Did Tink ever use the word true love regarding OQ. I remember soul mate, is soul mate interchangeable with true love? Hmm I have to go back now and rewatch. Think I will go back to the beginning and rewatch the whole show. That is once I can get past rewatching the finale every night haha. It’s amazing how much you can catch when you know what to look for; these writers are brilliant! On rewatch of 3×1 or 3×2 (think it was 3×2) I swear I saw a flying monkey out the window of Rumple’s castle when Bae was in there with Mulan before he sees that Emma is in NL. Haven’t freeze framed to confirm though.
I avoid the other threads because of all the hate. It’s too bad because it makes me miss out on some good conversation I am sure. Yes Hook likes to flirt and use sexual innuendos. It’s fun, some people are just too uptight for that I guess. He is a man of honor. Even the old version that brought Emma to his ship told her he hoped she hadn’t changed her mind. He is used to women enjoying his flirtation. I know I sure do and so does Emma.
I would have to rewatch but I think that Maid M said in the cell that her family thinks she’s already dead. I assume Robin thought she had died some other way that had nothing to do with Regina before Maid M was captured by her for helping Snow. Robin didnt know at the time that Maid M was in the jail cell or he would have gone after her, after all he did say he would go to Hell for her or something to that effect. Maid M never told Regina who she was in order to protect her family so even Regina didnt know she had killed his wife. I think the biggest danger to OQ here is the knowledge that Maid M brings with her when she tells him, no she didn’t die the way he had thought, Regina had captured her and then would have had her executed if Emma hadn’t saved her. Even if they pull a “Final Destination” on her and kill her off, this knowledge will certainly put a damper on OQ. I think OQ is adorable and while I don’t ship them hardcore like I do Captain Swan I would like to see them together. I just don’t see how this will be possible. But we are talking about Adam & Eddie here so anything is possible.
I think the theory that Elsa will be an antogonist for Hook has wings and am really hoping this is where we are going. We have had glympses of what themes Adam & Eddie might tackle next season with the whole Bandaid twist (not sure what the Robinhood Maid Marian ship name will be yet so I will stick to bandaid for now) The theme will be facing the consequences of a villainous past. Robin had thought Marian’s death was his fault and didnt know that in the unaltered timeline Regina’s excessive vengeance was responsible for it. Regina is going to have to pay the price when Robin finds this out because how could he possibly stay with a woman who would have killed his wife. Don’t get me wrong I love Regina but I think redemption goes beyond just changing. She had said in NL when she was tied to the regret tree that she didnt have any regrets. Personally I would love to see Regina have to face her past and it’s consequences because there is great character growth in that. I don’t blame Emma at all for ruining Outlaw Queen by bringing back Marian which could arguably be Emma bringing back Robin’s happy ending; she is the Savior after all. We very clearly saw the idea of facing who you once were when Killian punched the old version of himself. I won’t go as far as saying Hook is a villain and not just because he is my favorite character. We haven’t actually seen him directly kill anyone I don’t think. Closest was Blackbeard who might not even be dead Hook didnt leave the dock before he made him walk the plank. He didnt want him dead just off his ship. The only time we saw him directly go after someone was Rumbelle which don’t hate me I think he feels was justified. His apology to Belle was less than convincing and later in that episode he subtly refers to the fact that he feels justified when Belle tells him to be careful with the books and he tells her he is “working with a hook here” But they have all buried the hatchet now and as Hook told Emma he recognizes that you have to move past things. Hook is not a villain but he had strayed from the honorable hero type we saw in Good Form before his brother died. He got so caught up in becoming a pirate to steal from the king who was partially responsible for his brothers death and then later avenging Miliah’s death that he no longer cared about “collateral damage.” His journey with Emma has brought him back to hero status and he has begun to have regrets about not having been a hero as shown with the Ariel Eric thing. Perhaps Elsa will be a part of that collateral damage or fallout for not having always been a hero.
Thats just my 2 cents. Can’t wait to see how season 4 plays out.
That was the best episode ever! I can’t wait to rewatch. I should have taken the day off work! Still processing! So Killian outran the curse on his ship but his pirate crew lost their memories. I think he regretted the whole Eric Ariel thing so much that he decided to go search the realms to find Eric for her. His pirate crew wouldn’t have stuck around for that! That’s my headcanon and I am sticking to it!
