What I loved was her pointing how CS is a choice they’ve both made:
That same hope was present when Emma and Hook kissed in the Season Three finale. It was a much slower, softer kiss than the one they shared in Neverland, but it made sense for who these characters are and what their arc was about this season. These characters know to be careful with one another; they understand that whatâs happening between them is something to be treated gently, because they know how fragile love can be. Emma and Hook arenât falling in love blindly; they chose to open their hearts to each other with full knowledge of both the pleasure and the pain of love. They know how much love can hurt if it goes wrong, but theyâve helped each other begin to hope that it doesnât always have to go wrong.
For Emma and Hook, this second chance at love means knowing that youâre giving another person the power to hurt you but completely trusting that they wonât. And thatâs what makes this love story so different from what either has experienced before and so relatable for many watching it unfoldâitâs a story about two adults whoâve experienced the pain of love as well as the good. And yet theyâre still choosing to take that leap of faith with each other. Thatâs the bravest kind of love there is.

Series cocreator Adam Horowitz would only say that when it comes to the good (?) pirate, âThere is more delving into his past to comeâ â though the burning question of whom he traded the Jolly Roger to, in the name of finding Emma, wonât be revealed until âsomewhere down the road.â

I think we’ve had a fair amount of spoilers as well CS kiss, Date, Killy’s hand, Killy & Knave having history, Killy & Elsa interaction, Killy & Gold interaction, Emma will have past issues needing to be resolved, Emma & Elsa will be Besties, Emma will embrace & hone her magical skills, Killy & Henry will have more time together, then we’ve had ABC using the NL kiss as promotion for S4, our ship’/Emma & Killy have been in both promos this week If anything it’s Emma spoilers that are relatively thin on the ground đ So I think on the whole we’ve been pretty lucky so far & it hasnt just been slow for spoilers about our ship’, it’s been slow for spoilers no matter who you ship or who is your fav đ

It’s such a friggn cool part of the movie & it looks like Once is going to do it proud, so I’m right there with you POM- I totally buzzed when I saw that! They’re in the SB library arent they? So if they are, it looks like it’ll be ‘real time’ & that makes it even cooler!… Oh, maybe Killy catches Knave spying on them & thats why he decks him! It’s be awesome to see Killy ‘protecting’ if not Rumple, then Belle in some form- since they are part of Henry’s family & he really like’s Henry. ‘Tis my new head cannon đ PLEEEEEEEAAAAASE A&E, can we see something like this happen đ

Point being that it truly doesnât matter what ANYONE thinks about any character, if you enjoy a character and find others who feel the same, and can share that joy with them, then othersâ opinions donât mean squat in the scheme of things. (Grin) That is true for any character, dead or alive, gone or very present. Obviously, personal preferences and opinions aside, the main cause of negative message board crap is that some posters canât avoid trying to aggressively ruin other peoplesâ enjoyment by creating nothing but ignorant BS about a character they donât like. Truth or common sense doesnât matter, only trying to blame and accuse and denigrate other fans or the characters they enjoy becomes the main reason for even existing in a fandom. In the cases where people canât see beyond that particularly ugly, moronic mentality, rational discussion is rather pointless. You canât joke around or even empathize with them without the petty blabbering entering the discussion. I adore Hook. I embrace the gorgeous and not so gorgeous about his character. He entertains the heck out of Sunday nights (and DVR repeats) for me. When I can find others who embrace him in the same spirit, and can, with intelligence and wit and friendly sensibilities, debate about the characterâs intricacies, quirks, flawsâŚitâs massive fun. Visual and verbal, the Hook followers make me smile. Otherwise, ya know, I donât give a p*ss.
Yep, I’m totally happy to get outside perspectives & interpretations on the characters & couples I love though- I’m always up for a good debate đ I am however, far too much of a just person to readily swallow slandering a character or couple, because someone would prefer something else- if they dont like them/it, that’s fine, but try go about trying to sell personal opinion as fact.
I have loved the conversations I’ve had recently with SF & NF fans on other sites, because we stay with-in the facts set by the show- sure we can colour, add depth & importance to certain things based off of prior character actions & our own interpretations, but we dont go about spouting our opinions as fact, so it allows us to have some really good discussions.
What I have found most interesting in these discussions, is the acknowledgement by the majority that Killian is the better partner for Emma & he has well proven himself in that respect- this is not to say that SF/NF fans ‘ship’ CS in any way shape or form at all, just that the dislike of our fav couple, has been diminished & the opinion of our favorite pirate improved, by the acknowledgement of said misinterpretations.
For me personally I think Hook was supposed to be a character who was neither villain nor hero, he was simply a man who didnt deal with some emotional blows very well at all & as a result starting walking a very grey moral path, where his actions could swing wildly from entirely heroic one moment & entirely selfish/ dark the next. Good people can & do make horrible choices & I think Hook’s character took that to the extreme, which is why most people had a very hard time seeing him as an actual “villain” or “bad guy”.
