Emma was upset. So scared she almost lost him. And she told him, she finally opened up and told him why she’s keeping him distant. And then he reassures her that he’s gonna be okay, and he’s not gonna go anywhere. And he makes her smile. She feels better, and just to make sure she does, he moves in and kisses her. Because this is his girl. And he can’t bare to see her sad. And he’s gonna be there every time she needs someone. To wipe those tears away, and put a smile back on her face.
Ok but this moment, can we just focus on Emma please. Emma freakin Swan’s walls are down, did you hear that? Emma freakin Swan has her walls down for this pirate and it’s beautiful.
She trusts him so much and how could he even suggest that? She trusts him, so she lets him into her heart. She trusts him to open her heart and tell him why exactly she is, the way she is. She’s just been so hurt, lost so many, she cannot even bear the thought of losing him too.
“I can’t lose you too”. It’s a promise she makes. Her eyes full of tears and emotion, just that simple thought scares her entirely, and she’s been so mad he would even think of putting himself in a danger. She’s admitting how scared she’s of that possibility to actually lose him, now that she has him. So he looks at her teary face, stares for the longest moment and tells her what she needs to hear. He will survive, he will always survive, it’s a promise he makes. And she believes him. She believes him, because she trusts him, she said so already. She trusts him to stay here, she trusts him to never leave her. That little smile, approval, ‘ok I trust you, you will not leave’, is the only permission he needs, to kiss her and show once more, how much she’s loved. My love…
[adrotate group="5"]I’ll say it again . . . MY SHOW IS BACK!!! I’m so happy!! I love this season. I loved this episode. I’m dying to find out what the deal is with DAIRY QUEEN!! It’s so great to not just be sitting around each week hoping there will be at least a lingering glance between Hook and Emma. Now that they are cannon and they have consistent moments together I actually enjoy the rest of the show again. I feel like all of these storylines mesh together so well this season even though they each stand alone on their own as well. And next week’s episode – Holy cow!! I am SO excited – so much in ONE episode, I might have to be sedated!!!

The show is back, I loved last season- esp the finale, but S4 for me feels like the magic of S1 has come back into the show again.
Ohhhh, it just hit me- I feel like we are more back to Emma’s story being the anchor of the show, with everyone elses being told around her’s (which could be why it feels so much more like S1!)

Initial reaction…. That was great!!!!
I’m with you there, sadly my connection decided to cut out just as Killian’s leg got Frozen & didnt connect back up until after Emma had rescued him/them, then the stupid thing cut out again until Emma was coming out the door of Granny’s, so I saw the 1st part of their street conversation & just as Emma opened her mouth to say why she was ticked off at him- Boom, connection cut again for a few secs, then I got a glimpse of her telling him & the kiss & then saw ‘some’ fragments of Rumple & Snow/Ice Queen & lost connection again….sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoyed that it was perfect all the way up to the ‘best’ parts then it dies…. the awesomeness of CS really does seem to break the internet 😛 (I have to laugh atm, or I’ll be crying about missing the parts I was most excited to see lol 😛 Damnit!)
Will come back & post more after I’ve finished DLing the ep & can actually watch it entirely (I missed the 1st few mins, as had to work & wont get to re-watch until later tonight, as have more work to get on with shortly *sigh*)
Happy OUAT Day everyone!! Just a few more hours! I’m trying to catch up on the last few pages, it’s been a busy week — I’m looking forward to seeing Hook and Rumple’s interaction. I agree with those who said, essentially, Rumple is his own worst enemy. I really don’t think there’s anything anyone – not just Hook – can do that’s worse and more threatening to RumBelle than Rumple himself. Relationships are built on trust – Belle understands that and trusts Rumple (at times, to a fault) but Rumple still hasn’t learned that very basic lesson. I’m guessing that’s a big part of what they have coming up for the RumBelle storyline this season. I think it would be interesting if they have Rumple bond with Henry, and because of Rumple’s relationship with Henry, and Hook’s relationship with Emma/Henry, they find themselves working on the same side – much to their chagrin, initially. So I think while some of their story might include Hook finding out about the dagger and using it as blackmail or whatnot, the core of their story is going to be that they each have to put their past animosity toward each other in the past, in order to preserve the happiness they have in the present. In regard to Hook being killed off or Colin leaving – not even a hint of concern for me – it’s not happening. As mentioned, A&E have been vocal about wanting Hook – not just Peter Pan, but Hook specifically – in S1 but were still working on obtaining the rights. Although it might not seem it if you listen to the anti-Hook/CSers, CS is a very popular ship with the general audience – and ultimately, it doesn’t matter if you watch 500x during the week and obsess (like us?! Nah!) or if you just tune in every Sunday at 8, then don’t give it a thought – every set of eyeballs count to the network, and many of those eyeballs enjoy our pirate and ‘ship. Neal/MRJ is completely different than Hook/Colin. I do also believe that whatever plans they had for Neal/MRJ, it just didn’t come together, for whatever reason. This left MRJ with very little screentime, while giving him enough exposure to get others interesting in having him in other projects – which he couldn’t commit to because of OUAT. The History channel project sounds very interesting (they’ve been putting out some great scripted programming in the last few years) and he’s got a bunch of other projects he’s working on and coming up. So really, it wasn’t worth it for him to stay in a role that gave him little screentime and wasn’t living up to expectations.
Agreed. It’s also why I find the stupid petitions to bring back Neal to be horribly selfish… MRJ was getting sweet stuff all screen time, he was a background & plot device character from the start plain & simple (we got ZERO, Zilch, Zip, Naught, Nil, Nada backstory on Neal at all outside of Emma), so why on earth would he want to come back to once ‘full time’. It’s been made clear SF wasnt going to happen- Neal’s death didnt change that, Emma moving on from him thanks to her cursed memories changed that, Neal’s death only allowed Emma to let someone else that she has strong feelings for, in faster, since she didnt have a constant walking minder of how damaging letting someone in can be emotionally. I dont understand why his fans arent happy for him getting what essentially every actor wants- leading roll situation on a show & a regular healthy sized paycheck to put in the bank! I’m glad he’s got better employment- not for myself, but for him, being an actor/tress isnt exactly a profession with a regular income & if he stayed committed to Once, he was committing himself to a pittance (which was likely to turn back into guest star anyway) compared to what he could potentially be getting on another show, esp as a/the lead.
The best part to me was the whole deal with Charming literally placing Emma in Killian’s arms. It was sweet but kind of strange at the same time. Like, why didn’t they just have Emma rush to Killian to make the point or Killian run INTO the cave to get her. Or even just have Emma fall into Killian’s arms and Charming give Killian the Bro nod that he approves. The only thing I can come up with is that it is meant to parallel the other episode with an obviously deeper meaning of “Here, I’m giving her to you because I trust you with her and I know how much she means to you.” I mean in both circumstances Charming was obviously extremely worried about each of his children but he immediately delivers them to the people who he recognizes are worried MORE – Snow and now Killian. And I believe he understands why he needs to give Emma to Killian because I think he sees the kind of love he has with Snow in Killian and Emma’s relationship. And he knows how he would feel if it was Snow who had been trapped in that cave.
