Wasn’t it very much the sense to wreck this moment between Emma and Neal here? It was meant to be an awkward moment, crushing hopes before they really start blooming. And it will add a lot to the dynamic in this family.
Sonequa Martin-Green did a good job , as far as we can tell at this point (we know nothing about the character) Putting all shipping and knowledge about Emma and Neal aside, kinda trying to watch it as some stranger standing by chance nearby watching this scene (maybe easier for me as non-shipper) would say, Tamara came across as rather sympathetic. She is Neal’s fiance after all, and besides a short questioning look and a look telling that Tamara very well noticed these two have some history she reacted quite relaxed in this moment,no panicking who is that reaction. Curiosity on her side, a friendly distance, but open-minded. Seriously, I would like to go and take coffee with Tamara to get to know her better.
I’m not totally sure about the time which went by from the episode Manhatten to this one but my guess is maybe a day at best, if even. So, when should Neal have told his fiance about his son? He just learned himself he has one.
I’m not saying it wasn’t suppose to be awkward- I just really hoped that they would have come up with a better scene than what we saw. Personally- I don’t think the actress did that great of a job. I guess I am just used to the quality of acting where there is so much more in the scene besides dialogue. (hence, why its called acting- not reading). Adding a character for the sake of “adding dynamic” to an already dysfunctional family without that character holding up the quality of the show is pointless. Like I said- I don’t dislike her. I just want the show not to suck. As for it being a day and her not knowing about Henry- I guess I am going off of my own relationship experience where my hubby is the first to know everything that happens, right when it happens (and vice versa) He has a cell- he can text and call to use her car but he can’t tell her about Henry………… sorry that rings seriously suspicious.
I truly do not dislike this character- I am holding out hope for better writing/acting/whatever is going to make scenes with her better. It is like watching a potentially awesome story/character/actor like Hook- who can add to the story- getting thrown in there as a filler with a crap story (and in Hook’s case getting shown as a wussy). Tamara and Neal’s relationship doesn’t bother me, I actually think it will be good to shake Emma up and make her realize that she really really does care. (Plus she has my name- how could I hate that? LOL) I am just hoping that it gets better from here.

ParticipantFavorite parts:
– Bailee Madison- AMAZING as little Snow all around…
– Ginnifer Goodwin going “dark”… I love it!! She always plays the good girl- I want to see the dark side!!!
– Neal calling Rumple “Papa”
– Both of Emma and Gold’s conversations- He totally ships Neal and Emma and SHE called him family!! They always seem to get along- even when they aren’t getting along (like in Manhattan)
-The Pizza scene between Neal and Henry.. so cute!
-“Lfie is full of suprises” and accompanied joint smilingLeast Favs:
-Rumple being mean to Henry after pizza (I saw the spoiler on Twitter and I wanted it to be happy!!) and then scared the ____ out of him.
-Henry’s comment to Emma after Pizza… I really wanted someone to call him on this attitude- if not Emma then Neal needs to step in and be his Dad… just saying….
-Cora in general… sorry her character annoys me, and the actress plays it a little too “soup opera”
-Hook pushing Emma.. completely stupid scene, although partially redeemed by her hitting him with a can! I am not really a fan of the character- but I REALLY want them to write him better so he isn’t such a wuss.
-Tamara’s scene… Like I said in a different post- the air was sucked out of the scene when she entered. I would have liked them to make her introduction ALOT better.. not having her follow him and say “I’m glad I caught you” and eye Emma like she is either going to eat her for dinner or she wants to ask her for drinks. Poorly done in my opinion (and I’m not saying that as a SwanFire shipper- it was crap, let’s call it crap).. And someone PLEASE explain to me what happened to her accent? Wasn’t she supposed to have one? I was confusedtammythebear

Yeah, I think this episode revealed what may really be going on in Emma’s heart and mind right now…she’s at war with herself…her head is telling her to move on…she can’t trust him and her heart is saying she wants him back and I think that Gold calling her on that revealed that her heart really was winning until “ugh” Tamara showed up …Emma really looked hurt. And no…this doesn’t change my mind either…I don’t like Tamara…and I can’t wait for her to find out that Emma is Neal’s baby’s momma 😈 Yes, I will be gloating.
I couldn’t have said ANY of this better. I thought the scene was instantly wrecked when Tamara arrived-not because she is his fiancee- but because the actress and the character didn’t ADD anything to it besides a really bad introduction of a character. I am sorry but it you want people to like your character you better act the ___ out of it… without going overboard. There were good vibes all around with the “Life is full of surprises” conversation where he was going to gently mention his “friend” and then-WHAM- all of the life was was sucked out of the scene. The one good thing that came from enduring it was to see that #1 Emma still cares #2 Obviously Neal does too if he was calling his fiance a “friend” and “complicated” #3 Neal obviously hasn’t told Tamara about Emma or his previous life- including his father- at all either… not to mention that he has a SON… You would think that once you find out your have a son you would let the person you plan to spend your life with know… LOL I can’t wait for her to find out about Emma and Henry…hehehehe 👿

ParticipantSo apparently there’s a petition now to make MRJ’s a series regular..
I signed it, even though I am sure they will bring him back…
I feel I had to add this from tonight’s epp that i found on Tumblr…
Pay close attention to what Neal’s going with his hand after Emma learns that he’s like 300 years old. Too cute. They have to be endgame…
How did I not notice him do that? I have rewatch this episode 5 times already (and AWW he was comforting her)
LOL Her face when he said the part about being that old was priceless… all the blood drained 😯

ParticipantI have to say that after the PaleyFest panel (or what I got to see of it) I am REALLY disappointed that they didn’t say more about Neal and Emma- or at least Neal’s character and how that will develop. They talked a bit about Emma and Hook and Neal and a possible triangle- which doesn’t sound appealing either. I would hope that they come to their senses and keep Neal as a regular for next season to let his story develop. (Especially if they gave Tamara’s character an option for next season and she isn’t tied in as much as he is)…. I am keeping the faith, and either way I will go down with the SwanFire ship!!

ParticipantDid anyone notice the wallpaper in the bedroom?
When I was watching this scene I had to pause it to look at the wallpaper because it looked like swans. When I paused it I noticed not only does it look like swans, but in the center of the design there is a flower that looks like Emma’s tattoo
