–The supposed Retcon. A and E have said MANY times that Rumple did not have his memories until Emma came to town. And now it sounds like he had them all along. WHAT?!
I don’t think he did. Regina was talking to him assuming he had memories but he was responding blankly. That’s consistent with Gold not having Rumplestiltskin’s memories until Emma arrived IMO.
Favourite moment, apart from Hook’s reaction to Henry’s revival, is that daddy-daughter moment between Charming and Emma. He’s proud of her and tells her so – then gives her a little cuddle.
[adrotate group="5"]swanning-offParticipantI think/hope it will be the belief of the town, or at least people like Wendy, Emma, Regina etc. It’d be a nice poke in the eye to Sneaky Fairy.
swanning-offParticipantAll makes sense – and I’d hold off on those cookies because Darling Bros almost had something to do with Henry’s adoption… just not at the end we’d thought off before!
swanning-offParticipantRegina’s line about having no regrets – and the look on Emma and Snow’s faces when she was beginning that rant. Like “seriously? You have no regrets about torture and murder and curses???”
Adored Hook’s response to Henry’s revival – “only the finest for our guest of honour. Captain’s quarters!” And then him ordering the bo’sun to weigh anchor…. which I think was directed at Charming!
swanning-offParticipantDaffodil actually. If you go to that bloke’s twitter stream, it all makes more sense. That bear was his wife’s while she went through cancer treatment.

Call me crazy, but I think Charming and Snow would actually understand Neal if they knew his reason was to get Emma home and to let her be the savior since it’s the same reason David and Snow let Emma go through the wardrobe.
Not calling you crazy, because I agree… but how will Emma feel [about her parents’ reactions] when this part of the puzzle clicks? I mean, we’ve seen her anger at being sent off to jail because “Pinnochio told you to!” aimed at Nealfire. Even though it has all worked out in the long run (sort of!) that’s still a harsh means to an end.
And it would elaborate more on the theme of the season: the Lost Girl. She knows why her parents sent her through the wardrobe tree portal, but that doesn’t lessen the pain of her lifetime of abandonment.
swanning-offParticipantAh but if you’ve spent 300 years in a search for your own immortality, wouldn’t you gradually devolve from a very bad man to a sinister monster?
This. Pan has gone bonkers over the centuries. While Malcolm might have been merely irresponsible, Pan is malicious, mean, scheming and simply put crazier than a rat
Moderator Note: Please avoid the use of foul language.
swanning-offParticipantSo is the boxing of Rumple his undoing?
I’m wondering that too. It may not be a death, but a boxing – with the issue that we don’t know if Neal or the others will let him out. not withstanding the spoilers that we know he will and he does!
swanning-offParticipantRe-building FTL is a process we really need to see play out, I’d hate for the show to just end with them all going back and we don’t get to see what happens next, but it’s not necessarily something that would qualify as blockbuster, super non-stop action packed storyline. So to see it play out gradually over a couple of seasons, with additional plot points like adventures involving other worlds as the main story, I think could work.
Yeah. While it wouldn’t be the same dynamic as the fish out of water stuff of fairytale characters in the real world, or real world characters in the enchanted forest, it would be still be interesting. The native EF people have become accustomed to modern conveniences (like Grumpy says in s2 – ‘flushing toilets, penicillin!”) and maybe those left behind have had a political/cultural revolution while all the ruling elites were off in the real world. Who wants to be ruled by a Queen, any queen, when the last queen you had destroyed the land for personal gain? (side note: seeing a socialist revolution in the context of a fairytale would be downright hysterical. Please do that!)
but I also want to see the opposite: Neal and Henry sitting down to watch a movie, maybe Mulan, with Neal feeling that it’s all a bit trippy. Killian Jones and Tinkerbell watching Peter Pan and having a massive “WTF?!” moment at this retelling of the Pan tale.
Captain Hook in jeans and a jumper. *sniggers*
All of this is comedy potential, but not dramatic potential. It would just turn into a soap opera if it gets too realistic: oh no, where will they live – in MM’s loft with the 7 dwarves? No space! In Regina’s mansion – would they want to live with the Evil Queen?
All these practicalities are why we need to go somewhere or do something that is extraordinary. No clue what that is!
swanning-offParticipantdoes she? I thought it was a fireball.
Anyway: this, basically.
