Reviews, theories, and talk about ABC's Once Upon a Time TV show
So she just thinks that Neal is out in our world somewhere living his life not knowing about their son, and she’s fine with it.
Yep. She still has all the complex he-abandoned-me-for-prison feels, and presumably she still has the bug so August’s intervention/trip to Thailand still happened…. she just remembers things differently from Henry’s birth onwards.
I love their apartment. But if we think back… her apartment as a bail bondsperson was pretty swanky too. Maybe it paid well? Perhaps with a son to care for, she drifted less, settled earlier and was more established?
Theories off the top of my head:
I like #2 the best. Or #1, for obvious reasons!
There’s no uncertainty. If OUAT was to let go of Robert Carlyle as a regular, we would have been told about it. He’s not dead.
He’s just… resting.* Somewhere unknown.
* and pining for the fjords!
HookedFairy flirting over rum. Nice touch.
Loved that unlike her mother, who clocked Charming in the face when he snogged her when she didn’t remember him, Emma went for a punch to the crown jewels!
I need someone to do a screen by screen snapshot. I did not see Robin Hood – saw Whale!
I had a moment of “seriously?! THAT is how easy it is to destroy Pan’s Shadow – just chuck it on a fire?!”
At the risk of NOT overthinking this…
Everything that happened up until Pan’s curse still happened (i.e. Neal and Emma lived together, she went to jail, she had Henry) but Regina’s happy ending for her meant that she and Henry have false memories of a lifetime together after she was released from prison. In other words, nothing did not happen but Emma and Henry just don’t remember it. Neal went back to EF with the rest of them when Regina rewrote Pan’s curse.
It’s just the most straightforward way to look at it. The most logical and easiest for moving the plot forward. Otherwise there’s too many t-word conundrums and temporal impossibilities.
Rumple can’t be dead.
Favourite moment: right now, all of it. But especially Regina’s gift to Emma of a happy life with Henry.
Yeah, that was way too convenient. Could just be quick, to the point storytelling.
