    Question: What happened to the final Battle that Rumble told Snow and PC would happen once Emma broke the curse ❓

    It hasn’t happened yet. Or is happening, with detours…. who knows.

    Question: Why did Cora bring the Giant jus to grow beans for what ❓

    To get back home – with Regina (and, presumably, Henry)

    Colin is around for S3 and it should be a lot, he has parted ways with his band probably because of how much time OUAT will take.

    Confirmed? Because I have to admit, I was wondering how much longer he could juggle an up and coming indie band* based in Ireland with an acting career increasingly based in North America. Watched something on you tube that was an interview with the band, and they mentioned something about him taking breaks to do acting, like The Rite. Well, a tv show is a lot more time consuming than a movie, if you’re a regular… couldn’t see how he could continue with it much longer.

    * I’m being nice. Listened to a few clips on You Tube, they really didn’t do anything for me…. 🙄

    Totes unrelated to previous chat…

    LOVED that Emma was honouring her promise to Neal that Henry wouldn’t grow up like them – alone. Even if that meant sacrificing their chance at bolting to save Regina too. *ugly crying again*

    I don’t think they’ll have many flashbacks next season. Flashbacks serve a purpose – we know all the pertinent facts about Snow, Charming, the Dwarves, Emma, Regina, etc.

    What don’t we know?
    – how Baelfire left Neverland, which you’re not meant to be able to do, and settled in 20th century New York to grow up
    – how Rumplestiltskin knows Peter Pan
    – how Aurora and Mulan found Phillip’s soul

    Flashbacks for those, but beyond that what do we need to know that will push the story forward? Not much.

    So a few flashbacks, current day Neverland, Storybrooke and Enchanted Forest (assuming that’s where MAP & Nealfire are). Simple.

    I think we need a pinned post setting out semantics of Once-universe.

    Creepy Pan Gang = the Lost Boys.
    Not because they are lost children, that would be the crying boys on the island. But the Lost Boys in the book are Pan’s gang, and these creeps in the cloaks looking for Henry are clearly Pan’s Gang. Ergo, they are the Lost Boys – just not as we expected them to be!

    Hook telling Bae about Rumple’s role in Milah’s death. Why hasn’t Bae brought it up with Rumple yet?

    Nealfire has had a lot of time to think this over. And remember, his mother chose to run off with a pirate. Bae wasn’t that little, she could have taken him with her. But she didn’t.

    At some point, as he grew up and processed all of this information, he would have had to come to terms with several pretty confronting facts:
    1. His father sought the power of the Dark One to save him from the Ogre Wars and certain death.
    2. His mother was cold and then did a runner with a pirate.
    3. His father, even when he was the Dark One, tried to keep Bae thinking nice, positive things about his mother – honouring her memory, even though she wasn’t yet dead.
    4. His father killed his mother by ripping her heart out and crushing it.
    5. His mother never attempted to come back from him, no matter what she might have talked about to Hook for – Hook said he and Milah talked about coming back, he didn’t say they came back to port to get him. Nealfire’s had a lot of time to think about the implications of that.
    6. His father crossed oceans of time and space and sacrificed their homeland in order to find him, so he could say sorry.

    Nealfire certainly got the sh** end of the stick when it comes to parents. One loves him and did horrible things because of that love. The other was seemingly ambivalent about him but died.

    Perhaps the easy way for Nealfire to deal with this was to never move past the teenage rant to Hook on the deck of the Jolly Roger – adopt some Regina style logic to the situation? Hook took Milah, which led to Rumple killing her, ergo Hook killed Milah.

    There was some speculation by various people about the Shadow’s ability to influence people’s minds. This was based on the fact that it looked creepy as all getout but kids (who aren’t Bae) are perfectly happy to fly off with it, so perhaps it was twisting their minds somehow.

    Indeed. Would explain why Wendy was all “oh the Shadow is WONDERFUL” when it was clearly the creepiest thing this side of the Ring TV drowned girl.

    It makes PP ridiculously ominous if GOAT are doing his creepy bidding, but don’t know who they’re working for, and don’t question it. Obviously they must know that THO is active in NL, but they obviously don’t get orders directly from the top if it’s been established that they don’t really know who they’re working for. Hook must have found this a terribly bizarre state of mind to be in, given that in his own life, he’s been a ship’s Captain, ensuring that everyone below him knew who he was and that he was in charge. It’s no wonder he was looking at GOAT like they were nuts.

    😆 Indeed! That look was great, and I think marked the point where Hook was “OK, I’m off.” It was less about imminent death and more about THESE CRAZY PEOPLE ARE WILLING TO DIE AND THEY DON’T EVEN KNOW WHO IS CALLING THE SHOTS????

    @Phee wrote:

    I’m not at all convinced that that Shadow is actually PP’s shadow. More likely that it’s one he’s taken from someone else, my bet is on it being Felix’s (Creepy Gang Leader) shadow.

    Thank you! I kept thinking “Rufio? No, that was the film Hook. What was this guy’s name?!”

    And Felix did seem to talk from experience about the pain of having one’s shadow ripped from them….. hmm. Something to ponder.

    @Phee wrote:

    As of right now, I’m thinking that THO was originally a separate thing set up by someone else, (Darlings?), which has since been overtaken by PP, perhaps because he saw them as a threat?

    Seems legit. After all, PP has moved from having a Shadow go to recruit/steal boys to having an entire organisation of zealously dedicated (and crazy) people hunting Henry in the guise of eradicating magic.

    @Phee wrote:

    If Rumple has some knowledge of inhabitants of NL, then how on earth did he manage to not find Bae there?

    No idea. Passed like ship’s in the night?
