Slightly off topic, but like with Emma/Neil, it does concern CS….. Anyone else having reservations over hints that Hook/Ariel maybe being paired? I’m not keen simply because Ariel is supposed to be very, very young- like 16 young, which is to young to fall for a 30 something pirate (with 300 odd yrs of experiences) imo anyway (I’d rather her fall for a young Prince Eric than Hook) & if they made her obviously mid- late 20’s (like the rest of the Disney princesses on the show), she wouldn’t really be ‘Ariel’ anymore, but more a red haired rip off of Splash- if that makes sense?
Also Eric is suppose to be Ariel’s TL, not Killian.
If they have to make Killian portray a 3rd character, it either should to be a villain- like they do with Rumple- yes I know beast isn’t a ‘true’ villain, but he started out portrayed as mean/bad etc & blossomed into the hero prince (& I’m not keen on Hook becoming another villain!) or keep it in the universe of the Peter Pan story..ie a lost boy, Pan or Indian, otherwise we start to loose major characters out of other stories & it all becomes very confusing trying to keep track of who is really who & who they relate to, along with when, where & how! (ie Rumple= Rumple, Beast, Cinder FGM, Gold- they get away with FGM as it’s such a small role & all the others fit, as Rumple is a minor (as in not disneyfied) FT character, who is portrayed as more of the bad trickster than all out evil, which is similar to Beast).
Esp if they start mixing villains of one land with princes of another- ie less confusing to have a brother or twin (like Charming) than to make Charming, Gaston from Beauty & the Beast for instance- Or Rumple being both Rumple & Beast- than Rumple being Rumple & Adam (name of Beast AFTER curse is broken & he transforms into a ‘good’ prince/hero……I wonder if Rumple will get a name change after TLK & the darkone curse is broken lol).

So yeah, I really hope they at least keep any mergers with-in the same story & tell those stories, then have our beloved major FTL characters (ie. Ariel & Eric, Jasmine & Aladdin), have their own separate story with-in the larger story- whether that’s in NL or where ever- they’ve already proven they can do it so well- I just don’t want to see part of our cast become ‘all’ the other beloved villains, princes & princesses of all our other ‘big’ FTL stories merged into one is all.

So it’s not just my little CS shipper heart that’ll break, it’s also my Ariel/Eric one too lol 😉

1) I’m torn on this, on the one hand I want it to happen…like yesterday 😆 😉 but on the other, unless something really ‘big’ happens, I cant see either of them doing anything like that & have it feel genuine- Emma is on tender hooks with Neil in town, will be on flaming egg shells when Henry is kidnapped & Hook is finally just starting to want something other than revenge in his life (thank you A&E!!! They even said something along the lines of him letting revenge & Milah go 😀 )

2) Oh hell YES! Count me in on that wish 😉

3) I’ve been waiting ALL season for that! Still waiting for that touching Daddy/Swan moment from the promo to happen!

4)…… I dubbed it Gramplestiltskin 😉 😆 Grampa Charmz 😉

I will add I want Emma & Hook to have a candid ‘chat- aka banter’ about life in general of late (went to post this & saw Sarah TN has said almost the same thing 🙂 ) – it’d set up #2 on the wish list nicely 😉 & lets face it, those 2 have some of the best banter stuff we’ve seen on the show 😉 🙂 😎

I REALLY want Hook to meet Henry- I think those 2 will hit it off 🙂

It was touched on briefly in Manhattan, but you’re right, it wasn’t fully explored. I mean, Emma had other things to worry about at the time. Maybe we’ll get something in the finale.

