If I were Colin O’Donoghue, and I came here and saw how somebody talks about a character I’ve worked so hard to make real for so many people, I think I’d feel demoralized after reading what some of the people here have to say about Hook. It goes beyond the point of being anything constructively debatable, just hostile. More than that, the amount of attacks I see here on Captain Hook are really constant. Some of the posts make it sound like he’s everything short of being compared to satan himself. With a topic called “Eww Captain Swan Shippers”, what do you think that says to fans of Captain Hook? If it was “Eww Captain Swan”, that’d be different, but the topic attacks the shippers, not the characters. There’s too much negativity about Captain Hook, and too little posts that just talk about him. I’m not saying everyone has to like him, but if you don’t, then why attack him? I’d like to see more open minds, and positive comments here. I think that would feel like a breath of fresh air to me.
Exactly. When I first saw the name of this topic I was pretty offended, and I wanted to say something but I didn’t see the point because people will come up with some ‘excuse’ for it anyway.
Gypsy- I couldn’t agree with you more. It is ok for you to dislike a character, we all have our own opinions. I just don’t think it’s ok for people to, let’s say, attack a character when they know there are fans of that character on this site. If they were more considerate about it, then I wouldn’t care., but it’s just the way they go about it is what I disagree with.
For example, I don’t particularly like Neal. I could easily make a new topic just so I can tell everyone just how much I hate him and all the bad qualities about him. I’m sure that wouldn’t go down well with the Neal fans. Do you see where I’m going with this?
All I want is for people to be civil and tell each other their opinions, whilst taking into account that some fans may be offended or upset. It’s not that hard to do.I like it 😀
Also I forgot to mention- for the Captain Swan tag on Tumblr, you have to make an account to see it properly otherwise its too hard to read, it comes up in squares or something.@Sarah_TN wrote:

I like that idea. That would stop all of the arguments for sure and it would take away all of the tension. Because we do have the Captain Hook topic but there is still hate and stuff on there. And it might even help the admins to moniter the comments and make sure there are no arguments.

I really, really like Captain Hook, and I just can’t imagine the show without him anymore. I’ll agree Emma might be better off with Neal, but there are other women in Storybrooke (like Red or Regina). The Captain Swan hatred is really overdone, though. Who was it that said “Can’t we all just get along”? I know the guy who said it was doing it to be funny, but I’ll go ahead and ask everybody: Can’t we all just get along? 😀
If you don’t like Captain Hook, don’t put him on a rotisserie, just post and comment about the stuff you do like! That way, we Hook fans will feel free to talk about who we like. 😉
I love you 😀 lol. I think people just do it out of spite though-they know its gonna happen and they’re scared.
I feel the same way too-scared to bring him up. Because people always put him down and attack us when there is absolutely no need to. Its ridiculous.But I really do want to delete my account because I’m getting sick of all the attacks at Hook or CS. Nothing is being done about it, so I’ll just leave. Do you know how to do it?
