So, I’m honestly think that the whole Belle runs into an old aquantiance (Grumpy being the old aquantiance) and it possibly being her undoing and the dwarves looking for fairy dust in the mines and Belle being trapped in the mine car are all connected.
I like the idea of Grumpy being the old acquaintance, that makes much more sense than it being Smee IMO.
Yea- I like this too, makes much more sense if it’s Grumpy.
[adrotate group="5"]surayyaParticipantYep- we’ve seen a lot of that hole lately, it must mean something for it to be featured so often- unless of course they are just using it as an easy way of reminding us SB has been trashed without having to totally trash a real town every time they film π
surayyaParticipantMost favourite moment (like so many others π ) Emma & Snow’s stuff -especially in the castle. The “I’m just not used to people putting me first.” line was perfect for Emma & Snow looking back into the room of what could/should have been was just so poignant- the writers got that dead on for me.
Least fav moment- Cora, Cora, Cora …. women needs to learn to live & let live a little π
It’s great we all finally have someone we can all just plain hate over- given our other 2 villains are so darn likeable/human lol.
I just worry that getting a new evil right now & having to follow that storyline as well, before we’ve had other storylines resolved, will fragment things too much since we have at least 4 other characters stories in present FTL to follow- which is set to increase again by also adding Hook to the mix, going off of the next few episodes synopses, 6 characters stories in SB + 7 in FTL past all of which need telling- there is only so much we can get to & every new character eats into time with our 6 main ones & 2 current supporting roles- who I would personally rather learn about more.surayyaParticipantCora’s plan- screw over everyone & rip out all of their hearts, so she has an entire world of minions to do her bidding of course π π
surayyaParticipantI always took it to mean her hubby was also in the milling business- he was just a wealthy miller or lord who owned many mills π
surayyaParticipantI was thinking ‘OH No!’ When Lance started touching the wardrobe lol. No good ever comes of anything when Cora is involved π

I have to agree with slurpeez108 and Mike. This episode was good and showed that:
Cora is a cunning Evil force to be reckoned with. Bets she goes to Storybrook with the other 4 – and if Lancelot is really alive, him too. She may be the one that creates the “portal” that allows all of them to get back.
Fully convinced Emma that FTL actually exists and that her “I can handle anything” doesn’t work for her there.
Her mother is not only a badass survivor but really is a “I can handle anything” person in FTL that Emma found out she isn’t.
Emma finally understands and believes that Mary Margaret/Snow is in fact her mother.
Emma is overcome with feeling to believe that Mary Margaret/Snow has unconditional for Emma, allowing Emma to show an emotional “crack” in her self sufficient – don’t need anybody – exterior. She is now accepting MM as the mother she spent her entire life looking for.Bonding between Charming and Henry – the (grand)son he always wanted.
Jefferson and his daughter’s reconciliation was wonderful. Gave Jefferson a reason to believe there is hope. Maybe Jefferson will now try to create a portal for Emma and Snow, since he now believes there is “can” instead of “can’t”
Regina showed real emotional joy when she thought Henry wanted to meet her for lunch. No doubt in my mind she really loves him, she just doesn’t know how to get him to love her back. (all Magic comes with a price!)
Mulan and Aurora aren’t fleshed out yet – but no doubt they will become intricately used in future episodes.
As was said, you can’t have all the characters in every episode – it would be hard to maintain a coherent storyline – there are a lot of prominent characters. Besides, each episode seems to have a theme/link between FTL and Storybrook to a particular event.
Some episodes seem to some that they are not as interesting as other episodes, but I believe they provide a vehicle for clues, hints and beginnings to major episodes in the future.
.In total agreement with this.
This was a character based/driven episode, rather than an action based episode, which isn’t going to thrill everyone who watches the show, but for me personally it’s what makes the show (or any show for that matter) worth watching.
I WANT to see deeper interactions with the main characters, I WANT to see these characters developed & grow, far more than I want to see a bunch of fighting or CGI scenes blowing fairies up -for instance π .The acting & writing was spot on, with Snow’s & Emma’s stuff in the castle being the highlight of the episode.
I am enjoying the deeper development of characters this season has so far given us- for me if Rumple’s ep is as good as these last 2 have been, then the season is a win for me (only because I find Rumples story very much the same thing just a different day, every time it’s brought up- but I wouldn’t dream of bagging an episode just cause my favourites aren’t in it- the story line & characters/acting are still top notch).surayyaParticipantI agree with Phee on this one, the ruling class is what these guys are used to, Charming looks like he’ll be using Red as deputy for the time being & I imagine Blue & the fairies will be helping as well, since they don’t have much else on atm π
surayyaParticipantYeah, I got the feeling FTL was dying or loosing it’s magic somehow- maybe it’s like fresh water in that the amount of fresh water in our world is finite & very small (less than 1/2 of 1 percent of all the total worldβs water stock is fresh). Not only is it the same amount of water that was here at the creation of the planet, it’s the exact same water ie. The next time you walk in a rain, remember some of that rain was in the blood of dinosaurs.
It’s a very precious resource & if we take care of it, it recycles through the hydrologic cycle; but if we do not take care of it, we destroy it-much as we are finding out now with at least 8 of our major rivers no longer reaching the ocean & a full 1 billion people with little to no access to it.
So maybe it was in deed because many FTL folk went all out on using the magical resources until they simply started to run out or tap them dry so to speak.I have posted a number of times about what form the ‘final battle’ will take, since it no longer makes sense it will be Charmings Vs Regina any more- one of my thoughts was it could be for magic or EF/FTL’s very existence…. It seems more a battle that Rumple would have something to do with, rather than just plain old Regina vs Charmings.
I don’t see the Blue Fairy as a villain (contrary to popular belief π ) & have posted many, many times that I feel she is working for FTL/Magic’s best interests rather than any given person or group of people. She did after all want Snow & Charming to go through before the curse hit- Gep put that to an end himself even though the Blue Fairy told him up front things had changed & for the sake of them all Snow & Emma needed to go through- she didn’t want Regina winning any more than Rumple did.
I do think she has a larger role to play- but I cant see it being evil, she’s the one who’s gone around making the EF folk wishes true. Not even Grumpy thinks she’s evil & if anyone was going to feel she was- it’d be him.
