Yep she’d sound weaker than Rumple in that moment- but it would turn pretty much everyone against Rumple …On second thoughts, I guess if they did that we wouldn’t have much of a show to watch then lol
Good point. Regina needs to deflect some of the blame if she’s going to continue to survive. Plus, Rumpel has so far gotten off scot free (which he seems able to do because of that geourgous Scottish accent). 🙂 In many ways though, Rumpel is a bigger “baddy” than Regina, and yet his charm seems to make people trust him more. Regina’s a high-maintance witch with a bad attitude, whereas Rumpel comes across as a calculating, deal-making imp with clever loop-holes. It’s harder to pin down the blame on him, because he always keeps his deals (well except for that deal with his son). I doubt anyone other than Regina or Emma (and maybe the Blue Fairy) knows Rumpel designed the Dark Curse, but once people realize it, they may turn on him more.
Oh yes, that accent is to die for 😉

Emma’s gonna need time before I think we see that from her but she should take a cue from Henry I mean he started calling David “Gramps” right off the bat! 😀
LOL- not so weird for him tho, at least his Gramps is older than he is & hasn’t needed his advice in the last season 😉 😆
That’s true, but it does look like he’s gonna need Henry’s support now though. Poor kid constantly wants to help but it’s like no one takes him seriously.
Hehe – yeah, that must stink.
In other news, Dr Whale’s still a sleazy as ever, huh.
OHHHHH YES!!!!! 😆

I also wonder how they are going to be able to give sufficient time to a storyline in each episode if they are flipping between three realities. That seems like a bit much. I know they keep saying that it works, but i am not so convinced. We will see, but i think it might make the show choppy and take us away from what we want to see too long and make that frustrating. I know i was frustrated in the Ep 1 and they weren’t even doing three times yet.
I get that, as I wanted more than the 2 & 1/2mins of actual reunion time we got & 10mins of reactions/together time 😉

When the curse was in place, I think something physically bad would happen to you, so Rumple probably thought that once the curse was lifted, that barrier would no longer exist. The fact that it now wipes your memory clean is a new development he hadn’t been expecting.
That’s an interesting thought, Phee. Rumpel/Mr. Gold must’ve thought that with the curse broken, he’d be able to leave town and go looking for Bae. Maybe introducing magic to our world actually had unintended consequences that even the maestro, Rumpel, didn’t foresee of making people lose all memory of their past life. I really want to know why he brought magic to our world though. Does he need magic to find Bae?
We know bad things happened when cursed characters like Ruby and Ashley tried to leave SB before Emma broke the curse. Ruby came back because Granny had a heart attack and Ashley went into labor. Yet, we didn’t actually see what happened if they physically crossed the boundary, except maybe one time. I’m wondering exactly what happened to David Nolan back in episode 1×16 (I think it was), when he was in the woods looking for Kathryn. Mary Margaret found him in a dazed-like state in which he didn’t seem to remember who he was or where he was, and then Ruby located him passed out. It’s like he was suffering the consequences of the dark curse, which Dr. Whale said was similar to when he’d just woken up from his comma. He seemed to lose his false SB memories while having some recall of FTL, but it was just a temporary black-out. He regained them soon after.
What I’m thinking is maybe they could have indeed left SB when the magical curse broke but Gold had to go release magic into SB which then snapped the boarder back into place, as magic doesn’t naturally exist here.
So to stop magic infecting the rest of reality it is removed from anyone who now crosses the border into our world- you can leave at any time IF you don’t mind no longer being a magical being 😉October 7, 2012 at 12:37 am in reply to: Broken isn’t referring to the curse, but to the world #155765surayyaParticipant@Faux Pax wrote:
It could have a double/triple meaning or more. The world, the word on the postcard, the FTL worlds, all the previous relationships that have been shaken and mixed up now that the curse is broken…it’s a loaded title for a single word.
Agreed
surayyaParticipantYeah, I think most the problem with the 1st couple of eps, is they are almost a stand alone mini series since they didn’t know if the show would be picked up or not, which means we have a few inconsistencies to work around now- like ‘she poisoned me because she thought I was prettier than her’ rather than because she feels I ruined her life (by the by- has it been confirmed that Daniel was indeed Regina’s true love, or is that just an assumption we are all making????)

I just think a metal medallion would resist being smashed… that is why I thought of melting it.
Shells will smash but do not think a medallion would ….. if you hit it with a hammer it would just flatten.

Agree- esp given Gold is one of the softest metals around.
Not sure how they could get them from the medallion per say, maybe they are able to find another portal to the wraiths world? Or trapping the wraith & then be able to transverse into the medallion.surayyaParticipantAnother regular casting call for a one Barrett.

Or maybe August sent the post card while he could write it, prior to the curse breaking? If you look at the writing, it does look kind of strained, like August could have been struggling (and probably was writing it).
Yeah I noted that as well, it’s untidy like a childs, or injured/restricted/older persons hand 😉
