In my mind, Neal could have manned up & told Emma he was taking responsibility for his own actions & gone to prison himself.
He could have explained that he loved her & wasn’t about to let her go to prison for his actions, that she deserved better than that & that a friend/August was going to look out for her while he was doing his time- failing that he could have simply gone & left her a note saying he had to put things right & August would look out for her while he was away- I could have lived with that 😉
Had she gone to prison as things stand now, but he had then waited for her in Tallahassee or even left her a letter saying he was sorry & if she could forgive him he’d be waiting at such & such etc, again I may be more forgiving- but he didn’t.
For me his actions are just despicable, even given the circumstances, but then I’m looking at the situation through the eyes & life experiences of someone who is very loyal & has an exceptionally strong sense of justice, which is why I’m enjoying this thread- like you say, getting other peoples takes on why they dislike/hate a character, even one which you yourself may like/love is really very interesting (I love Hook/Killian, but I totally understand how others could really despise him, same with Rumple & Regina) 🙂I hope so Phee.
Not sure if Regina just wants to just use the beans to get away tho guys- she said “they will escape the total destruction of SB” to Hook.

I must admit having just watched the promo for Ep20, I'm a little worried there. It seems Regina is going to try getting her Hook's into him ….. again.

I ‘strongly’ disliked Cora- I never felt any sympathy for her at any stage & was glad when she passed on (I know it’s bad to say, but she is the one character I just felt was plain old rotten, twisted, damaged to her core & beyond all repair- heart or no heart). She made her choice/s, could have chosen love at any point, yet she chose evil & power- not cool.
George I don’t like- he’s a nasty piece of work, as was James, I didn’t enjoy seeing either one again this season.
Rumple I love to hate sometimes- I just WISH he’d learn a ‘be good’ lesson & have it stick for any length of time!!!
Regina I love to hate sometimes as well, for the same reasons as Rumple.
Neal/Bae I’m not sure if I still dislike him or I’m just VERY, VERY disappointed in him- cant stand that he actively caused someone he supposedly loved- who was only 17yrs old!!! To be wrongly imprisoned for his own crime, then totally abandon her… that’s just beyond low in my mind. Then to not even say he’s sorry when they next meet some 10yrs later…..Grrrrrrrr, it just pressed all my buttons & I cant forgiven him yet.
Tamara I dislike a lot atm- for what she is doing & for what she is going to do….. the women is horrid for cheating on Neal like she is & I’m not liking Owen for being ok with it all- it’s just gross.
Edited to add: I forgot Pino/August & Gep- Oh man, I admit I really did Hate that arc in S1, I didn’t get it at all & hated Gep’s & August’s actions & choices from start to stop- I didn’t mind a bit when he was ‘rebooted’, not that Gep deserved it- it still drives me nuts lol.
All I can say is FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!

Marital Status: VERY Happily Single- Been in earth shattering love once & have no plans to do that again in a hurry (wish I had an adjustable dial, rather than an ‘on, off’ switch when it comes to love lol) 😉
I’ve only ever shipped one other show/couple before OUAT, so Once has brought the shipper out in me with 3ships!

Snowing – They just belong together & complement each other in every way 🙂CaptianSwan – Pretty much the same as Snowing, which is a big part of why I ship them (the similarities between these 2 couples is astounding!) Not to mention, as someone else did- Emma needs someone who she knows will NEVER abandon her- for any reason, Killian wont, he’s too loyal & honest to do that kind of thing & Emma (& Henry, who likes to see the good in people) will help him to live & ‘love’ again, let go of the past, as well as his vengeance/hate, as well as I LOVE underdog relationships 😉 + it make sense story wise- nicely ends the Rumple/Milah/Hook(Killian) arc.
QueenThief (Neal & Regina) – Mean’s Regina just isn’t Henry’s adoptive mother, it will make her truly family (in her mind ie. bound by blood) & her doubts over having Henry ‘taken’ from her will no longer be an issue for her + She & Neal balance each other out, she cant practice magic & stay ‘good’, Neal doesn’t like magic being practiced (I get the feeling Emma is starting to like her magical powers, given her reactions in E17), both love Henry & it would effectively complete their family unit by ending the Regina/Snow/Rumple/Emma arcs 😉
I like Rumbelle- because who doesn’t?! 😉
& since everyone seems to be adding star signs: Leo (explains the larger than life emotions & loyalty- though I’m very shy, so social butterfly & center of attention is sooooooo not me lol).
I’d say from reading through this thread, that age & marital status really have little to do with ship preferences. Looks more like it comes down to back ground & life experiences 😉