Again, couldn’t agree more & I think it is something we need to see, where Emma isn’t surprised, on the spot & freaking out over Henry knowing she lied, the man who hurt her most in life coming back into her life, as well as keeping Henry from Neil. We need to see a calm, totally honest exchange there & Emma needs to admit she will always love/have feelings for Neil in some form- because she will, he gave her Henry & he was her 1st love etc (I think people forget that just because you still love someone, doesn’t mean you have or want to be romantically involved with them). There’s many kinds of love 😉

They should be each others True Love, given the staggering numbers of parallels between Snowing & CS, Tangled & CS (right down to the flower tattoo on Emma’s wrist 😉 ….isn’t her tattoo meant to be significant? I though A&E mentioned it during S1 somewhere, when someone asked about it…wish I could find the interview 😕 ) & Hook/Killian & Emma themselves

He doesn’t seem totally ‘into’ his revenge on Rumple at this time- I’m not saying he doesn’t want it still…because the fact he’s with GOAT atm, means he does still want that revenge enough to not have walked away from their offer. I’m just saying, I think we are meant to be reading it as ‘he actually has other desires & considerations, aside from revenge, that he is now starting to consider’, rather than JUST his single minded, one track revenge path…& I think that is were Emma will come into play- he’ll start to have a reason to do the right thing, of his own free will 😉

Hookian, as with your other post where you talk about a scene jump, I think you’re downplaying GOAT’s role in the show. That scene jump seemed to me to connect Emma’s worry about the danger to SB with the two who are the danger. Similarly, Hook didn’t kill Mallificient –they did. I do agree that Hook is on a journey, but he is still playing the anti-hero type role. He anticipated Regina would betray him, and he actually betrayed her in anticipation, or else GOAT wouldn’t have been there. Perhaps if she hadn’t betrayed him, he would have helped her with GOAT–he’s a pirate. We know he’s the type to shift sides when the odds change.

Now we’ll have to wait to see him do something that does not just further his revenge or save himself or undo a harm he caused or helped to cause in the first place. We need to SEE his heroic moment. Even better if Emma sees it–like if he warns the town, even though it means Rumpel gets away from him. We need to see him pick the good side and stick to it, even though it might cost him the one thing that’s been motivating him for years. That to me is the most likely heroic moment for him….cause I don’t think his revenge thing is going to work out. Rumpel’s too important :).

That’s the kind of change I think that would set up CS pretty well.

What I got from that scene (taking previous events into consideration) is I think Hook has indeed thought about ‘his afterwards’…at least a little.
He spent- what a week?- tied up with only his ‘joy’ of finally having got his revenge to keep him company….I’m fairly certain he had plenty of time to think on other aspects of life, now he had achieved his goal. ie. His joy may have started to feel rather hollow, when it didn’t help him out of the spot he was in, nor did he have friends or family looking for or missing him…he didn’t even have someone he would miss at that point..well maybe Emma- she’s only one he has really sparked with. Maybe he actually got just a little taste of what a life lived only for the sake of seeking vengeance actually means & what it will cost him…. I know I’d have at least gone though ‘what if’s’ myself)- why else would he bother having that particular conversation with Regina regarding revenge, if he hadn’t at least considered the same things for himself… he didn’t need to bring it up at all & at that point, he really was going to help Regina & not GOAT.

I have been thinking that I don’t want to see Hook 100% redeemed by end of S2 though, because then I doubt we’ll much of him in S3 at all- if we have 5 seasons in total, I hope we see him try to be ‘good’ through S3- with plenty of sparky CS moments, & maybe become a ‘good’ pirate during S4- & we get plenty of serious CS moments & in S5 when the final battle happens (however or in whatever form that takes place), Hook is there on the ‘good guys’ & Emma’s side 😉

All I know is the ST shippers are all happy after this ep (it’s hard to go into any thread & not come across canon ST conversations going on 😆 )- I just hope it’s our turn next ep!!! It’d be nice to actually have them in a scene together again…even if Emma has him tied up 😉 😆

Oh & I forgot to mention- Cora had to rip out her own heart:
Rumple grew to love Cora deeply (as evidenced by his question of her before she died, I have no doubt he loved her), she did it because she loved him- they could have had TLK moment & he then would no longer be the dark one etc if she had kept her heart 😉
Of course he then could have used her heart to create the curse etc or we’d have no series to watch, so it had to go down the way it did 😉
