it was beautiful to watch what Morrison and O’Donoghue were doing in the background—the way his hand never left her back or her shoulder, the way she leaned into him, the attentive way he looked at her. In those small details, we were able to see just how much Emma was opening herself up to being vulnerable with him and how much Hook treasured the moments she was giving him to show her how much he loves her. Perhaps the sweetest little detail was when the camera lingered on their hands, and we saw Emma move to intertwine her fingers with Hook’s—initiating a new level of intimacy yet again. In that one small gesture, she reassured him that she wasn’t going anywhere, and she silently asked him not to go anywhere, either. It was another way for her to show she wasn’t going to push him away anymore; she was holding on tighter than ever. I actually love this & she makes a really good point about the haters, we should simply pity them, they really are missing out on this beautiful, magical story unfolding before us all.
Actually Sarah, I think 4×09 maybe Rumple centric, because I just remembered a very old interview Bobby did where he said by episode 9, things get bad for Rumple..
I saw one theory from a SQ shipper, who thinks Rumple hid the dagger to kill Hook (promised revenge to Neal’s grave, and maybe he blames Hook because the reason for the bean was for Rumple who went bad after Milah left him). I saw another theorizing Humpty Dumpty. Maybe it’s more of an analogy for either Killian, or Rumple. I guess we’ll just have to see.

As far as Hook kicking the bucket- yeah it could maybe happen, just the same as they could kill off Emma or Snow or Regina or Henry or Charming 😉 Although since we know for a fact this seasonwe are going to get Killian backstory in 4B & that Emma will fight for Killian, I think it is a very safe bet to say, Hook will be fine 🙂I have a sneaking feeling that we’re heading that way this season. What else is there for Rumple and Hook to fight over at this point? Hook let go of his vengeance, so that’s not between them anymore. If anything, I think Hook will be the one to help Rumple realize that the way he is treating Belle right now is wrong and wouldn’t that be something? The pirate and the Dark One’s rival ends up being conscious.

That could be an interesting turn of events!
Hook is no match for Rumple’s treacherous nastiness or power, but he is far, far braver and equally as intelligent, cunning…and driven. Hook’s weakness is the intense control his smoldering passions and emotions have over his soul and brain(!) Hook is as hard-wired fearless as Rumple is hard-wired cowardly. It makes for a very interesting head to head combat between the two.
I’d never really thought of them in that way, but you are so right!
Rumple could destroy him in an instant but I think Hook’s soul-deep strength and bravery have earned him a grudging and oddly powerful respect with The Dark One.
I’d say that’s probably part of the reason he’s still alive today 😉

*This forum, yes, outside of a few threads has become a KillJoy’s stomping ground. But, we all know that no one existing outside of that mindset can change the stagnant negativity or habitual state of complaining and wallowing they prefer. Our choice is the same as theirs…find and support something that makes you feel upbeat/good and go forward with it, or saturate yourself in whiney drek.

That’s what I’m afraid of, that Rumple will become another Regina–someone who seems to be doing better now, and so expects everyone else to immediately forgive and forget all of the horrendous things they’ve done in the past without so much as a hint of regret (and then they will, for some reason). I’m just kinda tired of forgetting or ignoring Rumple’s vicious murder of his first wife because she hurt his feelings, then hacking off the hand of the man who loved her and actually treated her like an equal. I guess it wouldn’t seem so crazy if there were some kind of revelation from Rumple and he acknowledged that what he did was pretty awful.
I have to agree with this as well- I still have some issues with Regina using “light magic” while she is 1)Heartless & 2) had Sydney unjustly locked up in a dark cell at the time :/ But I figure, I just have to go with the story sometimes & trust A&E will work it out later, or I’ll forget about it lol 😉
