraying him and then he saw the light (well, the lake and then eventually the light) and it became something powerful and important, JUST LIKE EMMA. The beans are a running symbol of what they mean to each other and their willingness to finally start letting themselves trust each other. I loved the exchanges of the beans in this ep!
Agreed & yes the bean went from Hook, to Emma & back to Hook again in the span of 2mins lol- Emma could have thrown it in the water, but she gave it back to Hook/Killian to do the honors, that took trust- was also nice to see her up at the stern with Hook 😉

We all (at least I think it was all of us), thought Hook would give up his vengeance for Emma- well in a way, that is exactly what happened. So those scenes in Rumple’s cell have even greater meaning now- Not only is Hook the only one to come back for Emma, he is the only one who has given up his ‘dark path’ for her as well. I love the parallels of Everyone except Hook leaving Emma- Her parents, Pino/August, Bae/Neal- When she left Hook up the beanstalk because she couldn’t allow herself to trust he was for real, he told her up front & in total honesty, he would NEVER have abandoned her like that- he just had to opportunity to prove those words to be true & he choose to be ‘Killian’, the man Emma could trust rather than just ‘Hook’ the pirate.
😆 😆 😆 😆 Looking at the gifs of Snowing, Rumbelle & CS- what stood out…… each couple has one light haired partner & one dark haired 😉
True that anything could happen- but as of now A&E haven’t given us actual reason to believe CS is not going to happen- in fact they’ve done the opposite.
Honestly I think Charming got away with punching Hook because for 1) they don’t see him as an all powerful evil doer & 2) Charming & Hook are very much alike in may ways- more so than Neal & Charming- no one would ever dream of socking Neal because you then have the darkone to deal with & we all know how that turns out!
I don’t remember Hook getting in front of Emma tho- if you are thinking about around the JR’s gangplank, Hook was still standing on it (the gangplank), with Emma directly below him when Rumple turned up from behind- Hook hadn’t moved from that spot until they all started to board.
Another thing that just occurred to me- what with Hook being a pirate & all, Snowing castle is right on the edge of either an ocean, an inland ocean, giant lake/loch – Henry, Emma & Hook could have it all 😉

Yes true they didn’t kiss but they might as well have because CS have come full circle.
They were never going to get anything overtly romantic yet, they were not ready. What they needed to do in order to get to that level, they did indeed do.
Hook chose Emma, which NEEDED to happen in order for this ship to sail. He chose her over completing his revenge. He took her up on her offer. He can be a part of her family and like with Bae and Milah, I am very positive he will be incredibly protective of Henry and Emma. Nobody can say Killian is not good father material, and if they do they’re living in a pit of massive denial. True Bae’s memory of what happened was substancial to him returning but it was Emma’s offer, Emma’s words that made him turn around as well. She is his something to care for now, he basically said as much when he returned and told her that he basically needed a reminder that he could be the hero he always was.
Emma trusts Hook now. She gave him the bean which is going to lead her to her most prize possession. She has placed her faith and her family in his hands. She is also shocked that someone actually chose her for the first time in their lives over doing what needed to be done in their mind. He came back to her. That has never happened before. I think you saw that when she looked to the horizon with a surprised look on her face and then when he gave her the bean.
This season finale was to put it in a way magical for CS and everything that in order to have a successful romantic relationship later on, happened. These two are set and now all we need now is time and this is going to be an epic love story.

Must admit I’m kinda annoyed at how little Hook’s current redemption has been mentioned or given props- what is it hate Hook mth?! When Regina or Rumple try to do the right thing, people are all over it like a wet rag & those two have committed mass murder- Hook actually does do the right thing & for the right reasons & it barely rates a mention in most interviews 🙁 Double standards much!
On the other hand I guess it could mean they want to keep it low key so they can knock it out of the park next season…wish we’d had Hook from S1, then his actions now would be taken for what they are (Funny how Hook is the 1st villain I have REALLY come to root for & care about- I now know how uber Rumple & Regina fans feel lol) 😉I also noted what Belle told Rumple about the future not always being what you think it will be- same could be said for SF & also gives hope for CS- who would have thought Emma & Hook, Emma/Henry’s dad was expected for the future by pretty much everyone before S2 started 😉
Just found this – No Hook or CS stuff, but it is a tease for S3 & I LOVED this part- Hook is officially “CORE CAST” 😀

Yeah- I loved that bit too. Honestly who wouldn’t have been touched by those scenes. I got very protective of poor Hook/Killian this episode- he did an awesome job of loss, shock, betrayal, hope, anger, acceptance, tenderness, sadness & repentance.

