I’m firmly TeamBrothers, and not getting the Pan = PapaStiltskin angle. I mean, why describe him as the biggest evil in the world (season 2 finale)? Why be convinced he must die to defeat Pan?
It just doesn’t make sense for what Rumple has said about Pan to fit the father theory. But if they are brothers, equal in magic (latent or acquired) then it does.

As someone with some serious a-parent-quite-openly-expressed-how-inconvenient-my-birth-was history…. YES to all of this. Snow really could’ve chosen her words better, stressful situation or not.
We had a mention of Ursula as a Goddess., that no one believed in anymore much. That sounds familiar with Pan too–wondering what the story is here but I do think there’s a connection with wanting to be immortal, to be believed in and have followers. Curious to see where they go with it all.
This makes me think of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld and the “Small Gods” – in short…
- Gods on the Discworld are believed into existence, i.e. they are anthromorphic representations of things people want to believe in (The Lady is luck, Fate is fate, etc)
- When people stop believing in the god, truly believing, then the god loses its stature and power, eventually becoming a small god – a whisper on the wind
- Small gods can be “rebuilt” into ‘real’ Gods with belief

Blue Fairy’s hesitation did give time for the Darling brothers to get inside before the cloaking spell had finished coming down. Something is up with Blue Fairy but what?
Yeah – instead of saying “No – if Rumple asked you to do it then he’s probably made it such that ONLY you can do it” or something, it was all vague.
I hope he was sober when recording his lines….
Sorry. Just bitter. Was so keen to see MM at 2011 Soundwave and he was a drunken mess. Such a bad show from him (rest of the band was great)
