maybe snow finds regina’s heart in the vault instead of cora’s and having it in her possession, orders regina to kill her mother. not only is it twisted and amoral in a way,it has snow going dark without her actually doing the killing, not to mention that no matter the hate and disappointment regina has about snow, that would put a new, probably unsurpassable wadge in their relationship.
but maybe this theory is a bit much for a family show.
[adrotate group="5"]tanita_morsParticipant‘m guessing we will see cora take her own heart out near the end of the episode. it can be from 2 possible reasons.
she could have been in love with rumple, and on her weeding day she confessed it hoping to get him. he could have said that he doesn’t feel the same way, told her that her love is a weakness and that he wants the deal they struck to be fulfilled. when she refuses to had over regina to him and i guess successes in it because he didn’t get her, he could take revenge on her for it by dethroning the future king henry, leaving cora with nothing, and in her moment of anger she takes her heart out to never be so weak again.
or she loved henry and lead rumple on. when he confesses his love for her and offers her everything (he is the dark one after all), she could have laughed in his face, called him weak and told him that no one could every love a man like him. she had all she wanted, a prince, wealth and child. when she played him for regina, again rumple may act like a lover scorned and take it all from her – henry’s title, wealth and social standing – all she ever wanted. in that moment, she would hate herself for her weakness in loving henry and regina, and take her heart out so it would never happen again.
i think cora is surely going to bite it and the end of the episode, and it will be either snow or regina who will kill her. for me, regina will be the more logical choice. she is capable, the one most wronged by cora, finally realizing just how manipulated she was and that what her mother feels for her is not the love a person has for their child, it will be to ultimatly protect henry, not to mention it will be a full circle moment with her taking the lives of both her parents.
man, this episode is going to be chilling.
tanita_morsParticipantAlso, I wouldn’t mind them making Rumple Regina’s dad. Those 3 characters have a lot in common and are mirrored a lot (particularly in the parent-child way, with all 3 of them having lost their kid one way or another and desperately trying to get them back. It’s like a vicious cycle repeating itself over and over). So it would make even more sense to me (even though the familial relationships in this show are already crazy enough).
tanita_morsParticipantI do think Cora managed to seduce him or they had an affair back then, In their reunion, Rumple looked very uncomfortable and uneasy. He almost didn’t know how to react. You don’t act like that with someone you see beneath you and someone you had wrapped round your finger. Something tells me that Cora knows all of Rumple’s weaknesses and he couldn’t wait to get rid of her because of it. Also, was that the first time someone proposed a deal to him, and not the other way around.
I loved their scene, and so much of the dialog was fascinating. “Darling, I have no reason to cheat you. ” “Not any more”. Is this about baby Regina and the fact that Cora owns him a child, did Cora try to control him before with the dagger, is it on a more personal level, maybe she chose Henry Sr over him (although I don’t really see that happening because the Dark One trumps any man more or less), ….
I really can’t wait for this episode and The Queen Is Dead.

tanita_morsParticipanttanita_morsParticipantjane is right that you should give the audience what they need, not what they want. otherwise, your show will turn out like glee – the epitome of fan service and how it destroyed a once actually great and fun show. now it’s all about shipping and pleasing the shippers without a thought of continuity or correct characterization.