It has to be there for a reason (like the hints that Henry was special which got slipped in early in both S1 & again in S2- then bam! we find out he's been hunted for the last 300 odd yrs 😯 😮 ).
They always have a reason for doing what they do & nothing gets on screen by mistake- they just cant be so cruel as to tease us with CS hope & all these parallels when it’s all for nothing- I cant believe they’ed do that to us CS fans (they said out right, right off the bat that Tamara was NOT a FTL character- so I’d hope they’d do the same for us if they hadn’t planned on a CS plot of any form). So until either-one says otherwise, CS is slowly blossoming- take it long & slow, drag it through plenty of Drama of past love & temptation to do the easy thing, so it comes out the stronger for it & I’ll be one very happy CS Oncer- I’m in for the long haul if it’s end game & done right 😉Wow- just wow! What a great Hook filled ep! 😀 I’m so happy for that! 😀 😀 😀 I just finished my 2nd watch of it & LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Hook stuff & CS scenes 🙂
Agree this ep has shown more hope for CS (not as much as the beanstalk stuff to be sure, but hope none the less).
Ohhhh the feels- Will go through step by step:
Loved Hook finding out who Bae is & not even 'truly' considering turning him in when he did so – we so called that 😀 😉 😎 He'd make an AWESOME daddy! 😀
Charming socking Hook, was for Hook knocking him out in the station lol 😆 😕 So I can forgive Charming for that one 😉
Hook so like's kids- he was very observant & feeling for Henry when Regina told him she would'nt allow him to be alone & Killian also expected to be treated poorly – he had his clipped ' bad guy pirate' voice on the whole time & kept it up while with Charming- he was almost surly when he told Charming he was doing it for himself, I think those words tasted a little bitter to his tongue & he definitely expected to be treated as bad guy rather than an ally.So glad they included Our 1st real CS moment since Tallahassee:

Poor Hook sucker punched ….again.(I so need to make a Hook vid using tubthumping by chumbawamba for all his knock outs lol 😉 )I could have shouted at young Bae when he accused Hook of being as responsible of killing Milah as Rumple was….NOT EVEN! Man, what an unfair thing to say! Backing up to the beginning of the scene now….
Killian (because he was talking to Bae in his Killian voice, after shouting at Smee in his Hook voice) will make an Awesome father, he handled an angry Bae very well considering he has no children of his own- concern, level headed, calm reason & the man offered to take in the child of his dead lover, out of the kindness of his own heart, as a way of honoring her & fulfilling her greatest desire- for the 3 of them to be a family, when she was no longer around for him to 'have' to abide by her wishes (this proves he has a good heart & is a hero in a villains body to me). Then Bea goes for the low blow…. 😥
Hook “We can live, the life that Milah wanted for us, as a family”
Bae “No! Stay back! You used me, you wanted to kill my father!”
Hook “Yes, I did” Why is it the little things- that mean the most- get over looked the most!
Bae “You tore apart my family- As sure as if you ripped her heart out yourself” Shoves Hook- Hook doesn't react to it, he instead tries to plea with Bae.
Hook “Bae don't”
Bea “Take me back to my real family- The Darlings”
Hook “I… Can't- It's not possible to leave Neverland. But you can stay here, under my protection”
Bae “I'd rather fend for myself, than be with you. I want off this ship, Pirate”
Pan around to Hook's shocked, agonized face 🙁 He didn't have to offer Bae anything, in fact it was stupid for him to put his own life in danger by protecting Bae at all, he put himself out there & got sucker punched (I get the feeling this will be Hook/Killian's theme- every time he did the right thing for others, he got the short end of the stick- so he only does right by himself now). Killian could have pointed out Milah came to him to get away from Rumple- he didn't, he was still trying to spare Bae, even as Bae was telling him he was as guilty as Rumple…. so many Hook/Killian feels 😀 🙂 😎 🙂 I get Bae was (rightly) still raw & angry at his own father for abandoning him etc, but Hook paid the price for Rumple's betrayal of his son 🙁Hook voice back as he tries again to convince Bae to stay & be a family- I think at this point Hook really would have become Killian again if Bae hadn't let his own anger at his father, mother & Hook etc cloud his judgment of Killian as he'd come to know him.

