I really don’t want to see anyone have to be sacrificed! This is supposed to be a show about hope!
I know & I wish the same, BUT…………… 🙁 Tell that to Graham 😥 A&E can & will take down someone if it will have a big emotional impact- they’ve done it before & they will do it again, as in their own words ‘the stakes have to be real’ & ‘what’s the point if there is no real danger’ …. the guy’s scare the oats outta me sometimes- I’d like their point to be- they lived through it all lol 😉

Like I stated earlier Henry has to be like the next star wars hero, the Outsider is from outerspace and so was Greg’s ring tone and the fact that Emma mention on a show once that who knew that she would be the mother of the next star wars guy something like that in my opinion.
I think that if this was in an interview Jennifer Morrison, who plays Emma, was talking about being the mother of Captain Kirt in the Star Trek movie, which she was… I don’t think this was about once, or star wars
Yeah you are right there- she did play Capt. Kirt’s mother.
surayyaParticipantAnother thought I had re prophecy is that inorder to “win” the final battle, a main character will sacrifice themselves or will have to be killed (I so hate even thinking about this, but E&A have already shown they will take down anyone they like for big emotional impact!)- maybe it’s at his hand….
Or even better yet, maybe the whole point is more will this be ‘what WILL come to pass, or what MIGHT come to pass?’ & how will his actions affect the out come with the stakes so high 😉I just want our guys to have happy endings- it’s not a big ask is it?! – I know it’s a long shot they will all live till season’s end- but if they all die, that’ll just suck!)
surayyaParticipantThe parallels between Anakin & Henry are kinda similar- they both grew up with single mothers- not knowing or having father figures, until great powers/life changing things step into their lives at approx 10yrs old- which was of their own causing- Anakin put himself forward for the podrace & Henry left to find his birth mother. Both had to leave their mothers as a result of their actions, which effected them emotionally (in a way so Henry did indeed ‘leave’, by leaving Regina for Emma- why would Regina even bother telling Henry he’s adopted anyway? She got him at 3weeks old, I’d have thought it would be more in her nature to never tell Henry he wasn’t hers, as then he’d never have a reason to think about looking for birth parents? That still bugs me big time- I dont get it 😕 ), which is when learning about magic/the force starts- with the best of intentions- Both are very keen to learn more about it (Henry with the BF & when Regina is making the potion).
Oh wait- doesn’t Anakin, foresee his mother getting killed or something & that is what essentially starts him on the road to going all Darth Vader on the Jedi? (My SW is very rusty). Could that be what Rumple see’s- Emma’s death turning Henry vengeful maybe.
Another thought could be that in order to “win” the final battle, a main character will sacrifice themselves or will be killed (I so hate even thinking about this, but E&A have already shown they will take down anyone for big emotional impact!)- maybe it’s at his hand Or maybe the point is more ‘is this what WILL come to pass or is it what MIGHT come to pass?’ & how will his actions affect the out come with the stakes so high………Either that Or Henry is really part Ewok & he get’s all his Ewok buddies to help take down the evil ones via stump & vine traps 😛 😉 – No one would see that coming 😛 😉 😆

I have always thought Hook as the byronic hero. Now that said are there any byronic heroes (think Heathcliff from Wuthering Heights) that did not have an unhappy ending. If not then are there other character archetypes that have the same beginning–or similar in that there is a lost love, or something tragic that happens but less tragic endings? I found a rather good list here and it be interesting to explore which archetype Hook might fit.
Hehe, the definition of a byronic hero (aside from the young bit) fits Rumple as well 😆 😉
I guess I can see how Hook could fit the definition, but we have yet to find out if he’s distressed by a terrible wrong he himself committed in the past, or if if that was in fact just Rumple killing his wife which put him over the edge.
I’m sure something happened in his past which meant he had to ‘grow up’ fast & fend for himself vigorously to have become a pirate captain in the 1st place (kind of makes me want to watch stardust again- De Niro gives Pirates everywhere hope of redemption lol 😉 😆 )- I just hope we get to see that story- even if Peter isn’t in it (or he turns out to be Peter 😕 )!And I just pictured Hook in a saloon dress, heels, a wig and makeup… 😛
😆 I know, Right! 😛 Man’s got style, I bet he could pull it off 😉 😆

Guess what guys…there are pictures of Emma on Hooks’ ship 😉 Just thought I’d let you all know – gives us something to look forward to.
Oh, wow, really! Is Hook in said pics too????? 😎 😉
surayyaParticipantI agree. With so many star wars themes coming up- it’s to do with Henry’s future- be it good or bad.
Maybe it goes along the lines of ‘if events take course A) Henry goes all Darth Vader on EF’s butt- if they go course B) He goes all Jedi type thing- this could easily hold true for it being about Emma as well I suppose.
After all who would suspect Henry (or Emma) could turn Dark- yet it happened to cute little innocent Anakin 😉
It could come down to either something Rumple does or doesn’t do. Maybe it comes down to Henry learning magic or not (much like Anakin learning to use the ‘Force’ = him becoming Darth Vader) – there is a star wars parallel if there ever was one for SBI think this just maybe the episode where we really start getting into lining up the “final battle” which we have seen diddly-squat of so far this season- makes sense if we have the makings of battle lines finally coming into focus in the later part of the season, who the most likely game players are for each side & why, as well as who the wild cards are & which way they are likely to swing when the dodo hits the fan.
surayyaParticipantI’m with Sarah TN there- At least Graham’s death meant something/ drove the story forward- it wasn’t done just for the sake of it.
I’m thinking since no-one will see it coming & with so many star wars themes coming up- it’s to do with Henry’s future- be it good or bad…. If Henry finds out Bae’s his dad, making Rumple his Grandpa, then he may start having ideas about one big happy family get together. Hook’s revenge quest against Rumple would hurt that, which in turn would hurt Henry. Emma wouldn’t allow that.
Emma’s and Hook’s relationship is doomed to failure. She wouldn’t want him to take revenge against Rumple, and he would resent her if he was forced to give up his revenge.
I think it’s more than likely that Henry will try to get everyone to be one big happy family- I hope they don’t go down that rd personally tho.
We also have to remember Neal doesn’t even know he is a father- Emma found out in jail, not before, it is possible he wont even want Henry to start off with, or deny he is his son.
Add to the fact that Neal hasn’t bothered to go looking for her, now he knows where she is- means he is hardly stacking up to be a serious True Love prospect at all.Rumples quest to get his son back meant he himself ensured Regina would be a monster, so she could enact the curse, causing Emma to go 28yrs without her parents- yet Emma is willing to be kind to Rumple & help him still. If Hook- like Rumple & Regina, had a True Love worth fighting for, then Hook wouldn’t be all consumed by his need for revenge & Emma could provide this, much as Belle & Henry do for Rumple & Regina.
