Yeah, this seems to be the first time someone has actually talked about MRJ not being around set anymore instead of vague comments about his character. I also find it interesting that that section was omitted from the original transcript. Again, let’s shove MRJ/Neal under the rug and pretend like he doesn’t exist. Oh hello there friendly hobo. I’m okay RG. I was shaking a little to see people talking about it in the chat, because I really really didn’t want to be starting an unsubstantiated rumour, especially something like this about MRJ. I was just floored by my conversation at work and then the internet failed me. I should have waited until tonight to talk to people privately instead of posting here, but have a long day ahead of me between both jobs and I didn’t think I could take stewing over this for 12 hours. This my fault. I should have just waited and kept it to myself.

@POM – I feel like if ABC was actually being vindictive towards an actor they wouldn’t have them return in later episodes, even if they were just small bit parts. You don’t hurt your relationship with an actor and then make them come back for bit parts, do you? That just seems cruel and stupid, but then again I don’t know what goes on behind the scenes on TV shows.

@rainbow – I don’t know if it was ever backed up with admissions from ABC, but the common theory is that it happened to actor on Lost before. DUI and you get written off. It might be an ABC thing.

@Phee – That’s what I figured. When they started talking about this like it was common knowledge I was just floored because there would be NO WAY something like that wouldn’t have been all over the internet, especially all over this thread/tumblr. But that there are people would believe this is why the death happened, or that this even happened in the first place (if it hadn’t) just bothers me a lot.