Hook (in imploring Killian tone) “Well you have one know”

Bae “You say that, but I know you will never change; because all you care about is yourself”
Hook (with pained expression on his face & emotional Hook tone back) “Thank you; For reminding me what I'm all about” (hard, bad a$$ Hook tone) “Killing your father!”
Bae (as Peter & the lost boys climb aboard & take him)”You're not letting me go”
Hook “How would that help me”
Bae “You hated my father so much! You didn't even realize you are just like him!”
Hook “You have the boy, he will be pleased!?” (Can't help but look over the starboard side to see Bae glaring at him), turns away with shocked, hurt, disappointed & disproving expression, then scratches out the marks he made in an act of kindness towards Bae. Transitions to present day & those same marks remind him of what he is capable of & what he really wants (love & family).Loved Emma's & Snow's mono “Hook”
& Emma's “I thought you didn't care about anyone but yourself?” & Hook's “Maybe I just needed reminding that I could” & with 0 hesitation he offers his services & ship to go find/save Henry, as well as puts aside his sworn vengeance on Rumple FOR Emma & Henry, he even doesn't rise to Rumple's baited line of the JR- again none of these people are his own flash & blood or family- he has no binding reason to help any of them- aside from kindness, honor & his 'understanding' & *cough* 'attraction to' *cough* Emma 😉 .
I just hope this time, he isn't knocked up the back side the head for it …. again.
Cue EPIC ending scene!
And now we have 3-4mths to wait until next season- it seems so far away! I cant wait for CC & the start of S3 teasers. I will pour over Once news for S3 CS stuff- I REALLY hope they grow closer this coming season. I too just don’t see Henry being the product of true love or SF as being “True Love” in the same sense as Snowing (or True fairy tale style true love anyway). Did they love each other deeply- of course, Neal is Emma’s 1st love & the father of her son- but there is no way Neal could have walked away from Emma like he did if it was TL- true love is meant to bind them together so they cant be without each other- Neal shouldn’t have been able to walk away & move on enough from his True Love, to fall in LOVE with another person (ie. Not even Snow was able to do leave & stay away, nor was Charming, even when George had Snow tell him she didn’t love him- now that is what TL is by definition according to the show- It’s been shoved down our throats time & again ie Belle/Rumple, Emma/Henry, Regina/Daniel, Regina/Henry- Emma did the same thing, she could have just left, but she stayed for Henry, she could have left without Henry, but she stayed anyway- she could have accepted his death & left, but again she couldn’t, she had to stay- as Snow said, Doing the right thing is oftentimes taking the hard path, instead of the easy & this should hold true to all the characters not just the Charming’s- I will be disappointed if they go there with SF when they’ve been shown to be the opposite of TL).
A little bit bummed out, I have clients all afternoon so cant watch E22 until later tonight (it usually available about 1pm here) when I get home- I’m so going to buy a bag of cookies to go with my cinnamon tea (I got laughed at for for mt cinnamon quirk since I was 8or 9- I add cinnamon to EVERYTHING! But now it’s on the show {all be it in Hot Chocolate} I don’t cop quiet as much flack for it 😉 😎 ). Think I’ll need the emotional support of cookies to see S2 out with no CS (even though it’s expected & I don’t want them together yet, I do still want to see some hope they could be later on!)
